The Maeve actress looks like Margot Robie.

It's kind of boring this season.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | September 24, 2023 11:04 PM |
Does the black guy have to SCREAM every line??
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 25, 2023 1:34 AM |
To say this was once one of Netflix biggest shows people really do seem to have stopped giving a shit. Only discussion I've seen about it is if that's actually Asa Butterfields real dick you see.

Saw two episodes so far and I'm enjoying it. I like that they've course corrected on the horrible trans characters from last season. They cut the killjoy perpetual complainers and added new ones who are just happily existing, much like Fred in HBO's Somebody Somewhere. No one likes being lectured to and I'm sure we can all remember how tedious it was when TV used to treat gay men in afternoon specials, instead of just as regular characters.
Also, here's the trailer for anyone interested.

I choose to believe Asa showed cock.

I heard it really stuck the landing, this being the final season and all. Unfortunately I'm swamped with other things and haven't had a chance to start it, but I'm very much looking forward to it.

I'm very much not enjoying the addition of this crying baby as a plotline.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 25, 2023 11:22 AM |
Asa Butterfield has gained a bit of weight.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 25, 2023 11:30 AM |
The baby's awful, but I'm enjoying seeing Jean being a terrible mother because she just wants to get back to work.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 25, 2023 11:31 AM |
Asa does look pudgier in the face and around the hips. And is it just me, or is his face getting molier and molier with each passing season?

Haven’t watched it yet, but Otis is such an ugly name. I hate it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 25, 2023 12:21 PM |
I'm neutral on it and I haven't really come across any men named Otis. I also just learned it means "son of Ode", which is funny because his new sister is named Joy, as in "Ode to Joy".

Loved its first three seasons. The fourth one felt really formulaic, but there were still many laughs and a few tears. Overall a lovely send off to a lovely series.

I've watched two episodes so far of Season 4. Last season, we got to know Ruby. And I'm really loving how the storyline with her, Otis, and the Irish accented other school sex therapist might play out.
The new school is hysterical. So woke it's going to crack.
Particularly touching was Otis' advice to the trans kid about being a teenaged boy, and Otis telling Jackson it's okay to like a finger up his bum as he's getting blown by his fuck buddy.

Ncuti looks about 45 this season.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 25, 2023 4:24 PM |
I binged the season. It’s entertaining enough, but it’s the weakest and most incongruous of the four. Many regular characters disappeared, and they spent too much time on new ones who never clicked with me. By the end of the series, my favourite characters were the Groffs, Aimee and Ruby. I wasn’t happy with the direction they look Eric’s character, but I don’t mind Ncuti as an actor. They are really trying to make him happen, and he’s everywhere. We’ll see if he sticks the landing.

Just finished the fourth episode and was thinking the same, r16. All the boys now look as old as Adam did in the first season. But that's just what happens in these high school shows.
Seems like not all is love and light in the trans/NB paradise, love that. I think it's pretty much impossible not to be a bitch when you're leading the cool kids' gang.
In other news, I'd fuck Isaac's brother Joe until the cows came home. Beautiful Redditch stock.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 25, 2023 4:38 PM |
I've had this screenshot of Maeve's brother's thick thighs on my computer for four years now. I can't seem to part with it, he just looks so fucking good passed out like that.
Glad we saw him one last time this season, even if he did look homeless.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 25, 2023 4:45 PM |
I can't explain why I have the hots for Adam (I'm NOT a size-queen so that's not it). But man, I just want to hold him and hug him and squeeze him and tell him it'll all be okay and then make out with him and jack him off to climax over and over, and fuck him a few times for good measure. And then spoon him all night long.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 25, 2023 11:44 PM |
I somehow forgot that Adam was bi and not gay. I don't really buy it for his character, but okay.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 27, 2023 7:53 PM |
R21 me neither. He seemed more straight this season.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 27, 2023 8:20 PM |
R22, I didn't buy him with that equestrian chick for one second. Zero romantic chemistry.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 27, 2023 8:33 PM |
The last two episodes were my favorite of this season. Was this the final season? Will there be a reunion movie in a couple years?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 27, 2023 9:47 PM |
Yes, this was the final season.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 27, 2023 10:26 PM |
R24 Yes, this is it.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 27, 2023 10:26 PM |
I felt that the writers should've kept the characters they cut (the two teachers, Ruby's friends, etc.) and finished their stories, instead of introducing these rando newbies in the last season.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 28, 2023 7:01 AM |
It was tedious until the funeral episode, then a sentimental but not bad wrap-up of the series.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 28, 2023 7:15 AM |
I loved this show. Season 3 was my favorite but they tied things up beautifully.
The acting was consistently excellent across that very large cast. Emma Mackey is going to be a huge star. And I will forever be in love with Adam.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 18, 2023 12:58 AM |
The last season fell flat for me, overall, with some good moments. The funeral stuff was very good.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 18, 2023 1:52 AM |
I loved this show, though it was very flawed. Most of all they managed to make all episodes look like the last season episode, if thst makes sense.
My favourite character was of course Adam. Next, was Ruby Mathews, who came out of nowhere and stole every scene.
The writing, though, was all over the place. In season 2 adam and ora are best friends and on season 3 I don’t think they even have a scene together.
Eric was initially a wonderful character but actually had a horrible decline. He kept being shot with moral dilemas and constantly failing them. I dont know if this was on purpose, i have still six episodes to go for season 4, but he is extremely annoying right now.
Black kid fingered is very hot.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 22, 2023 10:09 PM |
A show called Sex Education should have shown it’s hottest character (Adam) having sex more.

