Head cheerleader got in a bad car accident junior year. Her face got all fucked up. She needed plastic surgery. When she finally came back to school she had scars on her face, and her lips were wonky. I remember feeling really sad for her, and doing whatever I could to treat her normally and casually, and just pretend that I didn't see the scars. She had been extraordinarily beautiful. Not sure I handled it right. Adult me would acknowledge what she'd been through and tell her if she ever needed to talk, I am here. Kid me, was like, "Just don't stare at her lips! Act natural!"

This was in a town of 3000 people in the late 80's.

I googled him and he is some IT higher up at a company in California.

Supposedly (this was years before I started) there was a teen couple in the school that were very much in love until she dumped him or something and he decided to commit suicide by jumping of the roof of the school, which he apparently did. This ends with the the punchline that the girl was called "Joy" ...he literally "jumped for Joy". No idea if true.
As for something I know happened, I had a pretty close friend who I had an unofficial falling out with around sophmore year, and a year later she was expelled for stealing and selling the SAT results. It was a pretty big scandal. It was so weird too because she was very much a goodie goodie type and a straight A student.
My english teacher in freshman year was supposedly an alcoholic, there was a janitor that had to be fired for "inapropriate conduct with a student" and we of course had a very butch lesbian gym teacher who supposedly was not let into the locker rooms (I don't ever remember her there, so could be true)

In junior year she was in a car crash with a bunch of boys and killed.
There was a little bit of "poor Shelley," but she wasn't missed at all. The counselors let us know they'd be available to talk if we needed it, but the entire class said, "Nah, we're all good."

The Head of Music was strongly rumoured to be a perve. He segregated his classroom, all girls seated to the right, boys to the left. Girls received much unwanted attention and the boys were totally ignored.
One girl in my year disappeared one day after putting on some weight. She reappeared just over a year later and no-one asked her what had happened.

I went to two different high schools. The first was an all boys Catholic college prep school and nothing scandalous ever happened there to my eye. A few years after I left the school and moved to NYC, I ran into a friend of mine from Sophomore year. I think we were both 21 at the time, so it wasn't too many years after. We were both out, and he told me that there was this group of guys in the school, who got together after classes and had orgies. Everyone he named was a real jock and straight acting (whereas I was definitely in the fag group of my year, the kids who would stand around during gym and talk about what happened last night on Dynasty). I'm not really sure I believed him, but I've always wondered.
When I changed schools in Junior year, I moved to a public school, and I was the worst thing there. I spent the first year going absolutely nuts with freedom because I'd been stuck in Catholic school for so long, where everything was college oriented and there were no electives and we all had very tight leashes. By my Senior year, I was Ferris Bueller. I ran that place. I became somewhat infamous because I was onstage in one of the school productions, fell, broke both my forearms and got up and finished the performance without saying anything, went to the hospital, had them set and was back in the show in casts the next night, so everyone all of a sudden became aware of me when before I was sort of under the radar. After that, for some reason I was very trusted and I took advantage of it every chance I could get. I'd skip school all the time and have an older female friend call and pretend to be my mom. I worked on the newspaper, so i had the power to pull people out of class for a short time for a story. I stole my teacher's pass pad and would sign my friends out of class, then fake a pass to leave campus and we'd go to the movies or the beach. My last two classes of the day I barely attended, but my teachers loved me and let me get away with murder. I actually got busted once using a fake pass and managed to evade any punishment. I never knew public school was so easy to manipulate.
Oh, also in that school, apparently in Senior year, some kid died, I think of a form of cancer, and most of us had no idea. They didn't announce it or offer any sort of grief counseling. I would say the majority of us didn't even know until we saw the tribute page to him published in the yearbook. That made me super sad because I thought he didn't have any friends, but apparently he was somewhat popular, our school just didn't put much stock in mental health I guess.

The most popular kid in the senior class had his parents go out of town, so he had a party. A girl had sex in one of the bedrooms and got badly hurt - they had to call an ambulance. The host got in big trouble with his parents, they decided not to pay for his college. The girl was teased mercilessly ever afterwards. People would say, "Riiiiipppp" under their breath.

