Blind Item!- Michael Fassbender’s violent past toward women is finally catching mainstream attention

“ The full frontal actor must be thrilled that his new movie is being released during the strike and he can't go promote it. Somehow, it is only now the mainstream press is learning about his violent past towards women and probably would have asked him about it. ”

Maybe this comment could be off-topic, but I don't believe this guy hasn't been with men before.

by Anonymousreply 2September 1, 2023 4:55 AM

Old news, no?

by Anonymousreply 3September 1, 2023 4:56 AM

This doesn’t surprise me. There was always something about Michael’s demeanor and energy that just seems dark.

by Anonymousreply 4September 1, 2023 4:56 AM

He has dark energy so this is no surprise.

I remember when she spoke out in 2010 with photos and legal filings etc. yet the story died fast and never really hit mainstream media. Very few heard about it and then you just stopped hearing about it. Rumor is that Weinstein helped his friend Fassbender keep that story from making big headlines.

A few years ago after Weinstein went down Fassbender suddenly decided to take a long break along with Alicia Vikander, one of Harvey’s girls allegedly.

by Anonymousreply 5September 1, 2023 5:01 AM

Fassbender doesn’t have Weinstein to protect him anymore or help him get big roles despite his projects outside of XMen all flopping. The same way J Law doesn’t have Weinstein to get her all those good roles and push her as the new Meryl. Once he went down their careers did too.

by Anonymousreply 6September 1, 2023 5:03 AM

Haven't heard of these accusations before, but I'm not surprised. Always got the wife beater vibe from him, comes through in his acting as well.

by Anonymousreply 7September 1, 2023 5:06 AM

R7 yes because Weinstein helped him get the accusations killed and kept quiet so it wouldn’t hurt his rising career (at the time, 2010). Now Weinstein is locked up with no power so everything is suddenly “resurfacing”.

by Anonymousreply 8September 1, 2023 5:09 AM

I never understood how people didn’t notice that Fassbender decided to take a long break around the same time Weinstein went down. He decided to go away into hiding because out of sight, out of mind. He knew the truth about him would eventually come to light after Weinstein went down.

Rage!

Unless there's a massive scandal, talk of bad behavior will NOT kill his career.

What kills careers is scandals that destroy carefully crafted images, and Fassbender's image is that of someone dark and on the edge of violence. He's played enough villains and antiheroes that he can get away with a certain amount of bad behavior, but there's a limit.

by Anonymousreply 11September 1, 2023 5:39 AM

R11 domestic violence would harm a career. Yes.

by Anonymousreply 12September 1, 2023 5:41 AM

Meh, an artist's personal life matters not one whit to his art. I just don't care.

by Anonymousreply 13September 1, 2023 6:13 AM

He's been settled in domestic bliss with Viklander for some time now, toting around their kid, so this seems like a big nothing. His latest movie also seems like a big nothing. He used to be so interesting to watch, like he could elevate even mediocre material, but now he just looks like he's going through the motions for paycheck so he can go back to racing

This is ancient news.

Thirteen years is half a generation ago.

If #metoo didn't take him out, it's not going to just because enty needs more clicks and has no real stories to push.

Pretty much. As long as this man has had a notable career, charges and accusations, and whiffs of violent conduct towards women have littered his Datalounge biography. And he's an inveterate drunk. What could it all mean in the long run as far as insurability?

by Anonymousreply 16September 1, 2023 9:27 AM

He could slap me across with his big old willy

by Anonymousreply 17September 1, 2023 12:19 PM

R13 not how it works when you’re a public figure. Not shocking you are speaking without knowledge.

by Anonymousreply 18September 1, 2023 11:53 PM

I wonder why David Fincher would support such a terrible person. I suppose that's what rich straight men do.

by Anonymousreply 19October 26, 2023 11:27 PM

I’d still fuck him.
