She's a racist cunt, r1.
You must be one, too.

I have absolutely no idea of how you reached that conclusion (I have no knowledge of Bardot's racism either).
[quote]BTW, congratulations on your second post on DL!
Well, that's simply not true either.
Dumber than a rock, aren't you?

As long as movie stars have existed, crazy movie stars have existed. We're just accustomed to their craziness tilting left.

It is honey. Let me guess, you got banned and started a new account?

No, never been banned. I've paid a DL subscription for a few years now. This is far from my 'second post'.

R12 Bluntly, yes. I mean, this is a screenshot from my Account page which says that I have posted a whopping 15503 replies to threads!

[quote]You do realize we can see your posts, right, [R10]?
You don't understand how ignored works/doesn't work. It doesn't show all of a poster's posts. It mostly shows you posts from threads that you have both posted in.
R10 definitely has more than 4 posts - you just can't see them.

I haven't posted on the David Bromstad thread, how come I can see r1's post on that thread?

I've never posted in the David Bromstad thread. You must be mistaking me for someone else.

Looks like you might have gotten it wrong, r17, and anyway, I said "mostly". It may also show you ignordared posts from threads that you've read. Only Muriel knows for sure. ignoredar is an imperfect tool.
The point is, is that r10/r18 has been around for quite awhile - and you're a bit of a dick for wishing death on an old lady, even if she is a racist.

Your post is right there at r19.

In her 2003 book, Un cri dans le silence (A Scream in the Silence), she contrasted her close gay friends with homosexuals who "jiggle their bottoms, put their little fingers in the air and with their little castrato voices moan about what those ghastly heteros put them through," and said some contemporary homosexuals behave like "fairground freaks".
So she's basically a Datalounger

The most glamorous woman in 1960's French cinema said John McCain's running mate was 'disconcertingly stupid' and that she hoped she will fall flat in America's 4 November presidential elections.
And the sixties sexpot, who runs an animal rights foundation - didn't stop there. Bardot referred to Palin's self-portrait as a 'pitbull in lipstick' by saying: 'I know dogs well and I can assure you that no pitbull, no dog, nor any other animal is as dangerous as you are.'

When exactly did she hit the wall? Other famous women her age had a phase between babe and crone, when they still looked decent. She was either the original Claudia Schiffer or a crumpled paper bag. No in between.
I guess she got the face she deserved!

There is a good side to her:
[quote]What did Brigitte Bardot do for animals? Describing the achievements of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, her organisation dedicated to the protection of animals, she said: “We have financed the construction of a wild animal hospital in Chile, as well as a park to care for mistreated bears in Bulgaria, for koalas in Australia, for elephants in Thailand…

She was very lucky. She became an icon without either talent or any actual work. And lived long enough to air her fascits opinions. The wrinkled embodiment that there is no karma.

She's effective in the 1960 film LA VERITE directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot, who knew how to get a performance out of her.

In her book, she criticised racial mixing, immigration, the role of women in politics and Islam. The book also contained a section attacking what she called the mixing of genes, and praised previous generations which, she said, had given their lives to push out invaders. On 10 June 2004, Bardot was convicted for a fourth time by a French court for inciting racial hatred and fined €5,000.

I’m pretty sure she came from a rather conservative upbringing. Her father was a successful lawyer - Brigitte was a ballet student.