R47 the 80s was all about punitive parenting. Very unenlightened time for parenting. Getting grounded, getting disowned. So many latch-key kids. All the mothers were working by then, no one ever talked about feelings. It was also a very clique-sh era. So much pressure to fit in. To prove yourself. To your friends, to your dad, to God.
All about money in the 80s. So much keeping up with the Jones. More important to look good to the neighbors, to the community, to the pastor at church, than to actually ask your kid how they're doing. Get caught drinking? Late for curfew? Having sex? Got a bad grade? The answer was always the same: Ground, shame, scold, invadate, threaten to withold money, love, support, respect.
And god forbid if you were A GAY!!

There were always incidents at my high school. It was the 80s.
Several boys played a Russian Roulette-type game and one was killed.
The male teachers who sponsored the Ski Club were banging female students on the ski trips and plying them with weed and wine.
Some students tried to burn the school down.
A youngish male teacher invited muscular boys to go out on his boat, etc., and then propositioned them. The teacher was well-respected and popular.
Another teacher had a collection of pornographic Keychains he would show to male students. This teacher transferred to another school in the district and was subsequently fired and arrested for an alleged indecency with an underage girl.

I was in HS in the early 70s. The usual teacher/students fucking. No one was busted for it. Senior year, a kid I grew up with from 4th grade murdered a university professor with an axe. Apparently, there was sex and money involved and a rumored third person. I found out by walking by a newsstand and seeing the front page.
This wasn't a huge scandal because not everyone knew the girls well in HS. I went to a small grammar school and each grade only had one class. My class had 30 kids in it and most of us had all grown up together. Freshman year, a girl on the next block had a step-father who worked for a bakery. She and another girl on the next block were fucking the step-father in the truck before school. He knocked them both up at the same time.

The married-with-kids theater teacher was boning, or trying to bone, high school boys in his class. It was the 1980s, so the only thing done about it was for older kids to pull the younger ones aside and warn them not to be alone with Mr. Anselm.
A straight friend of mine mowed lawns on weekends for extra cash. One day after mowing Mr. Anselm's lawn, he went inside to get paid and Mr. Anselm jumped him. Apparently it got quite physical. I only remembered this a couple of months ago, but there was a trans kid in my high school back in the mid '70's. She was a very small girl, very angry whenever I would see her. She was in a younger class than I, plus she was saddled with 'unfortunate' first and last names. She caused a big stir because she wanted to play on the boys basketball team, but she was far too small and slight. If she had any friends I didn't see any evidence of it. I have no idea where she is now, or if she was ever able to transition. Life must have been hell for her.
Also, within the first five years or so of graduation we lost 4 kids that I know about. One suicide, 1 car accident and 2 murders, one was a girl murdered when she tried to break up with her boyfriend, the other pissed off the wrong neighbor.
Oh, and this was a Catholic school. Rumor was that a young nun and a young brother started a relationship, I think that the nun 'kicked the habit', as one says. And a male lay teacher would spend a lot of time with the prettiest senior girl.

Catholic inner-city parish high school, early 1970s:
1, Sophomore male transfers and the Latin/Spanish nun leaves the order. Two years later they marry.
2. Priest counselor is arrested for and convicted of sex with minors.
3. Blonde Associate Pastor is arrested for and convicted of sex with minors. We knew all about it. He had given a friend of mine a ride and the priest asked him if he had red hair on his bum, too.
4. Among the toughs who are snarking at me - I count six - hustle and hook up with gays in the park down from my street, usually on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school and into the evening. They do it for weekend date money for their girlfriends. They don't know how often I've seen them there.
5. Another Associate Pastor is a close friend of a nun, and a platonic romance is enacted daily for us to watch. He leaves the priesthood and she leaves the order.
6. My best friend got caught fucking one of the then-skank girls on the altar of the seminary church during a retreat weekend.
7. The principal was a dyke nun. Her assistant principal was someone she brought with her and she was an older-girlfriend type. The principal nun had a crush on a young nun with long smoky-blonde hair. The assistant principal was jealous and the young nun was abashed.
8. We'd leave the nurse's office window unlocked on Fridays because we could step through it in the evening and have a group session. Straights had dibs but they weren't into group action, and most of them fucked in cars. So the five gay guys in my group would meet there in various groups, with surprise "visitors" at times.
9. ANOTHER priest - the civics teacher - also was arrested for and convicted of sex with minors.
10. Two rough lesbian girls had a fistfight because they both were suitors of the smoky-blonde nun (math teacher).
11. One girl's boyfriend killed her by electrocution.
Honest. Those and more. It was an interesting experience. And I was President of the Student Council!

