My favourite take on Burning Man Festival so far 🤣🤣🤣

I have a friend who's devoted to burning man, and he's fiftyish professional who barely drinks and doesn't use drugs., and who built a folding hut out of scrap to sleep in, instead of renting an RV or glamping.

I wonder if he'll still be as devoted to the festival, after this dumpster fire?

I read in the New York Times that Diplo and Chris Rock walked five miles in the mud to get out, and I fucking lost it. Just the mental picture of that is hilarious. I did not have that on my 2023 bingo card this year, but here we are.

I think a lot of these stories are bullshit. Watched the live feed for burning man and people weren't slogging around in mud for days. There were heavy vehicles driving on the sand etc.

Who cares about the mud. Where are the pictures of hot naked guys with big dicks?

It'd be a better rant if it didn't single out white people. They're hardly the majority at Burning Man.

I am friends with this straight couple who have gone several times and have tried to get me to go with them. I can’t imagine why they think I would EVER do that. I don’t even like being outside in my own backyard for more than an hour or so.

They showed footage on the news yesterday of Chris Rock and Diplo walking through the mud, then later catching a ride on the back of a truck with some random strangers trying to get out.

God I hate these pseudo-hippies.

I must admit I find it amusingly ironic that they are all a victim of the same cosmic vibe that they gather to celibrate. Its a little like the original Woodstock. A weekend of sex, drugs, peace, understanding and fucking MUD. At least they won't run out of lubricant.

It might have been more enjoyable had the guy in OP's video not been performing. He sounds as big, or bigger of a douche as the people he's allegedly, spontaneously ranting about. i.e., looking for a little social media fame. Yeah, it's a douche fest. If you don't wanna go, don't go. Why feign outrage over it when you have nothing to do with it?

Watching that video at r14 makes me realize that most motherfuckers CANNOT DRIVE!!!

I thought it was just here, but apparently, NOBODY ANYWHERE knows how to drive in the rain, snow or mud.

R4 It is not bullshit. The playa turned into a mudhole and thousands of people couldn't get out because they blocked off the roads and exits. That stuff turns to heavy, thick mud after it rains but after a week or so of dryness hardens back up into concrete. I've seen filthy mud covered RVs and trucks all over Reno. Last year they had a dust storm and couldn't get out for 10 hours and had to shit in buckets in their vehicles.

Why anyone would want to do this is beyond me. I enjoy camping, but not when there are no services/running water anywhere and tens of thousands of people.

^ And I live in Reno. But we like the Burners because they come the week before and after Burning Man, stay in the casinos and spend money that boosts our economy.
