Emily Blunt is getting her first Oscar nomination for “Oppenheimer”

She’s never been nominated despite Oscar buzz for a few performances, but I think she may get in this year.

She’s on many critics lists but many of them also feel she may be the one who gets iced out if other performances stand out in the films to come later this year, and many think Florence Pugh has a better shot than Blunt. However, Blunt is phenomenal as the sorta emotionally unhinged wife of Oppenheimer. Her interrogation scene was phenomenal.

Cillian Murphy not winning would shock me. He gives a powerful performance. Robert Downey Jr. is winning supporting actor.

Cooper will probably never win an Oscar

by Anonymousreply 2July 30, 2023 2:12 AM

I found this to be her best performance since The Devil Wears Prada

by Anonymousreply 3July 30, 2023 4:03 AM

I don't feel like she had all that much to do. Character had no real arc, has only one big scene that seemed a bit quick and is merely window dressing drinks and asking him to fight. I don't think it's worth a nomination Miss Flo Pew has the more interesting character but she is barely in it. Nice titties though.

by Anonymousreply 4July 30, 2023 4:08 AM

R4 please. She was wonderful. People like you can’t use the lame LIE “she had nothing to do” when we have BSA winners like Judi Dench in Shakespeare and JLC just this year.

by Anonymousreply 5July 30, 2023 4:10 AM

R4 you copied and pasted that comment. I saw that same exact comment earlier word for word on either twitter or Reddit.

by Anonymousreply 6July 30, 2023 4:11 AM

^I am not on either Twitter or Reddit. Nice try.

by Anonymousreply 7July 30, 2023 4:12 AM

I just wrote that now. Please screen shot the word for word please.

by Anonymousreply 8July 30, 2023 4:13 AM

Emily Blunt was terrific and was the stand out in every scene she was in. Her constant dramatics later in the film while home throughout his trial are superb, and too short. You wanna see more of her.

Jamie Lee Curtis won this year for doing nothing. I agree with r5 that after JLC won we can no longer use that as an argument.

by Anonymousreply 9July 30, 2023 4:18 AM

I think it's entirely possible that Oppenheimer wins Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, and at least one Best Supporting.

by Anonymousreply 10July 30, 2023 4:27 AM

R10 no one is Best Actress. Emily Blunt is supporting. Cillian Murphy is the only lead

by Anonymousreply 11July 30, 2023 4:31 AM

Blunt is just so unlikable. Poor thing.

by Anonymousreply 12July 30, 2023 4:31 AM

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Jamie Lee Curtis for Best Supporting Actress in

THE HAUNTED MANSION

(My daughter is TRANS! I would be DEAD if fentanyl was around when I was young!)

by Anonymousreply 13July 30, 2023 4:34 AM

R10 you didn’t watch the film if you thought she was Lead. She doesn’t show up until like 30-40 minutes into the movie, and then her scenes are scattered. Cillian Murphy is the lead and title character. Everyone else is supporting. Same with Margot Robbie in Barbie.

R12 I agree. I never liked her in interviews etc. or most movies but I liked her in Devil Wears Prada and this. Her cold demeanor worked beautifully here.

by Anonymousreply 14July 30, 2023 4:36 AM

[quote] I don't feel like she had all that much to do.

None of the women did. It’s a Nolan movie.

But I was more impressed with Blunt than Pugh (and I love Pugh). Maybe it’s because she had more lines.

by Anonymousreply 15July 30, 2023 4:38 AM

You're spot on about Devil Wears Prada R14. She was perfect in that role. Perfect casting. She's an excellent actress but she's just very cold and unlikable unfortunately.

by Anonymousreply 16July 30, 2023 4:39 AM

Pugh was fine but overrated. Her nipples are too big for her Tits also.

Blunt was wonderful in her limited screen time

R15 Nolan knows his audience. His audiences are over 70% male.

by Anonymousreply 17July 30, 2023 4:46 AM

I'm both delighted and disgusted that so many sweet fools are only just now learning about Robert Oppenheimer and his work.

It's like when kids first learned about the Titanic from that movie. Or when people discussed Black women at NASA because of that movie. Or when people learned about the banana-crammer who won World War II with computers, because of that movie.

Can't any of you turds crack a book in your life? You need glitzy Hollywood blockbusters to teach you that interesting shit happened in the past?