80's Jesuit all male high school, we had a junior year trip to Rome to see the Vatican. There was about 25 of students and 2 chaperones, one a Jesuit brother and the other was our married male Latin teacher. Great trip I thought. 3 weeks after we got back my mother came home from a PTA type meeting and told me to stay away from Brother X and Teacher Y. They had been accused and admitted to getting some of the boys on our trip drunk and molesting them. Fucked up thing was the three kids all left the school, and the two chaperones didn't really have any consequences other than bad reputation. Even more fucked up, I spent a good few months wondering why no one wanted to get me drunk and suck me off.. Oh the 80's...

We had the usual:
Teachers having very public and dramatic relationships;
A male coach groping girls on one of his teams;
An ex-hippie teacher who would take students to his place after school to smoke pot; and,
A sleazy male teacher arrested for having sex with male minors usually in a janitorial closet at the school;
The incident that really moved the school was when a gay guy died in a car accident after partying at a local gay bar while being driven by another gay guy, his best friend, who was drunk. The dead gay was so sweet and beloved. There was a genuine outpouring of grief for him. The driver was reviled after that. A couple of fag hags were also in the car, but they were unharmed.

[quote]Damn, [R56] that's so sad! Were people crying at the ceremony? Life cut suddenly short, it never get's easier to comprehend.
Well, actually, not really. I mean it was sad, but something even weirder happened. Two days before graduation a board member tried to shoot the school board superintendent who was supposed to be our graduation speaker and he did not attend, so people were talking about that (the school board member tried to shoot him, but they ended up in a wrestling match and the superintendent actually didn’t get shot he wasn’t shot or killed.) And we had no motivational speaker. We got a very short talk about loss and danger from the principal, and they did mention the three and present their diplomas to their parents, but I was actually sitting on stage with the top 10 graduates, and I didn’t actually see what my classmates were doing or if they were crying. Their parents were bawling, very understandably. But these three people were not people that I knew. I had met the guy who was not going to get his diploma because he was the kind of guy that wanted to be everybody’s friend and he was nice, but I didn’t know the two girls that were with him at all. These were not people I was ever in any classes with, and I also had a very unusual high school experience. I started taking college classes in 10th grade and went to school for three hours in the morning and then college classes in the afternoon. And then in my three classes, sometimes they were only three students. And my 10th grade biology class only had three students and two of them got married 20 years after we graduated. I wasn’t one of the two that got married. So I really only knew about 10% of the people I graduated with personally and had literally never spoken to and couldn’t tell you the name of the rest of them because I was hardly ever there and when I was, I was in classes that only had three kids. I’m willing to bet that when I was getting my diploma there were 180 student sitting in chairs whispering to one another “do you know who that guy is? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him.” The only people I knew were a handful of people in my classes, and a handful of people that I knew going to middle school or grade school with. Our school system was divided very strangely geographically, so there were kids that I went to grade school with who went to a different middle school, but then I met them again in high school. So, even though I didn’t move around, it always felt like you were going to a new school with new classmates for the first time. But it was like that for everyone.
Buy my friends weren’t mean, they were sympathetic, but they also didn’t understand or couldn’t quite grasp why it happened in the first place, so, even though they were sympathetic, there really weren’t tears, it was more confusion. We didn’t get our yearbooks until almost a year after we graduated and there was a whole tribute section to the three.
It’s sad to think about. He was a nice guy. And I definitely felt sorry for all of their friends and family.
Lord, I know that sounds like a total EST, but it’s actually true. The school board member really did try to shoot the superintendent. I even tried to find a link but it was 1990 and there’s nothing online to confirm it. If it were an EST, I would’ve started a thread about it.

1980 -1984
1- When I was in 9th grade a male student in 10th grade was gone for 6 months and it turns out he had run away and he was living in the city hustling and doing gay porn.
2 - My friend’s older sister jumped off the roof of the old Arnold Constable building in New Rochelle. At the time people said it was angel dust but it was probably just a rumor because everyone was afraid of angel dust then.
3 - The school psychologist (and mother of a student in my class) found someone hiding in the backseat of her car and he raped her at knifepoint.
4 - A school jock “killed himself” in 11th grade— his mother found him hanging in his closet—and everyone knew it was really autoerotic asphyxiation.
There are more but I’m not concentrating.

