Maulface Alert: 11yo Boy attacked by Aunt’s Therapy Dog

An 11-year-old boy was attacked by his aunt’s therapy dog inside her downtown Manhattan apartment Tuesday afternoon, according to cops and the victim’s family.

The boy was left seriously injured with wounds to his face, eye, head and arm after the American Bully pit bull mix, named Aries, launched at him around 2:50 p.m. at the Smith Houses, law enforcement sources and police said.

I hope those pussies kill the damn dog.

by Anonymousreply 1August 30, 2023 2:43 AM

Is he a rescue dog?

by Anonymousreply 2August 30, 2023 2:48 AM

Cue the pitbull apologists in 3, 2, 1 ....

by Anonymousreply 3August 30, 2023 3:05 AM

Only trash have pits.

by Anonymousreply 4August 30, 2023 3:17 AM

W&W for "maulface alert."

by Anonymousreply 5August 30, 2023 3:25 AM

She's distraught because she's without her therapy dog. I wonder if the boy is distraught without his mother to comfort him.

What a nightmare scenario. Lose your mother, move in with your aunt who keeps a freaking pit bull for an emotional support dog, and then be brutally attacked.

More clicks for Murdoch. Great.

by Anonymousreply 7August 30, 2023 6:54 AM

Post a link for a non-paywalled article then, R7.

by Anonymousreply 8August 30, 2023 7:13 AM

And of course she's blaming the kids.

Every. Fucking. Time.

by Anonymousreply 9August 30, 2023 7:17 AM

Stop blaming the dog! My therapy lion is no threat to anybody either.

by Anonymousreply 10August 30, 2023 7:18 AM

The aunt thinks the boys (11yo twins) must have overwhelmed the poor dog. There is even a picture of the cute nanny dog (great for child care). Every family should have one.

I think people that own these dogs should be arrested and jailed when this happens. I know we tend to imprison too many people in this country, but the owners need to be held responsible when they choose to keep dangerous animals like this. Any dog can bite, but not all dogs are as unpredictable as pit bulls nor as capable of causing serious injury.

The Pit Bull lobby is perplexing, like the T lobby they’ve become strangely powerful.

[quote]She's distraught because she's without her therapy dog.

I'm sure she's (rightfully) distraught about the situation, but "therapy dog" and "support dog" are increasingly meaningless terms that are misused to get regular dogs past landlords and business-owners.

[quote]she told reporters outside her apartment

Why was she not at the hospital with the kid?

[quote]“I feel a little distraught to be honest because he’s my dog who supports me emotionally,” she said.

Ah yes, you're the real victim aren't you?

I just saw an advertisement on youtube where you can sign-up, pay a fee, and a doctor will provide you with the documentation to certify your pet is a "support" or "therapy" animal so you can take it on planes and into restaurants and other areas that are normally restricted to pets.

by Anonymousreply 16August 30, 2023 1:23 PM

R5 I did the same thing.

by Anonymousreply 17August 30, 2023 1:44 PM

Put this cunt and her psycho dog in a cell together, for life. Don't let them out. Society would be safer and better off.

by Anonymousreply 18August 30, 2023 2:00 PM

The pit bull apologists are out there, trying to convince us these dogs are misunderstood, and oh, so friendly. "Maulface" is right.

Auntie needs to listen to that old song ‘Thin Line Between Love and Hate’. Poor dog. I hope the damn brats will fully recover with some common sense and compassion about how better to interact with the animal kingdom, because the dog is toast.

by Anonymousreply 20August 30, 2023 4:31 PM

R16- that’s a rip off. You can get your vet and therapist to do that for free.

by Anonymousreply 21August 30, 2023 4:42 PM

[quote]Poor dog.

Seriously?

by Anonymousreply 22August 30, 2023 6:56 PM

R22 Trouble recognizing sarcasm?

by Anonymousreply 23August 30, 2023 7:01 PM

Aries is an odd name for a pit bull, even if they meant the zodiac sign. You couldn’t know the difference in just hearing it, so I would have assumed they named this dog after the god of fucking war.

by Anonymousreply 24August 30, 2023 7:02 PM

r23 I hope so, can never be sure around here though
