This brings up a question I've had for awhile now: Do these celebrities take the semaglutide as directed 1x/week), or are they doubling up and/or taking it more frequently than directed? Or is it if you're not actually diabetic the weight loss is quicker and more dramatic?

Because I've been on Ozempic since January + my old 20 years standby Metformin (for PCOS-induced insulin resistance that eventually turned into Type 2), and my weight has been more or less stable (55 lbs over recommended weight), even with increased physical activity and diet modification.

It has side effects. That’s why you go up in increments. You usually start out at 0.25, then double it after a month. If you had a rough time you might stay on the same dose for a little while longer to better acclimate yourself, or you can go up to 0.3 or 0.4mg, taking longer to increase your dose.

The top dosage — I think —is 2.4 mg. The highest I went to so far is 1 mg. I switched to Mounjaro and did well on that - no side effects - but my appetite came back after 2 months. So now I’m back on semaglutide at 0.5 and will go to 0.75 next week. Most people just double their dose, though. I’m extra careful. If someone were to start our at 2.4mg I think they’d be very surprised at how awful the side effects are. Ya gotta build up, even with Zofran and Gas X as co-treatments.

I’ve lost 33 lbs since January and am looking to lose 7 more. It takes me a long time to lose because I’m a little too careful with dosing. I can wait a few months to get to my goal weight rather than increase dosage willy nilly.

40 lbs in one year = 3.3 lbs a month and that’s fine with me. I’ve dieted and exercised, etc, but coukd not - no matte4 what - get below a 25 lb weight loss. Months and months and months of no weight loss after 25 lbs. I’m very glad to be below that now and 40 lbs will be perfect for me, bringing me down to 105 lbs.

Oh, btw semaglutide = Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus. Same drug.

Not Ozempic, Probably Mounjaro. Munjaro is less known and produces greater and faster weight loss especially in people who are not morbidly obese. You can go on it for a few months and then get off it.

According to an article I read, yes. Actual diabetics experience slower weight loss and tend to lose less according to studies. It just depends though. A woman I have been following forever started Ozempic 6 months ago (she has a connection in Canada) has lost 80 pounds in less than six months. She’s a post-menopausal woman in her mid-fifties no less. But she is also eating very strictly. Very low carbs (so no sugar), 1500 calories a day, exercises regularly.

Because Ozempic kills the appetite so you aren’t hungry on a 1500 calorie diet and turns down the food noise as well as cravings. Obviously. Why else would any of these Hollywood people be on it?

R34 Because Ozempic makes it possible for regular people and lazy celebs to eat that low calorie diet and be content. Ozempic works like an appetite suppressant. Obviously it’s so much more than that but it makes you feel full. Ozempic is not a weight loss drug and does not make you burn calories faster. It literally makes you a whole lot less hungry. A whole lot less.

I've noticed that the only pop stars that manage to keep their figures (in a consistent way) are women who have trained as dancers, whether in school or professionally.

I can’t remember what she said her height was exactly, but she talked about it in a magazine way back in the day when she was first breaking out. She referred to herself as a shrimp. It was definitely less than 5’ 5”.

Lady Gaga has been very skinny before and has talked about being skinny in negative terms. For example, look at 3:18 on in the video Telephone. She has zero fat.

Of course, it is possible Gaga was using the "Janet Jackson Skinny Lens" which was developed by tech geniuses at MIT and CalTech to mask Janet's Thunder Thighs.

r42 Not really. You can still eat crap on Ozempic but you will pay for it. I am on it for my Type 2. Some foods would give me nights of pain even if I didn't overeat. There is an adjustment period where you learn to deal with it. Then came the explosive shits. Once I got over that my life was pretty normal. I have always been active, worked out, and played football in high school and a bit in college but was always a "bug guy" Carried about 50 pounds extra, and no matter what I did could not lose it. Once I moved into pre-diabetic/type 2 my doctor put me on metformin and ozempic. 1 mg a week. My latest labs show me as having normal blood sugar and insulin response.. Pulled a 4.9 on my last A1C. And that 50 pounds? 30 of it are gone in six months. I don't eat twigs and berries. I ate what i ate before but now my body processes carbs correctly which is the real way Ozempic helps. They don't sit in my bloodstream kicking up my insulin and then getting stored as fat.

Since getting over that period of time, she has maintained a fairly normal weight, not too skinny, but not what anyone would call fat. Although, she always has moments where gets super duper skinny, like when a record comes out, and moments when she's more relaxed about her weight and you can tell she loves to eat and is in between projects.

Her whole Tony Bennet era she seemed at a healthy weight.

The pictures in the link below show a chubby Gaga. She had said at the time she was smoking a lot of weed and had been eating a lot of Italian food and ended up gaining 30 lbs. Maybe it was when she was having a lot of physical pain.

At her skinniest she's never looked like in the OP photos. That is the buccal fat removal. That's permanent I assume? What will that look like if and when she gains back some body fat?

I've lost 30 in just over 5 months . And time and consistency, among other factors, determine how much you lose, numpty. Two people are not comparable in this regard, except to say I didn't take Ozempic to get there. Nor will I.

The old cliche is that you can’t be too rich or too thin. With Ozempic, the latter part of that saying is turning out to be untrue.

I remember when she first became famous, her weight was always criticized due to ridiculous early 2000s standards.

It's like Christina Ricci (also part Italian), who is tiny and yet was criticized for her weight- I worked on "The Opposite of Sex", and she was so tiny and thin in person. When I saw her on the screen for that film, she looked voluptuous.

It’s unsettling how much the camera can distort. I was watching a TV show once where one of the actresses was standing next to her male co-star. She looked as wide as a double trailer. Yet in real life she is so petite. The actor guy was obviously so small himself that he made her look huge by comparison. He didn’t look like a little guy in the shot at all, she just looked oversized.
