I would appreciate DL's professional or amateur stylists weighing in on this recent form of sartorial fuckery.
it's stupid, move on.

The crotch here looks convex. Very weird stance.

Only if the next look is a scarf tied tightly around the chicken neck.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 18, 2023 2:43 AM |
This has been around for decades. Calm down.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 18, 2023 2:52 AM |
I fucking hate it, especially with sweaters — it looks so self-consciously try-hard.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 18, 2023 2:58 AM |
They're girls. Who cares?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 18, 2023 3:03 AM |
Guys do this all the time. I feel it's kind of pretentious because more often than not, it's to show off some designer belt they spent 1,000 on.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 18, 2023 3:23 AM |
i thought we'd move on from the intentional "unintentional half-tucked" look.
idgaf, i never did it/used it myself unless it happened accidentally. And then when i noticed it, i'd pull it out to be completely untucked. Fuck tucked.

It's called the French Tuck.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 18, 2023 3:33 AM |
It's called douchey.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 18, 2023 4:40 AM |
Now that's a meaty tuck.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 18, 2023 5:36 AM |
It makes certain shirts look neat instead of frumpy. I'm a fan of the French tuck, always have been.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 18, 2023 6:28 AM |
Half tucking does not make a shirt look neat R12. It looks half assed.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 18, 2023 6:42 AM |
I saw a woman who wore her McDonald's uniform like that. She called it the 'Fryer Tuck'
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 18, 2023 11:33 AM |
Mother tuckers.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 18, 2023 11:38 AM |
I’ll leave the French out of this.
Americans do this because we’re too fat to be comfortable tucking in the entire lower shirt or sweater.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 18, 2023 11:39 AM |
I’m not going to be IGNORED, shirt!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 18, 2023 11:53 AM |
Like any fashion trend, it might look good on about 10% of the population… those who people who are so ridiculously good looking they can wear anything (or nothing at all) and they will always look good.
Then again, given how many women leave the house thinking undergarments are acceptable as outergarmemts, I’m all for any trend that increases coverage!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 18, 2023 12:06 PM |
This is hardly a recent trend.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 18, 2023 12:11 PM |
“Sartorial Fuckery” is my new favorite expression. Thank you OP!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 18, 2023 12:14 PM |
I love to watch zaftig women wear capri length pants.
They think they're so fashion forward when they display their lower leg tattoos. Cankles in view are an extra hoot!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 18, 2023 12:26 PM |
I thought a French Tuck was something else.
Dirty mind, I guess
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 18, 2023 1:59 PM |
I will never french tuck again after reading these comments.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 18, 2023 3:43 PM |
R23 Were you confusing it with the "Trench Fuck?"
Not unknown during WW1. It could get awfully boring down there.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 18, 2023 6:17 PM |
When I see men sporting a French tuck I always think, You're trying to make me look at your crotch, aren't you?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 18, 2023 6:24 PM |
French tucking is for French drag queens.
