He looks great!

Mount me, Mount!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | September 12, 2023 2:18 PM |
Hell yes, in spite of the fact that he blocked me from his Twitter for some unknown reason.

I really wanted to like Star Trek: SNW more than I do, but alas. I think he makes a great Capt. Pike, I just don't enjoy the writing.

R3, maybe it was the unsolicited hole pics you kept sending? 😉

I'm really happy they brought back what Mount is calling "the planet of the week" episodic format, but I can't agree with Sylvia that the writing isn't up to par. (If you want to discuss poor writing, let's talk about [italic]Discovery[/italic] where they fall for every meme and can't help themselves from beating every dead horse they come across... and killing a few more along the way.) For example, in [italic]Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow[/italic] it would have been easy for them to go there with the whole time-travelling/[italic]Into the Mirror Darkly[/italic] canard, but instead the episode is expositive developing the relationship between La'an and Kirk and really explains who La'an is as a person vis-a-vis a member of an infamous family. And I love that they just can't help themselves from breaking the Temporal Prime Directive and telling each other about the alternate timelines; they might as well have put flashing warnings on bridge monitors (and would have in one of the lesser series).
And then there's the relationship between Spock and Chapel so beautifully and heartbreakingly done through the season leading to Spock's moment of realization in [italic]Subspace Rapsody's[/italic] singing "I'm the Ex". And speaking of the musical episode, if this doesn't win an Emmy, the Emmys are meaningless.
[italic]Star Trek[/italic] had a rough couple of decades between the end of [italic]Voyager[/italic] and [italic]Picard[/italic] but they seem to have finally gotten it together. Fingers crossed for this series, [italic]Lower Decks[/italic] and the possible spin-off of Seven of Nine as captain!

I remember him from an early episode of Sex and the City and he was cute but basic looking. He certainly has improved with age. Yummmmmmmmmmm
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 12, 2023 5:03 PM |
He's actually a distant cousin of mine. Southern boys are the best.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 12, 2023 5:06 PM |
His father, AAM II, named his first son AAM III, and this this son AAM IV, which is just over the top.
Anson was married to his Vietnamese wife at age 44 which has always meant closeted gay to some here.

He’s MAGA and voted for Trump in 2016.
He hated Obama.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 12, 2023 5:35 PM |
I would rim him deep....
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 12, 2023 5:41 PM |
He didn't vote for Trump and isn't MAGA - don't know about the Obama part but I recall him saying he wrote in a name for 2016. So stupid but not THAT stupid.

Link please, R10.

I agree 100% with r4.
SNW is fine and compared to Disco is brilliant. But, it's fine, but I don't imagine myself rewatching episodes like I did with any of the other shows.
Mount is hot. Strange that he didn't make any impression on me until he played Pike, but the poofy hair...it's like an alien of the week that just keeps growing and growing and growing.

He's totally ANTI Trum and all things MAGA. Total liberal per his Twitter account.
He was hot in a twink-ish way as Britney's male lead in CROSSROADS, but didn't become scorching until he starred in the critically-acclaimed western series HELL ON WHEELS.

He looks better older - like Clive Owen. Unfortunately, there is a very short window.
Great body. Love his hair, long or short.

He’s hot, but dumb as a box of rocks.

I became aware of both Anson and Penn Badgley in the 2004 serial drama The Mountain.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 12, 2023 7:23 PM |
Well, I am now!

I've only seen him in an episode of SVU where he played a preacher caught up in the the murder of a gay escort, but he was hot. And yes, he can mount me.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 12, 2023 8:12 PM |
R22, Mount was on an episode of the mothership Law & Order, not an Olibeeea SVU episode.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 12, 2023 9:05 PM |
My bad r23. It was Tim Daly as a preacher on SVU who got caught up in the murder of a gay escort. Mount was on original L&O as a preacher who got caught up in the murder of a gay actor.

Looks like my first serious bf.

Strikingly handsome. Strange name. Handsome Mount?

Capt Julia Child with Mrs Robinson's hair.

Ran into wifey. Arrogant. Snotty.

Hell on Wheels was such a great show - at least for the first two seasons. And he was fantastic in it.
Yes, he's hot as hell.

Anson Mount played Jesus in the original production of CORPUS CHRISTI (in a cast that included Michael C. Hall and Josh Lucas). More recently, he played another gay role in Robert O'Hara's dreadful MANKIND Off-Broadway.

First time I saw him was in the episode of Sex and the City when the ladies rented a house at the Hamptons. He was the young guy Charlotte hooked up with (while lying about her age) and he gave her the crabs
Good times.
