I don’t like Angelina but I don’t think her outlook is so hopeless. Before Brad, when it was just her and Maddox, she became very involved with humanitarian aid work, especially in Cambodia (if I am remembering correctly). She of course, did it on a grand scale — she’d fly supplies in by helicopter for example and she also donated 1/3 of her yearly income to charity. That all changed once she was with Brad, especially the money donation, but they did continue to fly all over the world doing God knows what.

She has too many kids and while she can hire lots of help, she is still their primary parent. It’s a challenge adopting kids from disadvantaged countries. Almost all of them have behavioral and developmental issues that need a lot of help. In this area I think she’s sincere, but it’s a difficult situation to navigate. There is lots of smiling in photo opps, but behind the scenes is another story.