I have a friend who is a school psychologist and she’s extremely blunt and sometimes says things that are shocking but then she’ll explain them and you’ll realize she actually makes a lot of sense. And she was telling me about a student at her high school that had been committed like five times for suicide attempts before she finally was successful and she actually did it in her car in the high school parking lot and was found in the morning. And my friend, who has a PhD, said “look, by the time you’re about 25, your brain is fully mature, and if you are so miserable, that suicide is the only thing you will consider because absolutely nothing will help, I don’t have a problem with people choosing to end their own lives. If they are living in such misery, and they cannot get help to get them out of that, letting them stay that way is cruel. And even though a 17-year-old has a brain that still needs to mature, this girl was in institutions five times after trying to kill herself. So I wasn’t surprised when she finally was successful. She could’ve probably made it to 25, but she would still be so unhappy, so miserable, that she was going to do it anyway.”
Like I said. Blunt. And as a school psychologist, of course she did report it every time she spoke to the girl, and the girl would get taken to the hospital, spend 72 hours, maybe a week before they released her. And then she would try it again But I had to agree with her that if somebody tries to kill themselves five times, you can almost guarantee they’re gonna keep on trying until they’re successful. And I think that’s the point she was making.
God, I couldn’t do it she does for a living.

The best I have is the gym teacher who coached football would be very physically involved with practice. He’d be kicking glass, getting muddy, running laps with us. He’d then shower at the same time as us as well.
I never saw him get hard or be particularly pervy, I think he just wanted to be considered ‘one of the team’. Then again, he was probably having sex with some of the players, just not me. Damn it.

I went with a guy who graduated a year ahead of me - he graduated in 1967 and I was set to graduate in 1968. We went to a small Midwestern high school. I don't think many people thought he was gay - but since I was a theatre/band/choir guy I'm sure most at least suspected.
My boyfriend was one of three brothers. He was great at sex but was always a mean drunk.
We were at a party in the fall of 1967 - I had ridden with him there in his nice 1967 Plymouth. He proceeded to get drunk and got mad at me because I was going to get a ride with someone else. It was a pretty bad scene at this girl's house where the party was - he proceeded to announce to everyone that he was fucking me and I was an ungrateful bitch.
He left and I was mortified and hoped to make it up to him the next day. However on the way home, he was speeding and as he came into town, he crashed his car into a tree and was killed.
The rest of my senior year was nothing but recriminations and freeze outs by all of our former friends.....except his younger brother who turned out to be even better at fucking than he was and later spent a couple of seasons in the NFL.

On summer break, one of my teachers of a couple years earlier murdered his wife on the night of their wedding anniversary, strangling her with the rope from their kids' red wagon and leaving her in the garden only to "discover" in the morning. It came as a smaller surprise than many imagined. He was wound tighter than a cheap clock and barely concealed a deep anger, further he seemed every bit a classic closet case.
He blamed blood evidence inside the house on a neighbor's menstruating dog and gave some very peculiar answers to detectives. In jail for murder, he convinced a famous serial killer to say that the teacher's wife was among his many confessed murders. He was convicted in two overturned murder trials and confessed and was convicted in a third trial for manslaughter. In that final trial, he confessed that he had persuaded a famous serial to take the blame, plying him with details to lend credibility. In his time out of prison and awaiting new trials he suckered a church congregation into supporting him.

Her parents were so angry and upset about the stupidity of drunk driving they decided to teach her friends a lesson. At the wake she was laid in her coffin. Attendees were freaking the fuck out because the parents told the people that prepared her body to not do much in order to make it disturbing. The dead girl was before this, a very beautiful looking person. The stitches reattaching her head were highly visible and the corpse looked gruesome. Her school friends were passing out, wailing, screaming, etc as they passed by her coffin. It was an awful thing to do.

Chris M blew his brains out with a shotgun at 17 because he was getting diddled by his father.
Mike B rolled an MG off the road, drunk, at about 98 mph when he was a senior with predictably fatal results.
One of the school bus drivers was a bigamist who had two families in town.
Somebody called in a bomb scare at school one day. Everyone went to Peggy's house and she ended up getting fucked by ten guys. Her nickname was Piggy thereafter.
My high school football coach, who was also a selectman (like a City Councillor in New England) got busted with $50K of coke in the trunk of his car in the school parking lot. He got 5 years.
Both town drunks were fuckups since kindergarten but both had brothers who were cops, one local, the other a state trooper. They never got arrested, ever.
George D, who lived down the street, was a gorgeous kid; black Irish with a great body. Unfortunately, he did way too many drugs his senior year, lost some contact with reality and then found Jesus AND a job working on one of the town's garbage trucks, occasionally stark naked. On hot days when he'd take all his clothes off as he hurled the barrels, he said he was giving witness and praising Jesus and who could argue with that? If you saw him starkers, you'd praise Jesus, too.
There's more, that's just the highlight reel.

