Gay theatre director drove the car which killed Treat Williams
by Anonymous | reply 65 | October 1, 2023 10:14 PM |
I’ll get this out of the way
“A gay theatre director, whoever heard of such a thing.”
by Anonymous | reply 1 | September 26, 2023 5:46 PM |
However, Koss’s partner, John Rucker, who was in the vehicle right behind, told police he saw Koss signal for the left turn. He then told police that Koss didn’t come to a complete stop before turning.
“I thought to myself, what the (expletive) are you doing?” Rucker said in his statement. “The next thing, it was just BOOM and Treat Williams was flying in the air.”
by Anonymous | reply 2 | September 26, 2023 5:49 PM |
Ugh I cam hear the sibilant s’s.
This is exactly the type of person who would post here.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 26, 2023 5:56 PM |
A commenter in one of the original threads about the accident claimed to know the driver (and his partner). I think that was before Koss was publicly identified.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 26, 2023 5:58 PM |
Death by—gasp—a 2008 Honda Element.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 26, 2023 6:00 PM |
Anyone else suspect he made a concerted effort to look like Matt Murdock from the Daredevil series for the trial?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 26, 2023 6:03 PM |
He should not wear tinted glasses in court and he should tame his “resting gay smirk” expression. He already looks way too polished for court in Vermont. All bad.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 26, 2023 6:04 PM |
said both he and Rucker were the ones who called Williams’ wife to “let her know they just ran into Treat.”
They sure did.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 26, 2023 6:05 PM |
The problem isn’t the glasses, it’s the five oclock shadow. It makes him look like he thinks he’s a hotshot. Everyone knows you are supposed to show up to these things looking like a choir boy.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 26, 2023 6:08 PM |
That's a pretty bold move for the partner (ex? now?) to make? He's basically saying yeah he fucked up.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 26, 2023 6:17 PM |
That statement was given at the time of the accident which would explain it’s flippancy- they were in shock.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 26, 2023 6:21 PM |
I assume the mugshot was also taken at the time of the accident
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 26, 2023 6:24 PM |
Partner is a real snitch.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 26, 2023 6:30 PM |
r12 he looks very remorseful. Hate to see someone during the worst moment of their life.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 26, 2023 6:37 PM |
[quote]BOOM! And Treat Williams was flying in the air
Sounds like the partner recognized Treat as the accident was happening, which I guess is highly likely as they are all theatre people in small town Vermont.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 26, 2023 6:40 PM |
Oh FFS the attended to him after the hit him, they didn’t know who he was while he was flying through the air
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 26, 2023 6:43 PM |
R14 there are two types of mugshots after vehicular manslaughter
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 26, 2023 6:44 PM |
R2 That story is peak DL, and should be this website's new tagline for a while.
“The next thing, it was just BOOM and Treat Williams was flying in the air!”
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 26, 2023 6:53 PM |
If Dr. Amy Phillips was driving it would have been BOOM BOOM BOOM
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 26, 2023 6:59 PM |
I suspect the partner will be gone soon
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 26, 2023 7:25 PM |
The partner gave them statement at the accident and they are still together.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 26, 2023 7:32 PM |
Was the driver drunk?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 26, 2023 8:45 PM |
No.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 26, 2023 8:47 PM |
In all seriousness - it’s a horrifying story. We’ve all done stupid shit while driving or zoned out for just a minute and had close calls, but by the grace of god (MARY!) no one has gotten hurt.
This DLer probably got distracted for a second and made a left turn and next thing he knew Treat Williams was dead and his life was ruined. It’s a complete nightmare.
And motorcycles should be outlawed. There will always been human error - no matter how safe you think you’re driving the motorcycle. You’re no match for a car. Even in a helmet and with experience.
Tragic on every level. Including the partner narc’ing to the cops.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 26, 2023 8:54 PM |
Did he hit Williams in revenge for his performance in “The Ritz”?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 26, 2023 8:59 PM |
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 26, 2023 9:09 PM |
R27 And tall! Imagine the pendulous dong he must be hiding in those jeans...
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 26, 2023 9:22 PM |
The tall ones don't always have big ones.
Sometimes, but not always.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 26, 2023 9:23 PM |
Koss can't sing for shit. Freakish teeth too.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 26, 2023 9:24 PM |
R30 OMG the comment on that video....
"Wait is that the guy who killed Treat Williams?"
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 26, 2023 9:29 PM |
When I first saw this post I thought it had to be Lin-Manuel Miranda.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | September 26, 2023 9:34 PM |
R7&R9 are right-his lawyer should have advised him to lose the tinted glasses and the "10 o'clock shadow" (that's almost a full grown beard). He comes off unrepentant and a little "sleazy" looking, especially in the OP photo. WTF is up with that weird half-smirk?
If God forbid that had happened to me, I'd feel so depressed and guilty, I'd be sobbing hysterically, not posing and "half-smiling".
Maybe Rucker and Koss are "still together" because of appearances? Perhaps Koss' attorney advised them not to break up until after the trial, as it might make Koss appear "guiltier if they broke up now?
