New tapes reveal Prince Charles didn’t want Harry!

Sad. And then you wonder why he has those damn daddy issues.

Perez HIlton? Really? Now talk about a blast from the past. How the fuck is Mario doing these days?

by Anonymousreply 1September 1, 2023 11:59 PM

This might be news for Perez but Diana was putting that story out before she died - it appeared in the. Orion book for one. Hardly news.

by Anonymousreply 2September 2, 2023 12:02 AM

^^^ “Morton” book

by Anonymousreply 3September 2, 2023 12:03 AM

This is exceptionally old news. Everyone already knew that Charles wanted a girl for his second child--that was reported years ago. He was also unhappy Harry was born with red hair, since it's a Spencer inherited trait, not a Windsor-Mountbatten one.

Perez needs some better and newer scoop (so does the OP).

by Anonymousreply 4September 2, 2023 12:04 AM

“Mountbatten-Windsor”, R4

by Anonymousreply 5September 2, 2023 12:19 AM

I never realized the King and I had so much in common...

by Anonymousreply 6September 2, 2023 12:25 AM

My Aunt told my cousin that she wished she'd gotten an abortion. My cousin was 16 at the time and had been bullied terribly by her older brothers. She already had some issues, but that was one of the cruelest, most vicious things I have ever seen a mother say. 15 years later my aunt had a massive stroke and that daughter cared for her until she died. My cousin died of breast cancer when she was 48. She was always kind to me and I still miss her. Parents can be horrible and you think it doesn't matter but it does.

by Anonymousreply 7September 2, 2023 1:16 AM

OP, it's like Trump and Barron.

by Anonymousreply 8September 2, 2023 1:27 AM

Maybe Charles was thinking “you’re pregnant??!! But we haven’t had sex in over a year! Oh lord please don’t let this kid be a ginger!”

by Anonymousreply 9September 2, 2023 1:37 AM

[quote] “At Harry’s christening Charles went up to mummy [Frances Shand Kydd] and said: ‘We’re so disappointed, we wanted a girl’

That's hardly Charles going "she should have thrown herself down the stairs a few more times and saved us the trouble of this ginger prick" most parents have a gender preference. Also hasn't this been out there for years? I swear there's been a thread on it before.

by Anonymousreply 10September 2, 2023 1:44 AM

I kind of doubt this story. Diana was not a reliable narrator. Charles may have said something general about how it would be nice to have a girl and Diana twisted it into another example of how horrific Charles was to her.

by Anonymousreply 11September 2, 2023 2:02 AM

“YOU SHOULD'VE BEEN ON A KNITTING NEEDLE!”

by Anonymousreply 12September 2, 2023 2:48 AM

"Abort it!" my evil father shouted, his face red and eyes bulging. My beautiful, sainted mother, tears streaming down her face protested "But Charles he's just been born!"

by Anonymousreply 13September 2, 2023 2:54 AM

Diana didn't want a girl.

She would have knocked any daughter into the sea. Princess Died was an envious bitch.

by Anonymousreply 14September 2, 2023 2:56 AM

In the end, doesn’t most of the world wish something different came out of Diana’s second pregnancy than what actually did. Who knew Charles was so prescient.

by Anonymousreply 15September 2, 2023 2:57 AM

A daughter would have spent her life in Diana's shadow,

by Anonymousreply 16September 2, 2023 2:58 AM

CHUCK IT DOWN THE PAN!

by Anonymousreply 17September 2, 2023 3:23 AM

Harry never blames Diana for anything, but why would any mother sell this story to someone to be broadcast to the whole world?

