New York judge finds Donald Trump liable for fraud

In the order, the judge rejected Trump’s deposition testimony in which the former president said that the financial statements were not fraudulent because they contained disclaimers. Trump said the statements contained a “worthless clause” in them warning lenders and others that they shouldn’t be relied on.

James has alleged that Trump, three of his children, his companies and his business executives defrauded lenders, insurers and other entities.

What’s interesting is the majority response in the media (via comments) and social media of American citizens saying, “Good.”

The American media doesn’t like to cover it but reasonable Americans are sick of this grift and the response to this suggests that a criminal conviction would be even more satisfying to Americans who are engaged in the fight for preserving our democracy and the rule of law on our country.

A lot more people are paying attention to these things than the media and fake pollsters acknowledge, which bodes well for next year. Democrats keep winning by wide margins in special elections despite what the media says. And they are also getting more and more critical of how the media presents Trump.

And isn’t it ironic that the House is having their little impeachment inquiry hearing tomorrow when here is full proof of a former POTUS and likely candidate committing $2.2B worth of fraud and being drummed out of NY State and they’ve got NOTHING on President Biden. Talk about cognitive dissonance. It’s like a psychotic illness. And the Democrats on the committee will hammer them on this. Too rich.

Is he permitted to return to New York without being handcuffed and leg ironed? That would be a start. Banish him to the flyover regions he feels such a soulful affinity for. Those are his people. R22, I wouldn’t trust real estate people. They are incentivized to inflate prices, particularly when it’s not having to do with an actual sale, because their entire livelihood benefits from higher prices.

There is absolutely no way that it can be worth $300 million dollars and the county tax assessor says it’s worth $22 million, which when they said in 2020 and Trump argued it’s that was too high. Palm Beach County might get the valuations wrong but they aren’t undervaluing properties by ten times.

R30 - This is correct, especially in this case. There is a deed restriction on that place that seriously hampers what can be done with the property. Getting rid of something like that is next to impossible. If it said "no black people', yes, you can get rid of those, but what this one is, forget it.

So the fact that you will never be able to turn that into a residential space has a huge impact on what you could get for it.
