Who would you have voted for in the 1977 Emmy race for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series?

I guess op is grifting for a retro MTM opinion vote. Boring.

R1, I don’t know what that means. I love MTM but I also love the others too. Bea Arthur won the Emmy. I voted for Suzanne Pleshette.

Julianne Moore.. Seriously.

Then I would have voted for Mary. Today, Jean Stapleton.

Bea is so great, always. Wonderful TV actor. That said, Valerie is just unbelievably charismatic on TV, too, and brings her own vitality and freshness to the role.

It was obviously rigged. Sada Thompson was the biggest joke that year.

All of them won in different years except for Suzanne.

Pleshette was terrific on The Bob Newhart Show, disappointing to read she never won. The show itself is very underrated and holds up well, I watched it during lockdown having never seen it before. So well done and so mature.

With regards the category, I voted for MTM because I assume it was for the last season of MTM show and she had some great moments. But really I would have to watch each actor's particular season to make a proper decision. All of them are terrific and it would really come down to who seemed the strongest that particular year.

Poor Valerie gets no respect at all.

It's hard to know with old Emmy awards because I do not know the particular episodes they sent in that year.

All of those actresses were wonderful.