And now you're all seeing it alongside that fucking BARBIE movie, as some sort of mental and cultural self-satire. Soothe your minds about history, science, and the morality of war with a pink fairytale about a plastic bitch and her corporate-approved message of loving whoever you are!

by Anonymousreply 18July 30, 2023 5:41 AM

I enjoyed Blunt as much as anybody in PRADA. She was the secret sauce in the mix. Just perfect.

But she's been disappointing me steadily since. The Mary Poppins sequel (remember all that hype back in the day?) was a turning point for me. It's not a good film, and while it's not all Blunt's fault, she really failed to deliver on charm in that one. Had it gone differently, it could have launched her to A+ status.

by Anonymousreply 19July 30, 2023 5:53 AM

Yes this and Prada are the only times I’ve liked her. She does cold and brittle very well. Much better as a supporting player than a lead.

by Anonymousreply 20July 30, 2023 6:55 AM

[quote] [R15] Nolan knows his audience. His audiences are over 70% male.

Yes and how did they get that way?

by Anonymousreply 21July 30, 2023 7:00 AM

Whatever “it” is, Emily Blunt doesn’t have it.

by Anonymousreply 22July 30, 2023 7:07 AM

The best Christopher Nolan female character was in Inception, and now she's a man too.

by Anonymousreply 23July 30, 2023 7:27 AM

Yes she was too cold and unlikable for the role of Mary Poppins R19.

OP, I called Cillian as the winner as soon as I read last year about the casting of "Oppenheimer." I hope we're right!

by Anonymousreply 27July 30, 2023 8:12 AM

Neither Blunt nor RDJ will win for this. Blunt is unlikable and RDJ is Oscar-proof.

Cillian is a possibility, but he's even less likable than Blunt (not a knock against him as a person - but he comes off as weird in interviews).

by Anonymousreply 28July 30, 2023 8:15 AM

R1, Or ME in "Wonka"! Or "Dune: 2"!!

Yoo-hoo! Over here! 🙋

by Anonymousreply 29July 30, 2023 8:17 AM

R18, that rabid badger living up your asshole - does it pay rent or is it just there for the weekend?

by Anonymousreply 30July 30, 2023 8:17 AM

Flo got her tits out for this, I think she'll be favoured over Stone.

The interrogation scene was ridiculous, wasn't she basically just correcting his grammar or something? I loved her in The English, which no one seems to have watched, but her Krasinski connection bothers me, can't stand that guy.

by Anonymousreply 31July 30, 2023 9:01 AM

[quote]Cillian is a possibility, but he's even less likable than Blunt (not a knock against him as a person - but he comes off as weird in interviews).

He's doing that "Very Serious actor who feels like he's above press junkets" thing, same as that twat from The Bear, except he's too old and not accomplished enough for that sort of attitude.

by Anonymousreply 32July 30, 2023 9:03 AM

I can't stand that routine.

Disengage your head from your ass, please. You made a fucking movie, not the actual bomb.

by Anonymousreply 33July 30, 2023 9:16 AM

mary poppins? she is a joke, surely u jest....

by Anonymousreply 34July 30, 2023 9:40 AM

R32 Put press junkets truly are awful, pointless, and played out. I don't blame actors for not wanting to do them. At the very least they should be limited to a few large press conferences; there's no reason for every shitty little online self-proclaimed news outlet to have their individual chance to ask the actors the exact same half-dozen questions as the other 200 interviewers before them.

by Anonymousreply 35July 30, 2023 12:22 PM

SHE DESERVES NOTHING, SHE IS PATHETIC.

by Anonymousreply 36July 30, 2023 12:25 PM

I thought Cillian, Robert Downey, JR. and Emily were outstanding. But I have to ask. Who is the competition? Too often the Best Supporting category seems to be what I call the "gold watch award." Someone who has been around for years and it's tie they "get something." Not always, but often. Hopefully Blunt will get the nomination and the win, but I'm curious to know who she'd be up against. I'll bet you anything a couple of Native American actresses get nominated for Flower Moon. Not sure what else is out there.

by Anonymousreply 37July 30, 2023 12:37 PM

R37, possibly two women from The Color Purple, Julianne Moore for May December, and barred on the trailer Da'Vine Joy Randolph in The Holdovers

by Anonymousreply 38July 30, 2023 2:32 PM

I can not stand Emily Blunt. She looks like she just smelled something bad.

by Anonymousreply 39July 30, 2023 2:35 PM

Viola Davis for "Air."

by Anonymousreply 40July 30, 2023 2:47 PM

Dear God she’ll be even more insufferable! Help me! Stage an intervention!

by Anonymousreply 41July 30, 2023 4:38 PM

I loved the scenes in which she drank, yelled at her husband, and ignored her shrieking brats.

by Anonymousreply 42July 30, 2023 5:00 PM

R28 RDJ is winning.

by Anonymousreply 43July 30, 2023 5:40 PM

RDJ is so good. By the end of the film I said “the Oscar is his”.

