I'm not r5 but the songwriter, or one of them, was Allee Willis, who was indeed a chubby white lesbian.

She wrote or cowrote many many songs, including What Have I Done To Deserve This? by PSB and the late, legendary Dusty Springfield.

A side tangent but Allee was an interesting figure, wrote a fuckton of songs, had some really kitschy taste in art, and is worth an examination.
