Dave Annable: I'd like a Brothers & Sisters reunion

I always heard this the best drama on network tv or great for a network show back when all the really brilliant dramas started being exclusively on cable. Might check it out OP.

His new series premiered last night, correct? He needs a big hit I imagine. He was my replacement for Andrew Shue - guy next door adorable.

I remember watching the first one or two seasons, which were good. If I recall, one of the main plots in the first season was the discovery of the illegitimate daughter of the recently deceased patriarch, but when it turned out that one of the brothers had great chemistry with her, they retconned it so she wasn't a daughter after all and the two could fuck without guilt.

They better write my character’s script to match my importance.

He had an NBC pilot for fall. Who knows what will happen? I like him. I'm even going to watch the show r2 told us about, not my usual sort of fare.

Millionaire California Beauties with no real problems in their lives, scraping the bottom of the Crate & Barrel to find SOMETHING to fight about each week.

Sally Field is perfect for a soap opera mother. She always looks and sounds like she's just spent the day crying, even when she hasn't.

I loved Brothers & Sisters — and it was a mere soap with lots of over the top nonsense… and some turns that were a bit out of left field.

Kevin's rescuing homeless/jobless Scotty was sweet, but no way in hell would Richard Chamberlain go near Ron Rifkin.

Sally (Nora) always seemed to be in the kitchen, making a salad.

R14 Kevin was always rescuing Scotty. The little mince was always needing legal help because his latest two-bit boss fired him for being too queeny.

And of course, when he got sick of being sexually harassed as a cater-waiter (because that happens all the time, right?), he falls back on that age-old "job" for TV drama housewives: A catering business.

I loved the show. It was so wholesome. Would love a reunion.

Sally had a breakdown in every episode between during the last 15 minutes of the show, it was in her contract

Then she went back to her trailer to get railed by Annable.

How much older were Kitty and Sarah compared with Justin?

R20 When they were doing the casting for the planned flashback episode, it was reported that roles for the 1973 scenes were to include William Walker at 33, Nora Walker at 28 and Holly Harper at 21. The 1986 scenes included Sarah Walker at 20, Kitty Walker at 18, Tommy Walker at 16, Kevin Walker at 14 and a 6-yr old Justin. (They only went forward with the 1986 scenes.)

Can't blame Sally - I'd bounce on Annable's stiff slab too.

He doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed but he sure was hot, especially in the beginning. In some of his early scenes he's just a walking erection/wall of testosterone.

He was the first man in his family to attempt college. He dropped out before his last semester. Scandalizing his family. After Brothers & Sisters success he went back and finished, to please his mom. He's sweet.

Sally Fields has found a place in DL's heart.

Sometimes it seemed that they forgot there was a big age gap between Tommy (and the others) and Justin.

R25 How is there an age gap with Tommy? Nora popped out four children between 1967 and 1971. The only gap was with Justin.

Balty Getty was the miscast one in that group.

But I still would have - "Tommy" was sorta hot in a messy way in the beginning.

I disliked every character in B and S but that was part of its allure.

But, then after the 2nd season the writing lost its zip.

The only likable character in the show was Luke McFarlane’s as the boyfriend of the Matthew Rhys character.

Yes, second season suffered from show runner change as well as the 2007-2008 writers strike.

The family's stupid enormous car crash was the biggest soap opera peril since the Carringtons got caught up in that terrorist shooting at a European wedding.

Who will live? Who will die? Who will care in September?

If they had a reunion show, it would probably be everyone getting back together because someone HAS DIED.

Brothers and Sisters, I remember it use to come on after Desperate Housewives. Good times. After all these years all I remember is the actor that played the lead guy in The Americans saying, I wouldn't touch your liver with a ten foot pole lol.

It’s disturbing hearing Matthew Rhys talk in his real accent.

It was disturbing to see Matthew Rhys as Darcy in that abdominal Murder At Pemberly. The Elizabeth was even worse, ghastly.

In the unaired pilot, gay son Kevin was gay son Bryan and being played by Jonathan LaPaglia and his BDF.

Mom was Betty Buckley.

I would love to see the Betty Buckley pilot someday. I thought they included it on the season 1 DVD set but unless it was an Easter egg I couldn’t find it. You see a bit of her in this promo from the summer before it premiered. I imagine the show would have developed quite differently had she continued in the role

Here's a couple more clips from the pilot that feature LaPaglia as "Bryan" with his son, "Daniel," who's played by future DL fave Tyler Posey. .. Posey would later be cast as Sarah's stepson, "Gabe Whedon."

Matthew Rhys has found is level in Perry Mason. Remind me why we are supposed to hate him?

I had no idea he was in the new Paramount+ show, Operation:Lioness. He’s really hot in it. I like him better now in Silver Daddy mode.

The show itself…despite the awful title, I am kind of into it so far. Zoe Saldana and the girl playing the new recruit are both good. Nicole Kidman is in this, for some reason, looking and acting really bizarre.

I just finished watching every season of The Sally Field Programme. I remember when you guys had a ton of threads about it, but I never read them, because I thought the show looked stupid. But I've been on a binge of watching TV shows that were extremely popular back in the day that I've never seen before, and I just finished this one.

Can any of you folks point me in the direction of the old threads? I googled, but the earliest one was in 2018 -- and you know I am DYING to get the DLs take on this show at the time it was on.

He had the Thing that is absolute kryptonite to me.....a very masculine dudebro vibe but also with that boyish vulnerability underneath.
