Presidential weddings
Here is a whole mess of photographs of presidents' wedding ceremonies, plus weddings of their children (and in the case of JFK, his brother RFK). It is amazing to me how many of the First Ladies actually were attractive (or at least tolerable looking) on their wedding days... despite what came later. You would never have known Bess Truman, Mamie Eisenhower, and Lady Bird Johnson would grow up to be such beasties in middle age and old age.
Unsurprisingly, Jackie Kennedy is the best-looking of the brides, and has by far the best gown. (Joe Kennedy got good value what he paid for.) Ethel Kennedy, who always had a face that would stop clocks, also has a very attractive wedding gown that shows she at least had a good figure. Poor Maureen Reagan (at the very end of the photos) has the most hideous gown, although Susan Ford's veil is pretty memorably awful... it looks like someone draped a particularly ugly doily over her head.

Jackie didn't like her wedding dress; because it was a meringue, she felt it drew attention to her small bust and made her look like a lampshade. She wanted to wear a slimline dress, but her in-laws insisted on that one.
The Obamas look so sweet together.
It pains me to say it, but Ivanka's wedding dress is surprisingly tasteful. Melania's, however, is ridiculous - a 60-lb wedding dress? That just about sums up the pointless decadence of the Trump family.

Reagan looks harried; Nancy wants to leave, pronto. She hates it when Ronnie’s children distract him, yet she tolerates this photo op. It helps Ronnie’s political career. Also, it softens her image as a “supportive and loving” stepmother. Yet, Jane Wyman was THERE. We KNOW how Nancy felt about HER!

Julie Nixon is by far the least attractive bride. And that's really saying something when Ethel Skakel Kennedy is in the mix.

What is this trash publication? That is not a photo of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette on their wedding day. It’s models or actors recreating the photo which was actually at night. And Camp David was named after Ike’s grandson, not his middle name. Sheesh.

Yeah, that didn't look like JFK Jr. & his wife.
Ronald & Nancy Reagan definitely looked like they were having a 2nd marriage.
Babs Bush looked totally different, when young.
The Obamas look pretty much the same, now, as they did back then.
