Agreed R9. I live in a country where all school children wear uniforms to school and it solves a multitude of issues. There's no downside and the kids can concentrate on learning instead of whatever this is.

I suppose the downside for compulsory uniforms in the US would be the long and boring screeching about how children's personal freedoms are being curtailed and how they would be forced to do something against their will or some such crap.
