Senate Dress Code - Fetterman wants to be Zelensky
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 24, 2023 6:35 AM |
To me there's a raw sexiness to Zelenskyy.
In contrast, Fetterman looks like a miserable H.S. football coach.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | September 21, 2023 8:32 AM |
Why won't Fetterman wear proper attire?

[QUOTE] there's a raw sexiness to Zelenskyy.
Sure Jan.

This freak can’t put a suit on to represent the state of Pennsylvania and the United States. Only 100 people get to do what he does. Put a pair of slacks on you dickhead.
The decline in standards in America is pathetic .
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 22, 2023 4:17 PM |
R3, I don't personally find Zelenskyy attractive, but at least he has a somewhat fit body. Fetterman does not.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 22, 2023 6:36 PM |
Sorry Sen. Fetterman--and I want the Democrats to succeed,--but shorts, sneakers and a hoodie are NOT appropriate attire for the House and Senate chambers. It looks utterly ridiculous, unprofessional and inappropriate. Despite the dismissive attitude of Fetterman regarding attire, what you wear matters.
The most that I would relax the dress code is perhaps not wearing a tie on Friday. But you must wear a suit or sports jack and slacks with a collared dress shirt and a tie each day; no T-shirts, sweatshirts or polo shirts. And wear dress shoes--no sneakers.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 22, 2023 7:00 PM |
Those fucking ghouls in fucking suits are all bought and paid for by corporate donors. Most of them should just wear the logos of the company that bought them.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 22, 2023 7:03 PM |
Yep, they should dress like NASCAR drivers, in uniforms covered in the logos of every corporation and PAC that owns them.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 23, 2023 5:18 AM |
R4 blame the 'woke' liberals, who are anti-tradition/-convention.
Conservatives at least are traditionalist who want to *conserve* the America we have known and loved.
But liberals are dead set on changing everything for the worst -- because they hate America!
You don't want to completely change something, unless you fucking hate it.

I hope Senator Fetterman gets another from his therapist stating that suits and ties and formal clothes are triggering. Turn this into an ADA pissing contest. Then Senator Fetterman can get an Emotional Support Vicuna.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 23, 2023 5:42 AM |
Yeah, he's overdoing it playing the stroke/depression card. I'm an attorney and I wouldn't show up in traffic court without a suit.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 23, 2023 5:52 AM |
He appeals to Gen Z
More power to him..
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 23, 2023 5:56 AM |
At least he's not going to the theater and pitching a fit and groping his date. Repugs - the party of family values!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 23, 2023 8:22 AM |
I wonder if any of this has to do with ultra-liberals equating SUITS & TIES with WHITE MEN/WHITE SUPREMACY and SWEAT & HOODIES with BLACK CULTURE/BLACK SUPREMACY?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 23, 2023 9:09 AM |
Easy on him. people. He has severe health conditions that can send him to the E.R. at any moment. that’s why he’s always dressed for the hospital. Also, it’s a bad idea for him to wear a suit, because he’d look like Lurch from the Addams Family.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 23, 2023 9:51 AM |
Fetterman might feel better if he dressed better. I know it sounds silly, but professional attire, like exercise and good nutrition, can give depressed people a boost. It's not a cure, but it helps.
Fetterman pisses me off because he perpetuates all the worst cliches about mentally ill people. Try harder, fuckhead!

I hope Senator Fetterman gets another from his therapist stating that suits and ties and formal clothes are triggering. Turn this into an ADA pissing contest. Then Senator Fetterman can get an Emotional Support Llama for his Senate floor votes.

R17 - we heard you the first time 6 hours ago @ R10.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 23, 2023 11:32 AM |
Something tells me Fetterman has no fucks to give. He looks down and says “Fuck it, I’ll wear what I want, more room for the boys.”
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 23, 2023 11:45 AM |
I bet he has a gigantic cock.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 23, 2023 11:47 AM |
I heard today that Fetterman is unable to even dress himself due to the adverse effects of his stroke. He cannot dress himself and therefore cannot button his clothing. Schumer lowered the bar to keep control in the Senate and this guy hasn't the wherewithal to be a Senator. It's disgraceful.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 23, 2023 11:56 AM |
So is attempting to murder Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi (among others), R21, but people like you seem to put not wearing a suit and tie on the same level. Why is that?
"Conservatives at least are traditionalist who want to *conserve* the America we have known and loved."
Conservatives are the ones who want to establish Trump as a permanent dictator and abolish the U.S. Constitution. Is that the America we have known and loved, or is that just a right wing wet dream of yours.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 23, 2023 12:32 PM |
R21, you think Dianne Feinstein can dress herself? She can't even stand up. But she doesn't wear a $7.99 polyester robe and fuzzy pink slippers from Walmart. Someone dresses her and she's wheeled into the chamber in reasonably appropriate attire. There have been plenty of severely disabled, even quadriplegic, members of Congress and all of them showed up dressed appropriately.
If Fetterman is more disabled than Feinstein is right now, perhaps this isn't the job for him.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 23, 2023 12:51 PM |
R9. Conservatives definitely love America and its traditions. That’s why they want to destroy our democratic traditions and favor a president who derides our military.
Spot-on, deeply reasoned, and original analysis.

r18, I have found the power of a repeated post, but they were different.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 23, 2023 2:20 PM |
R14 do any black Senators or liberal black Representatives dress like Fetterman? No, they do not. So what the fuck are you even talking about?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 23, 2023 2:52 PM |
R26, I eagerly look forward to the day when black Congresspeople will wear dashikis and full Afrocentric garb, gay Congresspeople will sport assless chaps (or taffeta gowns in the case of Miss Lindz), and white supremacists will feel free to don jackboots and a black peaked hat with Totenkopf emblem.
And, as mentioned earlier, huge sponsorship logos would be a nice touch as well.

in today's climate, you are standing on the wrong hill
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 23, 2023 3:39 PM |
I vote to make fleece hoodies and gym shorts the official ethnic garb of America. It’s about time, and the Europeans can’t mock American tourists for how we dress anymore because it would be a hate crime.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 23, 2023 8:10 PM |
Nancy Pelosi has beaten them to the African garb.

F&F R29 for posting a Murdoch link.

Yay another thread on this 🥹

R30, if only to see the VPL of our favorite Congressmen.
The WSJ inadvertently published a pic of Kevin McCarthy sporting decent VPL once and I have NEVER been able to find it since.

[quote]I heard today that Fetterman is unable to even dress himself due to the adverse effects of his stroke. He cannot dress himself and therefore cannot button his clothing
Then Schumer can relax the dress code for Fetterman, but not everyone else. If Fetterman can wear shorts, then he can wear slacks. If he can wear a hoodie, he can wear a polo shirt with a blazer. And if he can wear sneakers, he can wear loafers or shoes that don't require tying laces.
Sneakers, basketball shorts and a hoodie are NOT appropriate and should not be allowed--not even for Fetterman.
