TCM but I admit to falling into many of the movies and interstitials.

I usually put on The Perry Mason channel on Pluto when I go to bed.

Any of those ‘secrets of the Bermuda triangle’ or ‘Nazi super weapons’ or ‘ancient aliens’. Etc. all goofy shows.

For years it was CNN, but since they can’t break up with Trump, I’ve been turning to game shows.

TCM unless I'm reading because, even if it's just on as background noise, I often find myself watching bits and pieces. So if reading or resting my eyes, I'll turn on the Light Classical channel on the Music Choice channels.

used to be Forensic Files. If i could find American Justice on repeat, I'd love that. Now it's usually Dateline.

France 24 in French (they also have an English version). Deutsche Welle 24 news in English. Sometimes DW in German. Ari Melber (but not his guest hosts), Pivot podcast. Every free months I refresh my podcast list because the hosts start to annoy me so no longer function as white noise.

America's Test Kitchen on Freevee. It's not all complete noise - I do learn cooking tips, but there's something about watching people make food & genuinely enjoy it that's just sort of comforting & calming.

My mind is operating at such levels that even my white noise is trilingual.

I don't turn the TV on unless I'm going to watch something specific. White noise-wise, I have my radio tuned to the local classical station at night. It helps me sleep. I turn it off when I wake up.

Pluto Free Streaming TV seems to exist just to provide "white noise TV"!

When I want to relax, or have some background noise while I do something more interesting, I put on something like the BBC Food channel or "MST3K".

I don't understand why several people are saying MST3K. You kind of have to be actively watching that to get the jokes.

Catfish: the TV Show as well. They episodes are identically structured so they're easy to fall asleep to.

r38, I had to go look up Air Disasters narrator's voice: Bill Ratner. He sounds somewhat reminiscent of Bill Curtis, who narrated American Justice.

I'm the weirdo that used to love going to sleep to Forensic Files and the dulcet tones and careful enunciation of the late, great Peter Thomas.

The Office on Comedy Central. I've seen it so often it's just background noise now.

R12 I agree. Forensic Files is so weirdly calming. Peter Thomas is one of the best narrators I've ever heard which is one reason I'm not a fan of FF2.

TCM as long as it’s a black and white. If not, Perry Mason or The Fugitive or an old movie on Pluto. Somehow, color doesn’t have the white noise effect b-and-w does—I’m sure there’s some neurophysiological explanation.

Golden Girls on Hallmark Channel and CMT helps me drift off to sleep at night. I learned NOT to drift off to sleep with ID channel or Oxygen Channel unless I want to have nightmares.

CNN. They just repeat the same stories over and over. It's almost hypnotic. And when I wake up in the morning, John Berman is there to welcome me (sigh).

Pluto used to have a channel featuring the trips of trains from the perspective of a front-mounted camera. So three or four hours at a time of video with lovely scenery and white-noise train sounds. I slept and napped to it all the time and miss it very much. I know there are YouTube videos of similar trips, but it's not the same.

Years ago I used to feel the same way about Ina Garten on Barefoot Contessa and As Time Goes By.