As we all stood outside waiting for confirmation that it was a prank and not a fire, I turned to a friend and said “I bet is was my cousin who pulled the alarm.” And sure enough, my cousin came strolling up to us with a huge grin and said he pulled the alarm to get out of a test. 2000 kids in that school and I knew immediately it was my cousin. Driver Ed teacher died in car crash — entirely his fault (drunk, speeding on icy road). The irony of that really. He was a pompous sarcastic asshole. No one gave a shit really and no grief counseling was needed.
Then there was a senior who was a notorious bully and when speeding one night, drunker than fuck, crashed into a tree, dying instantly. No one mourned except his parents and fellow bullies.
Lastly, a junior boy committed suicide, using his dad’s rifle. There was a good-sized hole by his bedroom window where the bullet went through once it passed through his head. Morbid detail. It was haunting to me in the sense that you never can or will know the inner thoughts (and pain) people can be going through when there are no obvious clues. People were truly shocked in my small town.

My friend is the product of a school scandal. Her mom was her dad's student, and her and a friend would hang out at his house and get tipsy, then one day one was knocked up, they married, for a short time.
There was a few HORRIBLE car wrecks in the late 70s, early 80s. Multiple kids packed in cars, drunk drivers on dark, winding roads, one all 6 passengers were killed (my aunt married one of the three surviving brothers- 3 out of 7), another wreck left one survivor but she was a multiple amputee. Shortly after MAD formed and got the drinking age pushed back to 21.
Two people from my class died, one a motorcycle accident another was a car accident that shouldn't have happened bc the now deceased girl didnt have a license.
The most scandalous thing that happened, was with a girl I was friendly with (not the kind of person whose bad side you'd be indifferent to being on. She dropped out due to pregnancy, and by the time we were Juniors she'd helped orchestrate a rape and murder. They didn't get busted for almost a decade bc they started bragging about getting away with murder.

This really wasn’t an “incident” but it makes me laugh every time I think of it.
I grew up in an upscale suburb and had a friend from a very wealthy family. She could always get her hands on good drugs and one weekend threw a cocaine party. She put bowls of it out. I think the movie Scarface had just come out and she wanted to recreate the scene where Pacino put his face in a huge bowl of coke.
She wasn’t a junky, just a wild kid who experimented heavily mainly because drugs were so accessible to her. I liked her a lot. She was fun.
Anyway, her parents found out about the cocaine party and sent her to a very fancy drug rehab facility for teens for 30 days.
When she got out she told us what a blast is was. Kids fucking like crazy and getting drugs from the custodial staff. Had a pool and all types of luxury.
After that, we all tried to scandalize our parents so they would send us there.
Just had our 40th high school reunion. She’s an investment banker and married to a high end art dealer.

Over Christimas break at my very meh high school, one of my classmates (female) was shot and killed at a motel on the seamy side of town. She was very non-descript kind of girl, whom nobody paid very much attention to. It later emerged that she was turning tricks out of the parking lot of one of local dive bars and was killed by one of her johns.
Then in my senior year, one of the cheerleaders attempted suicide over Spring break and it later came out that she had been having a torrid affair with the captain of the women's volleyball squad. The volleyball butch had tried to break it off and the cheerleader took it badly and decided to end it all. The cheerleader was home schooled for the rest of the semester, and everyone acted like the volleyball butch smelled bad and owed us all money.
You can imagine how these rocked this school of 800 students in suburban Florida.

Sometimes I wish I had grown up on a farm in the middle of nowhere because it took me more than 30 years to shed the shitty and materialistic values I had acquired...helped along by the setting and the era. The two people I know who still live there with their own families have changed very little. Still going to the country club and still tolerating their kids drinking. I stopped going to my reunions after the 25th. But I also made some great friends. Three of the six people I mentioned in my yearbook photo caption I text with nearly every day.

R159 I’ll admit that I was a bit miffed to learn, only at my 10 year reunion, that a theater geek had given blow jobs on a regular basis to the water polo captain/backup quarterback(!) [and more?]
On second thought, it didn’t matter, since at that same time ( junior year) I was already an expert at finding the best porn video arcades and cruising West Hollywood for prime adult dick.
On reflection, I got the better benefit of the bargain.

