Even Helen Keller saw this coming. Almost all the BLM leaders were con artists.

Academia is such a fucking hustle.
It strikes me as a haven for those hoping to avoid doing an honest day's work in their whole lives!

Look at it this way
The sudden embrace of these initiatives after Floyd were done solely to assuage the management’s white guilt but no one actually wanted to change the workplace. TPTB essentially collectively decided they would find a black person (usually a woman) and make them Queen for a Day for two years, and then lay them off. They would create a new role for them, Chief of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, with no real responsibility or power to do anything. Then, after two years, they would lay them off.
The people who took these roles knew the score. I don’t blame them one bit, they were savvy. Two years of a high paid salary and fancy title. Why do you think this Antiracism Center produced so little research? Because that wasn’t the point! He knew it would be shut down soon!

Remember the episode of The Golden Girls where Dorothy was given a do nothing job by a former student out of gratitude and she found out hat it was previously done by a tape recorder?

These DEI departments and roles have become a real cottage industry not just in academia but in all corporate firms now too. Cushy number. Just have to keep saying 'we gotta do better' and now that affirmative action is in the trash can they can ratchet up the pressure to 'diversify' the student body but the university leadership can't have things like quotas or targets for number of students from X protected characteristic as it is unlawful. So they are in a real bind.

Not a fan of Babylon Bee but they nailed DEI roles in the intro of this

“In the U.S. and other Western nations, white people are socialized to feel that they are inherently superior because they are white,” reads one of the slides, allegedly sent from an “internal whistleblower” and posted on Twitter by YouTube commentator Karlyn Borysenko.
Another slide suggests “𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚” with tips including “be less oppressive,” “listen,” “believe” and “break with white solidarity.”
Borysenko, who describes herself as a supporter of banning critical race theory, said the screenshots were sent to her from an “internal whistleblower” from Coca-Cola, who told her the course was “required.”