Emma Mackey is so gorgeous and smart. Her interviews in French are really something - note perfect French. She will be the breakout star of the show. Ncuti cannot act sorry and Asa Butterfield looks like a chubby alkie. Is he drinking a lot? He looks so so unhealthy. I know that he is a Brit....but still.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Dan Levy's season 4 role. Nice that he's willing to play a total self absorbed dick. Guessing he was a fan of the show or his agents were looking for some gig to hold him over until something better came along. It is great how many name actors now drop into existing series for a single season instead of their reps trying endlessly to launch them into new shows (where all the money is for them).
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 22, 2023 11:38 PM |
Dan Levy was the worst part of season 4.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 24, 2023 10:30 PM |
It’s so gd preachy this season and there are WAY too many characters.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 1, 2023 12:25 AM |
That whole parody of a 'woke' school was annoying. I think the show would have been more woke if they actually developed the Indian characters that they dropped in the final season...
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 1, 2023 4:14 PM |
After watching Hannah Gadsby pour chili oil on her vajayjay I never want to see her in anything, ever again.
Season 4 was a complete clusterfuck. I couldn't decide if the woke school was suppose to be a parody or something real. If this is the young LGBTQ+ generation we are fucking doomed.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 13, 2023 2:59 AM |
Reddit fucking hated it, so you know it was bad. Diversity and inclusion of the worst kind, it just tells me the showrunner spent way too much time listening to the terminally online critiquing the third season, and overcorrected in response. The whole thing came across like a parody.
I don't mind Gatsby as much as some others and she was fine in the more serious moments, but how can a comedian not sense that that chilli oil scene isn't funny in the slightest, even when it's just written on paper? Makes me question her comedic sensibilities. Then again, we saw Guy Branum say the unfunniest shit in Bros, I guess a paycheck is a paycheck.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 13, 2023 5:12 AM |
They all look at least 25 years old.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 13, 2023 5:35 AM |
Eric's whole God storyline was awful. The answer to homophobia in the church isn't to become a gay pastor.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 13, 2023 6:44 AM |
Just finally finished it.
I thought it was a fine end to a great series.
Kinda hated how Adam was off on his own, with almost no connection to any of the other characters. I mean, it's great he sorta started to resolve his relationship with his dad, but I also hated that the bi-male character ended the series getting into a straight relationship, because that's just so TYPICAL. Ugh.
Kinda sad Otis & Maeve didn't end up together, but I guess it's good she is heading off to bigger and better things.
The funeral episode was really well done. I cried.
The near-suicide was also well handled. Been there, done that, but didn't have anyone looking for me, and I had to save myself and go home. Kinda wish I had THAT level of support, but I loved how they showed them just not ready to be around other people yet. Because that is real.
The god stuff was corny, and a weird direction for the character to take. Loved the standing up to the church thing, but felt the pat ending with the pastor coming around was unrealistic. But on the other hand I kind of get it. I wish I had had any sort of such validating experience as he had. I never really did. I never really found my "tribe", and am pretty sure there wouldn't be many people at my funeral if I were to die tomorrow. Though he was an effeminate flamboyant stereotype, and I'm so NOT, I envy his love for himself, and all the support he has.
Anyway. Great series. Not perfect, but really loved it over-all.
