Now I look at the videos and hear the songs and actually appreciate it all, especially him. What a fucking DILF.

R2 35 is a DILF in gay years
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 3, 2023 12:06 AM |
I'm convinced the guy who did the album cover of Bruce's ass was gay. Had to be.
His politics always have been excellent, too. Chris Christie worships him and Bruce refuses to meet him.

Not on DL r4. That's practically a twink.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 3, 2023 12:08 AM |
I don’t think he was gay. But he knew what a good cover that would make. It was all American. Him in his blue jeans
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 3, 2023 12:10 AM |
A 35 year old having a high school aged kid wouldn’t be abnormal. Dilf is fine to describe him.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 3, 2023 12:12 AM |
If you are over 30 and have a kid, you are eligible to be a DILF.
I get not using it on some 22 year old parent but over 30, yeah it’s ok.

Courtney COCK-Arquette was nevah a boy!

by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 3, 2023 12:46 AM |

Because you don’t “turn” gay.

Many years ago, circa 1975, a woman I worked with was a member of Bruce's entourage/groupie. One day she brought in photos of Bruce and the band hanging out at a motel pool when they were touring. I found it fascinatimg Bruce was wearing a Speedo and looking mighty fine in it
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 3, 2023 1:30 AM |
Same, OP. I was ten in 1984 and I thought he was an Americana dorkus. A couple years ago as I was inching towards 50 it finally clicked. I realized that Bruce was a MAJOR hunk, always has been, still is. I still don't love that Born in the USA jazz, nor the whole E Street razzamatazz with the blaring sax (unless I'm really in the mood, but that's rare) but I love some of his other songs. "Candy," "Tunnel of Love," "Philidelphia," "I'm On Fire" and several others. He's just gorgeous. And has integrity to boot.

I used to read my mother's National Enquirers which were filled with scuttlebutt about celebrities spotted out and about. One said that Bruce Springsteen was seen in a high end mens wear shop buying thong underwear. As a gayling I was shocked and aroused.

R31 I’m pretty sure there were a lot of patriotic black Americans back in the 80s also. Unlike now.

If you think Springsteen was a "DILF" in 1984-85, I guess you don't know what DILF means. Or maybe you're normally attracted to barely legal males, so to you Springsteen in his mid 30s was a DILF by comparison?

R41 DILF means a Dad Id Love To Fuck.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 3, 2023 2:24 AM |
I know what DILF means, and what I'm saying is that I'm surprised anyone would describe Bruce Springsteen in the mid 1980s as a DILF, considering his chronological age and how old he looked and seemed back then. And yes, I understand that a 35 year old can be a father, but that's not the age group people normally refer to as "DILF." (I mean, 16-year-olds can father children as well.)

I could have sworn Bruce was born in 1946, but Wiki says 1949. I guess he's been around too long for that not to be easily disputed. But I distinctly remember being in a doctor's office in very early 1996 and there being a cover story on how the "Baby Boomers" were turning 50, with certain celebrities being highlighted as doing the same. The two photos I recall clearly were Bette Midler (who had just turned 50) and Bruce Springsteen.
I've also never been a big enough fan of his to follow him closely enough to know what his age was. And I was too young to know who he was when he first hit the music scene. The first song of his I remember hearing was Hungry Heart.
Oh well. 🤷🏻♂️
by Anonymous | reply 54 | October 3, 2023 4:40 AM |
Per Wiki:
[italic]"Backstreets" has also been interpreted as a narrative about a homosexual relationship because the name Terry is sexually ambiguous. It has also been said to potentially represent a platonic but intense friendship between two men that has faded. However, listening to any of the numerous bootleg versions of "Backstreets" from the 1978 Darkness Tour, Terry is repeatedly referred to as "she" and "little girl," indicating that Terry is indeed a woman. Another interpretation is that it is about Springsteen's relationship with his early 1970s girlfriend, Diane Lozito. In his autobiography, Born to Run, Springsteen states that "Backstreets" is about a broken friendship.[/italic]

A helpful guide for the numerically challenged, all based on 2023 as our current year
70 years ago = 1953
60 years ago = 1963
50 years ago = 1973 (Watergate era - Nixon resigns 1974)
40 years ago = 1983 (hard to believe this is 40 years ago!!!)

by Anonymous | reply 81 | October 3, 2023 11:19 PM |
My mother never liked his music or cared for him but my stepdad was a fan and has his Born in the USA album. That era was inescapable in general.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | October 3, 2023 11:27 PM |
I hated that entire era. Like you said, it was inescapable. Everywhere you looked he was there, his videos always in circulation and radio stations playing his songs on loop. His USA era was massive and that tour was huge. I got so sick of him and his songs, and fast.
However, like OP said, I now can hear the songs and appreciate them. I see the video and appreciate it. At the time I didn’t but time changes that.
As far as Bruce himself, yes, he was fuckable. And still is in his 70s. I’d still let him smash.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | October 3, 2023 11:31 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 85 | October 4, 2023 2:35 AM |
Cover Me is another great song.
I was a kid back then, and I agree with the posters who said that his songs got played so much it got kind of tiring. With the perspective of time, however, I can listen to all of his 80s songs without prejudice. He was and is an amazing talent.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | October 4, 2023 3:11 AM |
Bruce has so many great songs and just to mention a few. Jungle Land, Rosalita, If I Should Fall Behind, Waitin’ On A Summer Day, Mary’s Place, Jersey Girl, Sherry Darling, Secret Garden, Let’s Be Friends (Skin to Skin), Bobby Jean, One Step Up, Something in the Night, No Surrender, Girls in Their Summer Clothes and so many more. Hopefully Bruce will reschedule his concerts that he canceled due to his health in my city. I have a feeling this could be his last tour.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | October 4, 2023 4:23 AM |
Getting tickets to any of his shows is a logistical nightmare. It's primarily persistence and luck. My first Bruce concert was in 1978 Darkness tour at Madison Square Garden. I've seen him about 15 times between then and around 2002. But I was unable to see him on the Springsteen on Broadway run even though he had over 200 shows. Unless of course I was willing to pay over $2,000 a ticket. His recent tours were also impossible. I think the last time I saw him was 20 years ago. I would have liked to see him one last time, but it doesn't seem likely.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | October 4, 2023 11:35 AM |

You were so fucking ugly the priest said take that one out back and put it out of its misery. OP, you piece of everloving shit. I could shoot you but the gun would probably die of fright. When you were born they probably couldn’t tell where your mom’s gaping twat stopped and you started.

I saw Bruce twice, in concerts for his Darkness On he Edge Of Town and The River albums. Of course he played a lot more songs than just from those albums, from. His first two albums and a lot of covers. One concert was near Xmas and he did a lot of Xmas songs. But I didn’t like the songsBorn In he USA or Dancing In The Dark. And his sudden styled-and-coiffed image. He did look like a gay clone. I thougght before then he was a real working class artist and songwriter. Inevitable he would end up hanging out with Obama who basically abandoned the working class. I no longer listen to him.