On one of our high school's Model UN conferences during my junior year, my classmate got blackout drunk and collapsed in the hotel elevator with alcohol poisoning. We went to find our teacher to help us, but he was also blackout drunk in his room. Rumor was they may have been drinking together at one point. We finally roused him and he took off down the hotel corridor in his underwear. The paramedics came and took the girl to the hospital and pumped her stomach. Nobody got into any real trouble, but the next year we were not invited back to that hotel.

Our star football player (dumb as a rock, and twice as ugly), was drunk driving on some farm road and had a severe rollover crash. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt, and was basically turned to human jelly. He was on his way to or from a liquor store across the state line to pick up more supplies for a raging party his friends were throwing at one of his dad's vacant properties.
The school descended into a pitiful mass grief that lasted the rest of senior year. It was like the fucking pope died, or some North Korean dictator. Teachers were crying in the hallway for days afterward. They painted his name on the water tower, retired his football number, and sold t-shirts with his photo on them. The photo they chose had him holding four bottled beers and smoking a blunt (possibly at the party the night he died). His rich asshole parents approved all of this. The school had a big ceremony before graduation where the parents doled out his college fund to his surviving idiot friends.
The idiot never said more than two words to me, and was charming but functionally illiterate. He wouldn't have made it two semesters in college, even with his throwing arm.
Almost two decades later, his name is still on the water tower, and there's still an active Facebook group where people can "talk" to his dead ass. Another. Drunk. Driver.

A girl in my high school class was pregnant four times, once in each year. She gave the first three up for adoption. The fourth was a product of an interlude with a science teacher. Nothing was said or done about it. They thought she just enjoyed sex and the baby could have been fathered by anyone. She decided to keep this one.
Fittingly, she was at full-term when she walked across the stage to receive her diploma. At our 25th reunion, she showed off pictures of her grandchildren.

In sixth grade, I was caught staring at a classmate's full bush when we required to shower after gym class. None of the rest of us had any substantial growth down there; he had a fully-grown Chia pet. I was mesmerized.
By the end of the day, everyone at school knew I stared at this guys bush. I was asked if I needed hedge trimmers. If I was magnetically drawn to it. I felt more sorry for the guy I stared out. I doubted he wanted the whole school to know how well-developed his pubic hair was.

I went to a Jesuit boys' school. The Jesuits-in-training at that time were addressed as "Mister". It was 5 or 6 years before my first sexual experiences, but I felt that some of them were probably gay, as far as I knew in that long-ago time. One of them was sort of attractive and somewhat effeminate, and was the faculty member in charge of the yearbook. It was definitely the most beautiful and artistically-laid out yearbook of my high school years. As his faculty picture, this "Mister" had his picture taken in a bathtub that had been placed in a large dug-out piece of earth, like a coffin in a grave . When we arrived back the next school year after our summer vacations, we were told that he had committed suicide over the summer. I've always wondered if he had been planning it all along, and the picture was sort of a prequel.
Two more minor "incidents" got my attention. One was in my freshman year. Our lunch hours were staggered. A gym class let out as we were finishing lunch, and a guy came flying in yelling to the whole assembly, "OMG, 'blank" got a boner in the shower after gym class". The entire rest of the year, I kept my gaze on the shower nozzle during my mandatory shower. The other thing happened during a seminar week between semesters. One of the young priests (very burly and muscular), was late to arrive. When he came in, he said, "Sorry I'm late, I had to break up a circle-jerk in the showers downstairs". Try as I might, I couldn't think of a decent excuse to run downstairs and check it out for myself.

My schools were boring but there were a few suspect things.
First was a rural southern public school. There was a rumor the Spanish teacher was doing some of the students. I don’t think she was. However, by my sophomore year she’d given up on actually teaching anything, so we’d watch movies or write little short stories. This teacher, her young daughter and boyfriend died in a plane crash a few years later.
There was also a student who smelled so bad. Like she was rotten from tits down. She was one big zit from tits up. Her family was very impoverished. She left school early in sophomore year and we later found out she was pregnant with her step-uncle’s baby.
Second high school in rural Massachusetts. Squalid car crash killed one of the bitchiest girls in school and her boyfriend, who was a troublemaker but nice to me. The other kids in the car were hurt pretty bad.
All the popular girls got into a fight before graduation and none of them would speak to each other at the ceremony. Slutzzzzzzzzz.

