R1, I don't know that Cyrus has had buccal fat removal. Just from looking at that picture she's obviously had a bad nose job and trout pout, and neglected to get a chin implant while she was at the plastic surgeon's.

But FYI women tend to naturally lose buccal fat in their late 20s or early 30s, so IMHO some of this may be normal aging.

I think the trend started with model Bella Hadid. If you see her father, Mohammed Hadid, she had the same full lower cheek area.

Young women get buccal fat removed to get a more sophisticated look. They're young, so they don't fully appreciate that they will miss that fat when they're older. Apparently, you can't just inject fat back into that area.

It reminds me of the '80s aesthetic, actually, with the angular faces, like in the Patrick Nagel posters.

I scrolled your link r14, and it is amazing how much work these celebs have had done. Most had normal sized lips and fatter noses. Different eyelids, too. A lot had a fresh, unique look but now all look the same.

Without plastic surgery I’m guessing some would not have gotten work.
