Yes, there were always rumors about him being gay (especially because he worked out a lot); no, I never heard about anyone who'd actually been with him.

He had a male "roommate" sometime back in the 90s who was shot in the head in front of the house they shared in a botched robbery attempt. He has the bloody soil from the crime scene in a jar in his home. He said producer Rick Rubin was there the day before in a Rolls Royce and given the neighborhood, he predicted his house would be targeted. He has not been in a relationship since he was in his 20s. He was a guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race a while ago. They did little promos where the guests walked the catwalk and I was surprised by Henry's walk because it was really masculine. He was also a great judge with DL fave Niece Nash.

I saw him nude years ago. It's a very long story that happened about 30 years ago. I'd just finished up fucking around with a guy that was essentially a "roadie" for his show (though this particular one was mostly spoken word) and he came into the suite I was in with his sort-of-roadie. There have been rumors about him being gay for decades. I think they're mostly wishful thinking. He seems asexual. He's very pro-gay so I don't think he's some conflicted closet case.

In case it wasn't clear in my original post there was absolutely nothing sexual about any of what transpired on his part. Without boots or Doc Martens on I'd say he's around 5'6". He was beautiful when I saw him (mid 90s) and even his muscles had muscles. Biceps that, when flexed, were bigger than my head.

I always wondered about the situation with his roommate who was murdered. They profiled that story on Unsolved Mysteries back in the day. Rollins was interviewed and recounted the event in a quasi-poetic way that was kind of pretentious and weird. I could envision them being a couple, but I don't know.

The roommate who died was Joe Cole, son of actor Dennis Cole. He was a roadie for Courtney Love and a number of other punk/rock bands at that time. He and Rollins were actually coming home from a Hole/Smashing Pumpkins concert at the Whisky a Go Go the night the murder took place.

Hole/Smashing Pumpkins is a bad omen.

Dude is WAY TOO COMFORTABLE in his own damn skin to be in the closet about stuff with guys. That being said I think of him as a PRUDE with women too.....I doubt he is a slut or a cheater and had probably been with less than 10 women in his life.

I remember reading an interview with him in the late 90's or early 00's where he was gushing over Madonna which, at the time, was very unusual for a punk rock guy of his profile.

Henry is just a good old fashioned asexual contrarian, a cousin of Bill Maher if you please. I had his standup CD which came out when I was a clerk at Rose Records. He is someone I worshipped in my youth who I now side eye.😒

I used to go see Henry Rollin in college both musically and his spoken word. I was in complete awe of the guy. He's so alpha. I'm not. I'm very in my feelings, have never worked out consistently, and used to be more of a people-pleasure (which Rollins used to warn against). I was in awe of Rollins' swagger and fierceness, coupled with humor, morals, empathy and intelligence. Rare to find all of those things in the same body. He's been a force for good for decades. I love him.

For people who don't know much about him, he was part of a punk group called Black Flag in the early '80s. That is probably his earliest form of widespread fame. Before that, I don't know if many people knew who the hell he was.

I remember reading an interview where he was railing against homophobia, and said he doesn’t get straight guys who don’t like gay guys, since all men have the same common interest, to be with someone who will make us “shoot ropes of jism” or something like that. I don’t remember the exact quote, but I definitely remember the “ropes” part. I would have loved to have worked ropes out of him back then.