Either Rucker is super tall, little 6'6", or Koss is super short. Either way Rucker definitely has BDF.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 26, 2023 9:46 PM |
R25-All kidding aside, I thought Treat's performance was the best thing in that crappy movie.
I saw the original play (Rita was out) and thought it was hysterical. Couldn't wait to see the movie-what a let down-even Rita stank. She seemed like she'd rather have been anywhere else.
Thought Treat was very cute and naturally funny. Kept hoping his towel would drop and we'd at least get an ass shot. Had to wait for "Hair" to see that gorgeous ass in all it's glory.
What a tragedy for all concerned-by all accounts, Treat was as nice as he was gorgeous (in his prime).

[quote]If Dr. Amy Phillips was driving it would have been BOOM BOOM BOOM
And if Emeril Lagasse were driving it would have been BAM!
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 26, 2023 10:14 PM |
[quote]Gay theatre director drove the car which killed Treat Williams
Obviously the driver saw Treat in "Hair."
by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 26, 2023 10:22 PM |
[quote]said both he and Rucker were the ones who called Williams’ wife to “let her know they just ran into Treat.”
At least they didn't knock on the door and say "Trick or Treat!"
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 26, 2023 10:34 PM |
Hasn’t Koss said that he and Treat were friends?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 26, 2023 10:40 PM |
I saw Treat in Over Here! My 16 year old wee wee did somersaults every time he came on stage.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 26, 2023 11:00 PM |
You know what I’m starting to notice. The camera man never dies and neither does the driver.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 26, 2023 11:15 PM |
Like that asshole that killed James Dean.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | September 26, 2023 11:22 PM |
The guy who killed James Dean never spoke about it. I imagine he felt guilty for the rest of his life.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | September 26, 2023 11:39 PM |
“ The guy who killed James Dean never spoke about it. I imagine he felt guilty for the rest of his life.”
Wrong. I saved you all from his “Island of Dr. Moreau”
by Anonymous | reply 44 | September 27, 2023 12:36 AM |
R39 if you had a "wee wee" at 16 I'm assuming you're still a sad virgin.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | September 27, 2023 12:49 AM |
[quote]And Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s husband.
What are the odds that the man who killed James Dean also killed Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s husband?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | September 27, 2023 12:58 AM |
That partner certainly threw him under the bus!
by Anonymous | reply 47 | September 27, 2023 1:05 AM |
[quote]Rucker definitely has BDF.
The shorter guy has bdf. The taller guy is just tall.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | September 27, 2023 1:12 AM |
That was no way to treat Williams
by Anonymous | reply 49 | September 27, 2023 1:25 AM |
R14 Isn't that his mugshot in r12? He looks scared shitless and that's about it. In court, he looks smug.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 27, 2023 3:00 AM |
I wouldn't say he looks smug at OP. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was probably nervous. He does look remorseful in the mug shot.
The boyfriend just blurted out what happened - he was questioned by cops right after it happened. He's not a "snitch."
Theater director had no prior criminal record and was not drunk / not intoxicated. He was driving a 2008 Honda Element, so not the type of car you're trying to show off in. I wouldn't be surprised if he got some type of no-jail deal.
If this case went to trial, the boyfriend would be subpoenaed to testify about what he saw.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 27, 2023 6:19 AM |
R52, What if they conveniently marry?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 27, 2023 7:36 AM |
R52-I may be wrong, but they didn't they change that law several years ago?
by Anonymous | reply 54 | September 27, 2023 2:10 PM |
Has Laura Bush commented?
by Anonymous | reply 55 | September 27, 2023 11:48 PM |
R55, She should, she really should.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | September 28, 2023 12:23 AM |
I really feel bad for both of them. Treat Williams because he's dead, but this guy because he just made some stupid, easy mistake that 95% of drivers have done at one point - and now, his whole life is ruined? One second of bad judgement
by Anonymous | reply 57 | September 28, 2023 12:53 AM |
[quote]That partner certainly threw him under the bus!
Seems fair.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | September 29, 2023 7:49 PM |
Eventually he will write and stage a play about the accident and its aftermath, including dramatic courtroom scenes. The Treat Williams Project.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | September 29, 2023 7:57 PM |
Darn stupid motorcycles.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 29, 2023 8:46 PM |
OP, it's the car WHO killed...
by Anonymous | reply 61 | October 1, 2023 9:55 PM |
What's your (anyone who wants to answer) guess as to the percentage of gays and lesbians in the US who have heard of DL? And of those, what percentage would you guess are posters here?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | October 1, 2023 10:12 PM |
R61, I believe you mean "the car WHOM killed..."
by Anonymous | reply 63 | October 1, 2023 10:13 PM |
Ah, thank you, r63!
Oh, dear, myself!
by Anonymous | reply 64 | October 1, 2023 10:14 PM |
Seriously, it would be "the car THAT killed...", right?
DL copy editors, when does one use "that" vs. "which" and so on with regard to an inanimate object?
