We were watching a few episodes over the weekend and were surprised how many "repeat" contestants they had on. Like most reality-type shows, something is way too "unreal." I think the dating part is all staged. Also, there will NEVER be an American version of this show on the big networks (cable or otherwise) here. We can't even pull off Naked & Afraid without pixelating. Even the "uncensored" version is censored. I do think we'd see much nicer bodies, dicks, teeth and tattoos on an American version, though.

Are the people on Naked and Afraid really naked?

There's a sense in which this show was written by an incel to play to their deepest fears.

I'm old and have seen enough penises for two lifetimes. But what I like about the show is that it normalizes, well, "normal" folks, in all their nakedness.

I don't watch all that much pron, but I have these friends who say they do. And over years of doing so, it has skewed their assessment of what's normal. Decent-looking but not-massively-hung guys are dismissed with a wave of their manicured hands.
