I believe I was 6 or 7 when this song was released. I found the video today. I hope it makes you as happy as it did me!
OP, I am laughing so hard, I haven’t heard this song in a long time and the dancers are perfection!!! I already sent it to friends. I am determined to learn these dance moves now.

I'm very familiar of the song but I never knew what it was called. It makes sense that this instrumental was by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, but I didn't know it was called Tijuana Taxi. It was ubiquitous on the radio and in the media from mid to late 1960s.

Are you kidding, OP?! I became OBSESSED with both the trumpet, though I had loved it before with Perez Prado and Al Hirt. But add in the gorgeous HerbAlpert and it was Katy, bar the door! Had to buy and listen over and over to the TJB albums. ("The Lonely Bull" I think was their first hit. )
My favorite tune is "Zorba the Greek." Love a staccato horn. And the triple-tongueing? Mary! (This is from a 50-year-old memory.)
Finally at 16 I got to see them. The Greater Allentown Fair, summer of 1966. I'm somewhere right in the middle of the photo from that concert, on the back of the group's "SRO" album!

They are the actual "dancers" from a show called " Where the Action Is." Wiki:
[quote]Where the Action Is is a music-based television variety show that aired in the United States from 1965 to 1967. It was carried by the ABC network and aired each weekday afternoon. Created by Dick Clark as a spin-off of American Bandstand, Where the Action Is premiered on June 28, 1965. The show was another step in the then-current trend of entertainment programs that targeted the teenage audience by focusing on pop music, following in the footsteps of Shindig! (premiered in the fall of 1964, also on ABC) and Hullabaloo (premiered January 1965 on NBC). Dick Clark's voice could be heard doing the artist introductions, and he sometimes did filmed interviews.

I graduated from high school in 1967, college 1971. I wrote this Wordsworth quote (I had been an English major) in my '71 yearbook, for no words were more apt.
We took Elvis, Buddy, and Fats and turbo-charged Rock and Roll with the Beatles unto Heavy Metal, jettisoning the great Folkies like Phil Ochs and the Kingston Trio along the way.
We dressed, male and female, in brilliant colors and patterns, minis and maxis, and, of course, had "hair, shoulder length or longer 🎶." And our elders did, too.
We went to Woodstock. We joined the Peace Corps. We protested and died in the Vietnam Conflict. We wanted Clean Gene or Bobby, but Fate had us cast our first-ever vote for Humphrey.
But by 1971, we knew the Age of Aquarius was pseudo-science and not reality.
And that The Man was still in charge.
Ah, well. At least we can still watch our favorite TV shows from back then! I mean, we WERE called the "ME Generation!"

R45, I bet Little Peggy March from Lansdale, Pennsylvania will make you even happier.
She was 14 when she recorded this number one hit.
From Wikipedia:
On April 24, 1963, her single "I Will Follow Him" soared to number one on the United States charts. She recorded the song in early January 1963 and it was released on January 22, when she was only 14. It sold over one million records. March became the youngest female artist with a number-one hit, at 15, in late April 1963, a record that still stands for the Billboard Hot 100.
Her version also reached No. 1 in Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, South Africa, Uruguay, Canada's CHUM Hit Parade, New Zealand's "Lever Hit Parade", and Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart.