However, Oppenheimer is a film that has soooo many good performances in it. Every single performance is great, even someone like Josh Hartnett, who I never thought was much of an actor as much as a teen heartthrob. He’s very likable in the film though. Florence Pugh has maybe 10 minutes screentime max yet she’s a large presence you feel throughout the film. She was great. Blunt was wonderful as the unstable and always drinking wife of Oppenheimer.

by Anonymousreply 44July 30, 2023 11:57 PM

I realized halfway through the film that he was Josh Hartnett.

by Anonymousreply 45July 31, 2023 12:24 AM

by Anonymousreply 46July 31, 2023 12:32 AM

R45 I was surprised to see him in such a big film. He’s been MIA forever. Good for him.

I also didn’t know Rami Malek was in this. When he appears on screen later in the movie I was surprised

by Anonymousreply 47July 31, 2023 12:57 AM

RDJ stole the last 40 minutes of Oppenheimer. I see him winning. Murphy, too.

If they gave an Oscar for best tits, FloPugh would win.

by Anonymousreply 48July 31, 2023 1:15 AM

Just saw "Oppenheimer" and liked it (but not *quite* as much as I thought I would)--it's definitely an Oscar-worthy film and Cillian is fantastic. RDJ was my *least* favorite part of the film--such ham acting, blech. I thought the film spent too much time on the political hearings, at the expense of the science and the scientists.

I thought Emily Blunt did well, given her limited time onscreen. If the film had been more character-driven around the people and personalities of Los Alamos, she could have had more latitude to play Kitty O as the off-her-rocker drunk that she was IRL.

by Anonymousreply 49July 31, 2023 1:36 AM

I thought her characters was HORRIBLY written. Nolan gave the character one look: Icy stare. With one action: Drunk. And one emotion: Anger. That was it.

And we never really knew why! Nolan gave poor Emily nothing to do with this character. It was all so frustrating.

Then she gets one scene to actually do something and Emily killed it! Why didn't he give her more to fucking do??

So I do think Emily was amazing in one that scene and could have been a true tour de force performance. But it simply wasn't on screen. Through not fault of Emily.

R50 because she was a drunk in real life. And most people don’t know why. The movie isn’t about Kitty O and Robert O’s home life. It’s about the building of the atomic bomb

by Anonymousreply 52July 31, 2023 2:54 AM

I've never cared for her at all.

by Anonymousreply 53July 31, 2023 2:58 AM

R48 and steals the show and runs away with it. He’s phenomenal. Most of his scenes are with Alden Ehrenreich, who was also phenomenal and not getting enough credit for his terrific work in this. However, I am not shocked by that because Hollywood blamed him for Solo flopping so badly and threw him under the bus, pretty much ruining his rising career. Nice to see Nolan cast him in such a big role in a blockbuster.

by Anonymousreply 54July 31, 2023 2:59 AM

R49 what you said about RDJ is how I feel about Matt Damon in the film. Sorry but he was the weakest link in a film filled with top tier performances from its actors. He hammed it up in some scenes and it really was a bit much.

by Anonymousreply 55July 31, 2023 3:01 AM

R54 Alden Ehrenreich was great in Solo, which is an underrated film all around. Solid acting and great visuals plus some of the funniest dialogue in a Star Wars film.

I hope he gets a career boost from this.

by Anonymousreply 56July 31, 2023 3:04 AM

Alden was great in Solo. He’s a charismatic young actor but Solo was doomed from the start and Disney ignore it. Star Wars fans rejected that film from the minute it was announced and refused to watch anyone but Ford as Solo. Star Wars fanatics go hard and aren’t willing to accept anyone but the OG actors in those roles, but Hollywood thought “oh it’s SW, they will go see it anyway”. Nope. It flopped bad. And then they threw him under the bus and blamed him for its failing.

by Anonymousreply 57July 31, 2023 3:15 AM

About Solo-

“Solo: A Star Wars Story grossed $213.8 million in the United States and Canada, and $179.4 million in other territories, for a total worldwide gross of $393.2 million. With an official production budget of $271 million, it was reported that the film needed to gross at least $500 million worldwide to break even.”

