Yep. Wearing a mask over your mouth only will achieve almost nothing in terms of protecting you. If he does have Covid or flu, it would protect the GF better than nothing, though.

Masks are primarily useful at keeping Covid IN. In other words, if the person who has it wears a mask, you are considerably safer than if you are wearing one and they're not. So if he's worried about catching it, he's doing everything wrong.

'Course, he might just be wearing it to disappoint the paps.
