"You Know The Rest" is one of my favorite songs. So depressing...

I love the Single Mix of this hit.

I hated that "Voices Carry" song in the 80's because I was a hardcore punk. I considered it a New Wave sellout. And there was epic New Wave. But that band was too top 40.

I listen to it now and I enjoy it. Oh well.

LOVE THEM! Coming Up Close is about as perfect as a song gets. Thus, sadly, too good for radio. I love At the Other End(of the telescope), and the bounciness and shear optimism of Everything's Different Now. JUST LOVE THEM.

Re: Voices Carry, a friend of mine heard it on the radio, and was convinced that the lyrics were "boys are scary".

As a little gayling I remember being very attracted to her sort of abusive mate in the video of Voices Carry.

I’m With Stupid was an excellent solo album.

Her voice is like nails on a blackboard for me, but I can appreciate why people like them.

There’s kind of a sad story about the guy who played the boyfriend. He died of AIDS a couple of years after this came out.

I love Aimee Mann, I think her voice is great and she seems effortlessly cool and genuine/down to earth at the same time.

I loved Til Tuesday. One of my favorites is Believed You Were Lucky. I especially love the refrain that proceeds the chorus.

The character in the video could have been more understanding of the guy’s point of view. She didn’t seem very appreciative of all he gave her. I think I would have just cut the rat tail if my guy hated it.

I mostly prefer Aimee's solo work (at least the earlier stuff....the more recent stuff has been a fucking drag) but only by a smidge. I really liked the second and third TT albums.

Voices Carry is oddly my *least* favorite song of hers or theirs.

Believed You Were Lucky is the best single, Welcome Home their best long player, and Bachelor #2 is in my Desert Island 10, plus she got to wake up under Michael Penn and I didn't, and anyone that inspired a PT Anderson movie has some merit..

I used to have their VHS video collection. It has never been released on any other format, and when I tried to copy it to DVD before selling off my VHS tapes, it didn’t work. There must have been some copy protection on it.

It included a live performance of “Just Like Me,” a song unavailable elsewhere.

Even as a kid watching this video, I thought that rat tails were trashy & no wonder he was annoyed with her and it was almost comical the way he sneered at "her band!"

I like her music & she has a nice voice; kind of surprising she never really seemed to catch on with the Lilith Fair crowd