So it couldn’t even break even. It lose the studio a lot of money. And he was being pushed as a new young leading man and this derailed is rising star. Hopefully Oppenheimer will open doors for him and he won’t be subjected to bad movies or shows anymore

by Anonymousreply 58July 31, 2023 3:19 AM

Thing is, I loved Solo. I thought it filled out the Star Wars universe nicely and did something no other science fiction film has - it presented a Fascist culture as run by people who hated it, were bored by it, were incompetent at it and only succeeded because money and inertia were joined at the hip.

by Anonymousreply 59July 31, 2023 3:27 AM

Why is she stealing Rooney Mara ‘s career?

by Anonymousreply 60July 31, 2023 3:30 AM

Blunt hit it big before Mara

by Anonymousreply 61July 31, 2023 3:34 AM

Bullshit R52. She's a supporting character. Either give her something to do other than looking despondent and drinking or don't include her in the movie. There were plenty of scenes with her on camera doing nothing but looking forlorn and throwing shit. Why waste those moments? It was frustrating because we all know how good Blunt can be.

The Commie girlfriend, on the other hand, was complex and interesting and had a point of view. And I believe she had less screen time than Blunt, but her character made one helluva of an impression.

by Anonymousreply 62July 31, 2023 3:34 AM

Apologies for derailing the thread!

by Anonymousreply 63July 31, 2023 3:34 AM

R62 everything you just said is absolute nonsense. Don’t include her in the movie because the film doesn’t take a deep dive into her alcoholism? No. She’s a supporting character in a film about the building of an atomic bomb. She was the inventors wife. Of course she will be included.

You aren’t getting a deep dive into anyone’s background. It’s a focused story, not a fucking mini-series drama.

by Anonymousreply 64July 31, 2023 3:37 AM

Cillian and RDJ are getting Oscars, they would have to pull an Armie Hammer between now and the ceremony to lose frontrunner status.

Emily Blunt will get nominated, but for her to win the Supporting Actress category would have to really flatline. It’d be extremely unlikely that 3/4 acting Oscars would go to actors from the same film two years in a row (and it had only happened twice before last year, with Streetcar Named Desire and Network).

I expect both her and Pugh will get Supporting Noms. Downey Jr. will own his category but I wouldn’t be surprised if Matt Damon also gets in playing against type as General Groves as he is very well liked in Hollywood. Super super longshot- Tom Conti as Albert Einstein. (Conti is already a Best Actor nominee).

The one thing to take into consideration is how the awards season will be affected by the strike, since we are seeing right now films being pushed into next year due to the PR embargo by SAG. Venice, Telluride and Toronto are in September and that’s around the corner. Could we potentially see the traditional fall prestige rollout collapse?

by Anonymousreply 65July 31, 2023 3:44 AM

RDJ will not win. He may get nominated, but he will not win.

He is too weird.

No one has forgiven him for Marvel.

Or Dr. Doolittle.

by Anonymousreply 66July 31, 2023 3:47 AM

You do realize many people like Tony Stark, right?

by Anonymousreply 67July 31, 2023 3:48 AM

RDJ is well liked by his peers.

by Anonymousreply 68July 31, 2023 3:49 AM

I don't get it.

I saw it.

I thought it was incoherent, boring, pretentious, ugly, badly acted and badly directed, same as all of Nolan's films.

Not faulting the cast, BTW- some awesome actors involved. But Nolan manages to get dud performances out of everybody. It's a talent, of a sort.

by Anonymousreply 69July 31, 2023 3:50 AM

Well obviously you are limited.

by Anonymousreply 72July 31, 2023 4:09 AM

Emily is at the age where this may help her to get more suffering mom roles. She’s never going to be a star as a lead.

by Anonymousreply 73July 31, 2023 4:16 AM

R72, no need, I have a copy of Last Year at Marienbad, probably the last film ever made worth watching twice.

Modern film culture is entirely garbage.

by Anonymousreply 74July 31, 2023 4:17 AM

ROFL at someone who thinks name checking Last Year at Marienbad makes him a film snob, like he’s a college freshman taking his first film course.

