Next comes the cane and then the Wheelchair. Question is ....will they be blinged.

by Anonymousreply 6August 28, 2023 2:51 PM

Reductive

by Anonymousreply 7August 28, 2023 2:52 PM

OP, the correct phrase should be:

Elton John we love you get up

by Anonymousreply 8August 28, 2023 2:54 PM

He might need to get a better Honky Chateau after this fall. He's got so much money he surely could!

by Anonymousreply 9August 28, 2023 3:07 PM

Years and years of hard drugs and getting your 🕳️ blown out can leave an eldergay with a sudden drop in heart rate when he stands up.

by Anonymousreply 10August 28, 2023 3:32 PM

The KING of Pop.

by Anonymousreply 11August 28, 2023 3:44 PM

IT'S:

oh Elton we love you get up

by Anonymousreply 12August 28, 2023 3:48 PM

They probably want to make sure he doesn't have a concussion. Elder brains can really rattle around in their given age-related shrinkage.

by Anonymousreply 13August 28, 2023 4:21 PM

David should really go easier when plowing him from behind.

by Anonymousreply 14August 28, 2023 4:26 PM

Did he trip over a rent boy?

by Anonymousreply 15August 28, 2023 4:41 PM

Who will rewrite "Candle in The Wind"?

Hopefully the Bel Ami boys are on the way to provide protein injections

Gone back to drinking?

by Anonymousreply 19August 28, 2023 5:05 PM

Oh my God, no! He needs to recover! Otherwise, Bel Ami whores will have to find a new "benefactor" to introduce them to the yachting circuit at Cannes and Saint Tropez!

every time something like this happens to a famous person I think how lucky they are to be able to afford the very best health care. it is one of the reasons so many famous people live long lives.

by Anonymousreply 21August 28, 2023 5:12 PM

R21 You must be American. In most of Europe even a modest used up old shop bottom gets good health care.

by Anonymousreply 22August 28, 2023 5:23 PM

Do we really love him? He put out some great music in the early 70s and he's been attention-whoring and money-grubbing ever since.

by Anonymousreply 23August 28, 2023 5:27 PM

^^^true

by Anonymousreply 24August 28, 2023 5:32 PM

Yes, R23. We do love him!

From now on, he must make sure his caftans are hemmed appropriately, so that this doesn’t happen again!

Unless you are in the music industry where addiction and mental illness run amuck…see Prince, George Michael, Sinead O’Connor, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, etc.

Who? Rush Limbaugh's wedding singer?

Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!

by Anonymousreply 30August 28, 2023 8:26 PM

Elton John is one of those musicians I've never really "gotten". And his constant feuds with Madonna aren't even entertaining, they are just tiresome.

by Anonymousreply 31August 28, 2023 10:35 PM

I love Elton. Genius.

by Anonymousreply 32August 29, 2023 5:56 AM

Elton is fantastic, a brilliant musician and a great singer. He's also a cunt but I don't actually mind. We don't have to deal with that. I've been playing and loving his music since I was a kid. Still holds up just as well as it did back then. I hope he's feeling better and takes it easy for a while.

by Anonymousreply 33August 29, 2023 7:26 AM

He's 76 years old. I hope this wasn't one of those falls that will lead to sad last days.

by Anonymousreply 34August 29, 2023 7:31 AM

Elton is a great artist but hasn't done anything decent for 20 years, probably since This Train Don't Stop Here Anymore.

In the early 2000s he benefitted from movies using his songs, other artists' cover versions, remixes and collaborations.

I was quite disgusted that he recently dined with Kevin Spacey.

But the big question: who will pay Jan-Michael Gambill for executive tennis coaching now?

[quote]Who will rewrite "Candle in The Wind"?

Do you mean, “Goodbye England’s Rosebud?”

by Anonymousreply 36August 29, 2023 7:45 AM

His music has saved my life more often than I'd like to admit. No one else comes close.

by Anonymousreply 37August 29, 2023 10:36 PM

I sometimes wonder if the Gen Zers who hear the various tired rehashes of his songs that he does to make even MORE money (with Britney, Dua Lipa, etc.) ever notice the lyrics. Even when they're ridiculous, Bernie Taupin's lyrics are about 1000% more interesting than anybody's lyrics today.
