This song is a fucking masterpiece. He should have had more success as a solo star
“Oh Sherrie” (1984) by Steve Perry is better than anything he released with Journey

Separate Ways was pretty good. His solo career suffered because his voice was so associated with Journey's sound.

Why do we have a "music" troll who has the worst taste in music of anyone on the Datalounge? Does he/she do it to annoy us?
Seriously, why?

I don’t always agree with the music troll but he starts some good threads. In this case, I agree. Steve Perry has a great voice and ‘“Oh Sherrie” is better than any Journey song.

Foolish Heart is the best. Steve has gone on record saying that a big reason his solo career stalled was because his heart just wasn't in it. He really wanted time of to be with family and just relax.

Resolved: “Sister Christian” by Night Ranger should replace Pomp & Circumstance as the high school graduation hymn.
Why do I feel like the lone person who cuts his own hair to Van Stephenson’s EPIC “Modern Day Delilah”?
Did Billy Squier’s moves in his video to “Rock Me Tonight” teach anyone else out there how to dance?

Yeah, Foolish Heart is a beautiful song, co-written by Steve. I would rate it definitely above Oh Sherrie.
