I was going to watch it, but it's a gay story directed by a tranny, so I'm taking a pass. Funny how they can put their lady dicks all over gay stories, but god forbid anyone else touch a trans story other than a tranny and it's LITERAL MURDER!

I was about to watch, looked it up because I'd never heard of the director, then came on here to see if anyone had seen it and if there was a thread because I wanted to discuss what I'd found out.

I watched it. Nothing memorable. I'm guessing the book was better.

Where is it showing? Is it streaming? I never heard of it.

Yeah, I watched it and can't remember a single thing about it.

R6 I think it's streaming on Amazon Prime. Can't remember where I watched it. It was not as good as all the hype around it.

The boy k was excellent, but I can see how it might translate to a slightly more queer After-School Special. It’s not about the plot.

Hey, has anyone read the book? I'm just reading it now even though it's technically Young Adult. Enjoying it so far.

It’s a lovely book. The film looks awful so, I haven’t watched it.

R11 did you read the sequel book too? Reading the first novel now and it's making me nostalgic and sad for my own time as a lonely gay kid. Haha

I remember it being sweet and poignant and nothing else.
