Manhattan Socialite Queen turned PnP Kween on the run, hid out in 5-Star Hotels before going to Riker’s

Addicted, homeless and running from the cops: How high-flying event planner Eever Norman hid out for months at the Waldorf and other five-star hotels

Eever Norman was once a high-flying event planner for the W Hotels who helped organize Fashion Week – then he was just high, homeless and wanted by cops for running from the law.

I think she's fabulous.

by Anonymousreply 1September 30, 2023 3:50 PM

Wow, quite a ride!

by Anonymousreply 2September 30, 2023 4:00 PM

Interesting

by Anonymousreply 3September 30, 2023 4:03 PM

I guess all the prison rapes got washed out of the story.

by Anonymousreply 4September 30, 2023 4:03 PM

But I'm sure he was always a really nice person. Probably on DL, building community through understanding, patience and kindness, when he wasn't unfortunately incarcerated.

by Anonymousreply 5September 30, 2023 4:05 PM

This is a well written article that maintained a linear timeline making it easy to follow along. Because it is published in the post, it is written on a third grade reading level and took no more than three minutes to read.

This subject received more than one lucky break in his life.

by Anonymousreply 6September 30, 2023 4:06 PM

He was only in until he made bail R4. And it's pretty clear he was blowing Blitz.

by Anonymousreply 7September 30, 2023 4:07 PM

Must be hard to freelance events again and be around the same people and same temptations. I wonder if he and Blitz are still in touch. As a gratitude thing.

by Anonymousreply 8September 30, 2023 4:08 PM

Blitz’s Bottom Bitch

by Anonymousreply 9September 30, 2023 4:43 PM

He survived the worst of the Bltizkrieg.

by Anonymousreply 10September 30, 2023 4:52 PM

And the Blitzkrieg…

by Anonymousreply 11September 30, 2023 4:52 PM

I'm seeing Luke McFarlane as Norman in the Lifetime TV movie version, THE FIVE STAR FELON.

Who should play Blitz?

by Anonymousreply 12September 30, 2023 4:58 PM

^The Rock, who else?

by Anonymousreply 13September 30, 2023 5:05 PM

I think he was an Eever Beaver to Blitz

by Anonymousreply 14September 30, 2023 5:07 PM

I'm seeing a cameo from Anna Wintour, ripping Norman apart for selling seats during Fashion Week. The beginning of his downward trajectory.

Of course, they'd never really get Anna. Maybe Christine Baranski? Wendie Malick?

by Anonymousreply 15September 30, 2023 5:16 PM

I previously played the role of Anna to quite some acclaim, R15.

by Anonymousreply 16September 30, 2023 5:24 PM

$500 for a front row seat—he coulda done better

by Anonymousreply 17September 30, 2023 5:25 PM

I suspect Norman continued "selling his seat" in Rikers... for the right price.

by Anonymousreply 18September 30, 2023 5:41 PM

I worked in a high-end hotel. One regular "customer" was an older Caucasian man who always dressed in a blazer, collared shirt, etc. He lived in a van. My coworkers liked him and allowed him to sit in the bar and drink coffee or tea, for free. He would tip $1. But man, he made a mess. This princess needed a jar of honey (vs. granulated sugar) for his tea and that was a mess. I didn't like cleaning up after him.

by Anonymousreply 19September 30, 2023 6:29 PM

And you bitched about it—most places he’d be treated as a god-send. No effort required…

by Anonymousreply 20September 30, 2023 6:58 PM

I wonder what it would be like to have to seek out places to simply rest or sleep. People who live in “stealth” vans experience something called “the knock”, a security officer awaking you by banging on the van’s window or door, telling you to move along.

I would feel so vulnerable all the time.

by Anonymousreply 21September 30, 2023 8:09 PM

He was high as a kite

by Anonymousreply 22September 30, 2023 8:09 PM

Addicts always find money to get high, this one was busted for shoplifting a can of soup

by Anonymousreply 23September 30, 2023 8:15 PM

[quote]Addicts always find money to get high, this one was busted for shoplifting a can of soup

And a copy of Vogue

by Anonymousreply 24September 30, 2023 8:24 PM

You gotta love this guy.

by Anonymousreply 25September 30, 2023 8:29 PM

I didn't see a link in the article to a book or something like that. So this is a PR piece the Post published to get some author or screenwriter to write what he desperately wants FOR HIM. Lazy-ass. (But it happens all the time.)

by Anonymousreply 26September 30, 2023 8:31 PM

What does that have to do with the price of milk?

Good story. The end.

by Anonymousreply 27September 30, 2023 8:40 PM

What’s that “E” button on his sleeve?

I did variations on this in Paris and Genève when I was a poor student.

by Anonymousreply 30October 1, 2023 3:12 AM

I think he's quite handsome. I definitely would.

That’s pre-meth/Rikers

by Anonymousreply 32October 1, 2023 3:38 AM

He looked pretty similar to that in the NY Post story video and images R32. He's very my type. Plus he has experience as a secretary after working for King Blitz. That could come in quite handy.

I'll bet he's posting on DL.

by Anonymousreply 33October 1, 2023 3:45 AM

I'll bet he posted this on DL, but I'm a cynic.

by Anonymousreply 34October 1, 2023 3:19 PM

I'm sure somehow has already optioned the film rights his story. I'd watch that movie. Now DL, whom do we cast as the lead?

by Anonymousreply 35October 1, 2023 4:17 PM

He looks like a young Mark Harmon at r31.

by Anonymousreply 36October 1, 2023 6:20 PM

"The party came to a crashing end when Norman was busted for stealing a Vogue magazine and a soup at the Columbus Circle Whole Foods on Labor Day Weekend and cops ran his ID."

You can't write comedy like this.

by Anonymousreply 37October 1, 2023 6:37 PM

[quote]Vogue ... Labor Day Weekend

Well, at least it was the September issue.

by Anonymousreply 38October 1, 2023 6:40 PM

Hence the more severe charge ;)

by Anonymousreply 39October 1, 2023 6:45 PM

It ought to be a crime to be in Manhattan on Labor Day.

by Anonymousreply 40October 1, 2023 7:34 PM

Labor Day weekend is great in the city. All of the biggest assholes are somewhere else.

by Anonymousreply 41October 1, 2023 7:47 PM

Young good-looking white males have always had a pass in NYC. I did. I went so many places without ID or question.

by Anonymousreply 42October 1, 2023 7:58 PM

Not just NYC. As mentioned above when I was in college in Paris I used the basement gym at the Ritz and in Geneva Hotel President Wilson, Le Richemond, and Le Bristol. This was all before 9/11. Surely wouldn't be possible today. But I wonder.

by Anonymousreply 43October 1, 2023 10:22 PM

Did you score some good dick or ass in the basement gyms, R43?

by Anonymousreply 44October 2, 2023 10:32 PM

Geneva, yes. Also friendly and workout buddies with Arab guys which was pleasant.

by Anonymousreply 45October 2, 2023 10:39 PM

Oh great, he's showing all his hidey-holes. Now other squatters are going to take note.
