It’s been a few weeks and I haven’t once seen the Golden Girls playing during the morning on Hallmark.
Has Hallmark removed the Golden Girls from the morning schedule?

The answer is yes.

They died.

They air it at night for hours. They just took it off their morning schedule.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 23, 2023 8:35 PM |
That sucks. When I have some downtime late morning, I now put on Roseanne… at least when they show the good years. When they get like season nine, it becomes entirely unwatchable.
(Unpopular observation: the talented Laurie Metcalf devolves at the show goes along. I was watching season seven and she’s already kind of unrecognizable, her performance much broader than in the better days.)

Agree about Metcalf but the whole show was going downhill starting around season 7 (whenever Dan and Roseanne had another baby and fake Becky and Mark moved back in to the house.)

CMT also does three-hour blocks of it. Check your local schedule for times.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 23, 2023 9:06 PM |
Isn’t it also aired on TV Land on weekends?

Sad last days of a retired Eldergay who doesn't get his daily fix of five old ladies?
What will you do now that there are HOURS of nothing else on TV?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 23, 2023 9:12 PM |
The series is on HULU. You can watch 24/7 if you want.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 23, 2023 9:13 PM |
You can get ready to say goodbye to "The Golden Girls" entirely, although temporarily, on Hallmark. "Countdown to Christmas" starts in October, at which point there will be nothing but holiday movies 24/7 until after New Year's Day.

Sometimes a series disappears from one channel and pops up on another. Murder She Wrote stopped being shown Cozy and started on the Start tv channel. Eps are of a significantly upgraded visual quality with good color. Not quite hi def as I can't see fine detail in actor's clothing fabric or pattern therein.

Since someone brought up Roseanne, the show really hit its peak when Tom Arnold was running things (seasons 4-7, I think).
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 24, 2023 1:29 AM |
I don’t think Tom was the reason. They had really talented writers like whatsername who created Gilmore Girls.

If you're able to tell us which basic cable-type station picked up "Murder, She Wrote" and which one dropped it, you probably should accept that your life is near an end.

Something Paladino.

Where can I watch the Golden Girls from beginning to end? I've never seen it in the actual order it aired.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 24, 2023 1:18 PM |
Rep 15: The fact that you incorrectly assume these are basic cable when they are both broadcast channels means your brain is only functioning at the autonomic level. I have to go call Candace Bergen again and tell her that I was wrong about Mortimer Snerd is still being alive. Rep 15, you are proof he is being cloned!

This may sound weird but there is something about having episodes selected for you.
With streaming, I find I’m always going back to certain faves.
When I happen upon an ep in progress on cable, especially ones that aren’t my faves, I will often rediscover fun bits that I haven’t seen in a while.

Hulu has TGG entirely. Sometimes when I am having a shitty uneventful night I'll just watch it on my laptop and binge some. Some episodes I've never seen before.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 24, 2023 8:58 PM |
You can buy the whole series on DVD for $35 on Amazon.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 24, 2023 9:06 PM |
I'm sure you know the entire series backwards and forward by now - why don’t you simply act episodes out while standing in front of a mirror? The laugh track alone will be sensational.

I fall asleep to GG on Hallmark and/or CMT almost nightly.

R23: Time to move into the old fogeys' home, if you're not there already.

You mean Shady Pines, R24?

I downloaded it illegally the other week for future viewing pleasure. I had a thread on how to do it via VPN

Not illegally, just naughtily!

by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 24, 2023 10:53 PM |
R28 do you have a wank before you put them on?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 24, 2023 11:20 PM |
R28: He probably can't find it or the remote in his folds of fat.
