Adults were complaining that the pool was always taken over by kids and people with kids, never allowing the adults to enjoy the pool while there. Bally’s has finally decided to make it an adults only space and ban anyone under 21 from entering the pool area!
Bally’s Atlantic City changes pool access from family friendly to 21+ only

New cruising area.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 9, 2023 9:06 PM |
More places should do this, so sick of every place being a kiddie zone.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 9, 2023 9:08 PM |
Good, people need to keep their dumb fucking kids in a separate space - casinos aren't for kids.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 9, 2023 9:08 PM |
Good. What's next - I'm all for this trend. Kid free restaurants, vacation spots - YES.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 9, 2023 9:12 PM |
I didn't realize that just because I brought two kids into the world I would be solely responsible for raising them, too.
I guess it doesn't take a village after all.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 9, 2023 9:18 PM |
30+ would be even better
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 9, 2023 9:21 PM |
Fantastic. Now let's go for every flight on every airline always.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 9, 2023 9:30 PM |
Kids should be at home with sitters or nannies. If parents can't afford that, kids should stay with relatives. All casino hotel pools should be adult only. Scram kiddies.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 9, 2023 9:40 PM |
No kids allowed. Adults are looking for D.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 9, 2023 10:47 PM |
No r9. Adults are looking to have fun and relax in the company of other adults without annoying kids ruining it.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 9, 2023 10:49 PM |
Children should be neither seen, nor heard
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 9, 2023 10:50 PM |
I can't wait to see what Mrs. Patsy Ramsey, formerly of Boulder, Colorado has to say about this new policy!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 9, 2023 10:53 PM |
Kids shouldn't be at a casino least of all in AC.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 9, 2023 10:55 PM |
R13 exactly. Most of the people there are there to drink and gamble and have fun. Kids should not be there. Those adults probably go there assuming it’s a kids free zone but instead it isn’t. I would get upset too
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 9, 2023 11:04 PM |
Bally's is a disgusting hotel. It is for the poors.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 9, 2023 11:11 PM |
I’m looking forward to the upset mommies & daddies.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 9, 2023 11:12 PM |
Oh...I was thinking of the one in Vegas. Never been to Bally's Atlantic City.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 9, 2023 11:15 PM |
Should I delete my booking.com app?
"As long as they have child care?"
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 9, 2023 11:44 PM |
Yeah!!!!!!! Fetus Free pool parties!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 10, 2023 12:02 AM |
Has Mrs. Patsy Ramsey, formerly of Boulder, CO weighed in on this policy change?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 10, 2023 12:07 AM |
Good why are people bringing their kids to a damn casino?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 10, 2023 12:14 AM |
Is Atlantic city worth visiting?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 10, 2023 12:19 AM |
No, r22. It's nasty. A few hotels and a lot of slums.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 10, 2023 12:21 AM |
There was a day when every young son and daughter understood their boundaries and expectations. Suddenly, one day it all changed. Things were just never the same.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 10, 2023 12:21 AM |
R22 if you like to gamble, yes. There are very nice parts and great hotels and casinos. All depends where you stay though.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 10, 2023 12:23 AM |
R20 see R12
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 10, 2023 1:01 AM |

I support this and I have five fucking kids (blended). Adults deserve adult spaces, period, end of. Us making *everything* safe for kids is bullshit. And I think it’s healthy for kids to know that they are not welcome in every space — it creates self-awareness and an understanding that there is a pecking order, and they are at the bottom of it. We need more of this, not less.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 10, 2023 7:19 PM |
I’m also Gen X. When I was young, adults did not cater to us — but when they did notice us, they made us feel extraordinarily special. That’s what I’m trying to say. If kids have free-run of everything, then they don’t learn it’s a privilege to be there. That’s part of why kids are such assholes in public spaces, they’ve never been taught that it’s a goddamn privilege not a right to be there. If we limit some of their “freedom” it’s healthy as long as it’s messaged in a way that helps them grow and mature.
Adults get adult spaces.

Eh, as soon as you leave the Boardwalk you are surrounded by some of the worst slums in all of New Jersey r25. Atlantic City is a shit hole
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 10, 2023 7:36 PM |
I understand that the pool is a separate space, but the last time I was in Vegas I noticed people and their crotchfruit running around the casino. There used to be strict rules and security would've escorted them out. Now they're just allowed to run rampant. I guess the casinos need the cash, even if it's mommy putting $20 in a slot machine while little Jayden and Kayleigh throw a tantrum.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 10, 2023 7:50 PM |
I haven't been to Vegas in a decade. But I seem to remember the casinos catering to the "family with kids" crowd. I once went with a colleague who didn't drink or gamble. It was a trade show, but in our off hours we would ride the roller coasters. He would occasionally join me at the tables.
Point being, at that time Vegas was capitalizing on the crotchfruit crowd.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 10, 2023 8:13 PM |
WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF CHILDREN????!
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 10, 2023 8:22 PM |
An Obesity-Free Pool would be nice.

[quote]Eh, as soon as you leave the Boardwalk you are surrounded by some of the worst slums in all of New Jersey
I've been in AC a few times for work-related conferences and I never had a problem with it because I never left the Boardwalk, which is several miles long.
Plus there's the beach and the ocean.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 10, 2023 9:14 PM |
R35 exactly. Everything you could need is right there.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 10, 2023 9:16 PM |
Families with kids are good business for hotel with pools, but there really should be separate spaces - especially for a casino hotel. Either separate spaces within the hotel if there's room, or in an entirely different hotel that markets itself to families for that purpose - like those ones with the extensive water parks.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 10, 2023 9:27 PM |
Parents don’t need to bring kids to casino hotels.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 10, 2023 9:42 PM |
R32 I was meaning inside the actual casino space. Sure the crotchfruit are allowed elsewhere and encouraged with game rooms/rides/etc, I was just surprised that minors were allowed to loiter in the casino. I think the casinos used to be fined by the gaming boards for allowing that, but maybe it's not enforced anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 10, 2023 9:46 PM |
AC used to be a happening gay travel destination with a lot bars. Now there are none. Such is life, I guess.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 11, 2023 12:04 AM |
I went to Atlantic City for the first time last weekend. I knew it was going to be a dump, but WOW, what a shithole. Crack heads, gang bangers , homeless beggars, decrepit buildings…..plus it’s not safe at all.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 11, 2023 1:07 AM |
Donald Trump and his casinos will turn this town around!!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 11, 2023 3:11 AM |
Is it safe in the immediate vicinity of the casinos, R41?
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 11, 2023 4:19 AM |
Oh dear, now all the frosted straight-haired, Sophia Loren-sunglassed, white fingernailed, fluorescent sandals-wearing overweight and perpetually bathing suited frau moms — and their silent (if they know what’s good for them…) husband breeders will act and be so triggered and angry.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 11, 2023 4:38 AM |
This will protect the children from homosexual grooming, and trafficking.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 11, 2023 4:42 AM |
R41 I went there recently and had zero issues. You must be broke and stay in the shitty part.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 11, 2023 9:08 PM |
I read a really good book that took place in Atlantic City