If you had name checked Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles, I may have taken you seriously, but Last Year at Marienbad? That’s the Citizen Kane of poseur movies.

by Anonymousreply 75July 31, 2023 4:29 AM

R75, the second period French New Wave is all very well. Or Belgian, in your example.

But you know what happens when you get caught up in a wave.

After a while it makes you nauseous.

And I don't give a fuck about a boring frau who is also a whore.

Last Year at Marienbad puts an end to the idea of cinema.

See that and Citizen Kane isn't important either.

by Anonymousreply 76July 31, 2023 4:38 AM

Blunt will certainly be nominated for a Supporting Actress Oscar. "Oppenheimer" will score big with nominations across the board. I thought her portrayal of the complex Kitty Oppenheimer was a slow burning tour-de-force. She has more than enough screen time to make an impression with voters and I do not think her performance had a single moment in which she didn't command her share of the very large IMAX screen.

by Anonymousreply 77July 31, 2023 4:56 AM

I see RDJ getting nominated but not winning. There is a need to award a minority actor and if Murphy wins, RDJ will not.

Not complaining, BTW.

by Anonymousreply 78July 31, 2023 5:01 AM

I could see them giving RDJ the Oscar not so much for the part but as an overall career achievement. They like to do that.

by Anonymousreply 79July 31, 2023 5:06 AM

Then he'll get a special Academy Award, probably right before he croaks.

He is not getting it for this.

by Anonymousreply 80July 31, 2023 5:11 AM

Who would have guessed 20 years ago that RDJ would become one of our finest actors?

by Anonymousreply 81July 31, 2023 5:19 AM

R64 it's a three hour movie that has a ton of subplots and time to get to know minor characters.

-We knew all what the Commie's stood for. (Oh, they had nothing to do with the bomb construction, btw)

- We knew what many of the scientists stood for.

- We knew what RDJ's character stood for. Oh, he also had nothing to do with the construction of the bomb. Nothing. Not one thing. So your assessment that we can't know more about Blunt because she wasn't a part of the Trinity team is hogwash.

Hell, the LAST HOUR of the film takes place after the bomb was tested and dropped! So, again, the film was NOT just about the construction of the bomb. Since, you know, one third of the movie took place after the bomb was dropped. There was plenty of time during that hour to show who Blunt's character really was.

So I respectfully disagree with you. Nolan had every opportunity to give Blunt's character more dimension. He just chose not to.

by Anonymousreply 82July 31, 2023 5:20 AM

R81 - you're joking, right?

I mean, on the basis of Less Than Zero he was well on his way.

by Anonymousreply 83July 31, 2023 5:21 AM

You're aware that 20 years ago RDJ had hit rock bottom and was considered a washed up addict?

by Anonymousreply 84July 31, 2023 5:23 AM

R84, you are aware that he already had an Oscar nomination under his belt at that time and was a critic's darling regardless of his personal life?

by Anonymousreply 85July 31, 2023 5:26 AM

RDJ took some chances to work his way back to the top. See his turn in "Fur" a fanciful biopic on Diane Arbus, also starring Nicole Kidman. He was also great in Zodiac. There was also some stinker of a movie with Halle Berry involving a mental institution/mental illness.

I'm not a fan of all his superhero bullshit, but i kind of think of him as playing a version of himself in a way in that role. I like him as an actor.

by Anonymousreply 86July 31, 2023 5:30 AM

For a while he couldn't get insured so no studio would hire him. Everyone expected his next headline would be RDJ dies from an overdose.

by Anonymousreply 87July 31, 2023 5:35 AM

[quote] There is a need to award a minority actor and if Murphy wins, RDJ will not.

Umm

There are four acting categories

They will just award a POC in one of the two actress categories

You are probably one of those people who want nongendered categories right?

by Anonymousreply 88July 31, 2023 10:31 AM

I genuinely love RDJ as an actor. I have never seen any of his super hero movies so i don’t know if that would affect my opinion of him as an actor. However I even loved him in Tropic Thunder so probably not. I’d love to see him win an Oscar.

by Anonymousreply 89July 31, 2023 12:15 PM

He’s the greatest actor who ever lived

by Anonymousreply 90July 31, 2023 2:05 PM

He's great in the superhero movies.