William I tried to knock you out of my womb. Harry, daddy didn’t want you.

by Anonymousreply 18September 2, 2023 3:24 AM

"Rip it from me! Let me be free!"

by Anonymousreply 19September 2, 2023 5:32 AM

When people grow up with nothing truly at stake in their life, they have to invent things that will pass for stakes.

by Anonymousreply 20September 2, 2023 5:42 AM

It would be hell to be part of that family. Diana, should have kept that part to herself. The whole family remind of something similar to Rosemary's Baby.

by Anonymousreply 21September 2, 2023 5:58 AM

It is now weird to imagine had Harry been a girl. Princess Harriet? i guess there's no precedent for that. They probably would have just named her Elizabeth .

by Anonymousreply 22September 2, 2023 6:29 AM

R20 so true. I agree with R14 and R16. It seems like Diana had no filter. R18, you're right, but when I think about it, Diana died when he was 12. So his memories of her are from childhood and it is very difficult for a lot of people who are left with only childhood memories, to find anything to criticize in their mother, especially when she is revered worldwide. He wouldn't want to hear anything negative about her. Now that he is older, he can perhaps look at her in a more balanced way.

by Anonymousreply 23September 2, 2023 1:44 PM

Diana was diagnosed with BPD. One of the worst, most treatment resistant mental illnesses. Explains a hell of a lot.

r24, that's a good piece. That pretty much accords with what we still think of her nearly a quarter of a century later.

by Anonymousreply 25September 2, 2023 2:56 PM

[quote]When people grow up with nothing truly at stake in their life, they have to invent things that will pass for stakes.

So much this.

Reminds me of the trailer for the Harry and Meghan mockumentary on Netflix. In it, Meghan is saying, "When the stakes are THIS HIGH, shouldn't we be telling our story ourselves?" And I'm thinking "what stakes? What high stakes?"

by Anonymousreply 26September 2, 2023 3:00 PM

There is footage of Charles doting on Harry from babyhood up to adulthood anyway. Diana threw Harry under the bus when she made this public. Does he not see how hurtful and tacky that was of her?

by Anonymousreply 27September 2, 2023 3:00 PM

Charles didn't want Harry? Neither did I, really.

by Anonymousreply 28September 2, 2023 3:05 PM

Diana's mother told Charles he should be grateful to have a kid who was normal? Charles should have replied, "Wait and see, Frances. Wait and see."

by Anonymousreply 29September 2, 2023 3:35 PM

^^To which her mother could have replied, "You're right--he may turn out to be just like you."

by Anonymousreply 30September 2, 2023 4:17 PM

We still don’t want him either

by Anonymousreply 31September 2, 2023 5:03 PM

So Di was a liar too.

by Anonymousreply 32September 2, 2023 5:08 PM

This reminds me of how when I was very young my mom used to tell me about how much my dad denied me being his kid when I was first born and then finally coming around and doting on me until my younger brother was born. She said after that he became cold and indifferent toward me and as much as I wanted her to be wrong he pretty much proved her right and he didn't seem to care that much about me.

by Anonymousreply 33September 2, 2023 5:17 PM

How much was Diana actually in Harry's life for her last few years? I don't know how accurate it is but I got the feeling she seems to have spent a fair amount of time out of the county after the separation.

by Anonymousreply 34September 2, 2023 5:23 PM

I mean, the boys were going to boarding school. Diana was chasing after men left and right. They spent their holidays at Balmoral with their dad and the Queen. How often did Harry even see his mother towards the end?

I think he was mad at her. when she died Remember the story about when she callled the boys at Balmoral from Paris? And Harry either refused to go to the phone, or he said hello but cut it super short because he was playing with his cousins?

Yeah. I think he feels tremendous guilt over that last poignant phone call. And also anger at her absence. So much pain and resentment and guilt that he subsequently could never integrate or get closure on... because she died.

Perez is an amateur when it comes to reporting on the BRF and anyone adjacent.

Anyone can see that Diana revealing she threw herself down the stairs when pregnant with William and that Charles had wanted a daughter for a second child speaks to her character - and not in a good way.

by Anonymousreply 36September 3, 2023 3:42 AM

Why are people linking to Perez, anyway? Has he finally stopped filming himself sobbing? What are the clips of him crying supposed to achieve?

by Anonymousreply 37September 3, 2023 11:40 PM

The feeling was mutual.

by Anonymousreply 40September 12, 2023 12:52 AM

He WAS loved and wanted. Harry has an oppositional outlook and is a liar, and will never be happy. You deserve your cunt wufe, Haxbo
