I've held my breath. I've tried scaring myself. It has been over an hour and it's still going. This may very well be my last DL entry. I am probably dying.
I have hiccups that won't go away.

Deep-throating a large cock usually does the trick!

Give yourself a large surprise by falling hard on your Jeff Stryker dildo OP. That'll fix everything immediately.

You're probably just being a MARY! But, I had hiccups for a couple of days last year and it was fucking annoying. I called my doctor and he prescribed a medication called Baclofen. This did the trick and quickly.

Pineapple juice.

Take a large drink of water. Hold it in your mouth. Bend at the waste and swallow. I am not sure this will work for a case such as yours but it does work, I may have to do it more than once.
I have no idea why it works.

You have to force your diaphragm to relax. Take as much air in as you can, hold it as long as you can and then release it as slowly as possible over and over until they're gone. Everything else is voodoo and folklore.

Good, die.

I do the trick where I hold my breath (pinch your nose closed) while slowly sipping water. Always works. Good luck, OP.

When I was 12, (just a few years ago, mind) my dad had the hiccups for a week and had to be hospitalized! He now has Barrett’s Esophagus and can’t eat chocolate, tomatoes, or any of the other typical reflux triggers, and has to have endoscopy check ins yearly.

a teaspoon of sugar generally works for me

Make sure you have some quality stuff on your iPod, the EMTs are a gossipy bunch.

A teaspoon of sugar covered in bitters is even better.

Hold a teaspoon of sugar in your mouth and then drink a Tablespoon of any kind of vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is the best.

Try to swallow half a teaspoon of salt, dry. Also the gag reflex knocks out the hiccup, as in retching, so R1 wasn't too far off.

R15 = Mary Poppins.

OP, go to a doctor, seriously. This happened to me many years ago. The doctor gave me a shot, and it relaxed my diaphragm.

Sounds like rabies. Drink plenty of water because rabies makes you thirsty.

They went away, finally.
I had to take 50mg of Benedryl and go to sleep.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 1, 2023 2:24 AM |
That must be a relief, glad they're gone.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 1, 2023 2:28 AM |
r24 It is. I was being slightly Maryish in the OP but I was legitimately freaking out a bit and posted to distract myself. I'd never had them last that long.

r11 This was terrifying to read. Glad I didn't see it last night. Probably would've sent me into a full-blown panic attack, lol.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 1, 2023 3:45 AM |
I remember an "ER" episode with a patient who couldn't stop hiccupping and it turned out to be a symptom of some terrible illness. What I'm saying is maybe you should still panic, OP.

Very similar, take a glass of water, bend at the waist and drink from the opposite side of the glass from your mouth. Guaranteed. Probably the stretching of the diaphragm.

My work here is done. (Did your hiccups go away?)

R28
I was thinking along the same lines as to how it might work. And it does work or has so far.