by Anonymousreply 91July 31, 2023 3:05 PM

R78 “no need”??? If the majority of the academy feels he gave the best performance in his category he will win. They don’t base it on what other categories had the best within the same film. Not everyone gets a trophy just because. Stupid uneducated fuck.

by Anonymousreply 92July 31, 2023 6:07 PM

R80 hasn’t even watched the movie. Unless mom gave him money

by Anonymousreply 93July 31, 2023 6:07 PM

R82 what are the subplots?

by Anonymousreply 94July 31, 2023 6:08 PM

Air deserves no awards consideration. It was a made for TV movie on a low budget. The thing is, the dialogue was pretty great and IMO if anyone get consideration it ought to be Bateman and Damon.

by Anonymousreply 95July 31, 2023 11:47 PM

Low budget means you don’t deserve award nominations?

by Anonymousreply 96August 1, 2023 12:30 AM

"Air" was a fun film. Thing is, from seeing the trailers, I think Matt Damon was probably much better in "Air" than in "Oppenheimer." The clip where he's all "most important in the history of the world!" is not well done.

by Anonymousreply 97August 1, 2023 12:34 AM

R97 I agree. I said upthread he was the weak link to me in a film that’s otherwise phenomenal. He was fine for the most part but kinda bad at moments.

by Anonymousreply 98August 1, 2023 12:35 AM

Rooney Mara wants her face back

by Anonymousreply 99August 1, 2023 12:35 AM

I don't think Christopher Nolan did enough with Groves' character. Damon did the best he could. It was kind of a stereotype. Yes, AIR was a fun movie.I like it a lot. But dear God no nomination for Viola.

by Anonymousreply 100August 1, 2023 12:39 AM

AnnE Hathaway in the house @ r36.

Emily Blunt stole The Devil Wears Prada. Meryl even mentioned her in her Golden Globes acceptance speech.

by Anonymousreply 101August 1, 2023 12:44 AM

I loved Emily Blunt in SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN.

by Anonymousreply 102August 1, 2023 1:58 AM

R100 you know nothing about film and it shows.

One doesn’t need the writer and director to give them a lot to do to be good in the role. Damon not being very good in the role has nothing to do with Nolan. That’s on Damon. There are people who have 5 minutes of screentime and stand out with such little screentime, and then there are those who don’t.

by Anonymousreply 103August 1, 2023 2:21 AM

I thought Matt Damon was great as always.

by Anonymousreply 104August 7, 2023 2:05 PM

She has done some great work. From Yung Victoria, to Quiet Place, Prada, even an action movie with Tom Cruise. I really like her. Wasn't she in Into the Woods with Meryl? She can sang too.

by Anonymousreply 105August 7, 2023 2:47 PM

by Anonymousreply 107August 7, 2023 9:50 PM

she is without talent. why john married her perplexes us all...

by Anonymousreply 108August 8, 2023 11:49 AM

She’s far more talented than her husband

by Anonymousreply 109August 8, 2023 6:43 PM

R14, she was perfect in Devil Wears Prada. There really wasn't a bad performance in that film.

by Anonymousreply 110August 9, 2023 3:51 AM

Only thing she will ever win is respect for snagging her hottie hubbie who could do much better.

by Anonymousreply 111August 25, 2023 10:21 AM

Lmao her hubby really isn’t all that

by Anonymousreply 112August 25, 2023 10:27 AM

Blunt & the hubby seem the same in that in spite of early promise, neither have really materialized into what they were hyped up to be, though they both keeping getting roles. To their credit, they're pretty low key & aren't always being papped at farmers market, going to church, or whatever.

Saw the movie a month ago and her performance has really stayed with me. She's great at doing bitter.

by Anonymousreply 114August 25, 2023 2:11 PM

Just a reminder that I predicted this last summer. She is incredible in her brief screentime and stands out in the film.

by Anonymousreply 115January 15, 2024 2:54 AM

We have another week before your prediction comes true, R115. There's no reason to think she'll be snubbed, especially since besides Da'Vine Joy Randolph, most of her competitors in the race have significant weaknesses, but I'd still wait until her name is called before claiming victory.

Penelope Cruz will whip her ass.

by Anonymousreply 117January 15, 2024 3:11 AM

Cruz shouldn’t be nominated. I didn’t like anything in Ferrari but looking at Patrick Dempsey, who looked slutty as a bleach blond.

by Anonymousreply 118January 15, 2024 3:13 AM

R116 yup. It happened.