For R118 - So have you read "Mistress of the Con?" The book about your cheerleader acquaintance?
"Really, the stubble on that chunky female cheerleader should have been the first clue. But instead, notorious Colorado con man Charles Daugherty, who went by 'Cheyen Weatherly' when he posed as a Colorado Springs high-school cutie, would go through many more identities and many more mysterious chapters before his story finally played out, as revealed in Mistress of the Con, a new book on the notorious crook.
The book delves into the fantasy-filled life of Daugherty, who started on his cross-dressing spree in 1984 when, at the age of twenty, he pretended to be an Air Force Academy student and stole a car from a Colorado Springs dealership.
His best-known caper came six years later, when he enrolled at a Colorado Springs high school under the pseudonym Cheyen Weatherly, pretending to be a seventeen-year-old transfer student from Greece. He played the part of a teenage girl so well that he even joined the cheerleading squad; it was only after stubble began to appear on his face that people questioned his identity. Daugherty was later arrested and sentenced to two years' probation, during which time he told then talk-show host Sally Jessy Raphael that he suffered from multiple-personality disorder and had been molested as a child.
But the shenanigans didn't stop there. In 1995, Daugherty re-emerged as Shannon Ireland, the alleged half-sister of supermodel Kathy Ireland. He made the most of this character, creating a 'Dream Team' of fashion mavens who thought they were working for a professional model and photography studio.
Daugherty has had eight known aliases, many of which were linked with celebrities; he also pretended to be Shannon Trump, the niece of Donald Trump.
Westword has written about him numerous times, including Harrison Fletcher's June 8, 2000, cover story, 'The Broad Was a Fraud.'
In 2008, Daugherty pleaded guilty to three counts of felony theft and a felony charge of criminal impersonation. He was sentenced to five years in prison, five years of mandatory parole, ten years' probation and 600 hours of community service. Daugherty served much of his sentence under house arrest and currently lives in Colorado Springs with his father."

I think fucking a HS football coach has been on my bucket list since I was 15, but I’m really glad it never happened because it’s the sort of thing that was a fantasy and I’d hate to think back on it and realize I had sex with a child molester. I’m quickly approaching too old to fuck a HS football coach, so I may make it a mid-years resolution. See if I can check that one off the box before 2024. I don’t mind (would actually prefer) a coach that was 45+ yo.
But I’m already working on one guy and I think he’s worth not fucking things up with by fucking a HS football coach. He might be a keeper and I’ll just have to ask him to pretend to be a HS football coach, but I already know he’ll say no and insist that he’d rather pretend to be a soccer coach, which is NOT on my bucket list. But either way, it won’t be the real thing.

I never met him. It was a fairly large high school (1200 students), he was only there for two weeks, and I wasn’t in his year so we wouldn’t have had classes together.
When he was found out there really were half a dozen news trucks outside and they had to close off the campus to keep the media from bugging random students.
I do remember a few cheerleaders being quite shaken, because no one really knew what his motive was (stalking/rape or just wanted to be a cheerleader). I don’t know that we ever knew.
Just a nutball.

OK here is the background info - Christian religious private school
1. A girl disappeared from class and we were told her dad, mom and her were on vacation. She returned talking about how great, stylish and intelligent that her boyfriend from China was. She made up a narrative that she had lived in China! Eventually we found out that she was in a sexual relationship with another young man that wasn’t in our school, she got pregnant and was forced to have the baby and adopt it out. This was when roe vs wade was still legal 2. A girl was in a sexual relationship with an adult police officer, it was discovered after she was caught stealing lingerie from Victoria Secret in the local mall, she was a doctors daughter and it was hushed up. She later got institutionalized for a year when it was discovered that she was sexually abused by her uncle. 3.The typing teacher was a married man, rather hot, nice and tall, with a bit of a Dick Van Dyke look. There was a female Spanish teacher from Cuba that was also married. The two teachers got fired after being caught having sex on a boat.
My school was interesting

I wonder. A lot. There were 500 in my graduating class, and I find it hard to believe that I was the only gay kid. So I suspect there were others that were having sex and I have no idea why no one asked me. Maybe I wasn't attractive enough. But in the late 60s early 70s I'm not sure attractive was a requirement for sex.
I spent too much time trying to be straight, I guess. And I can't help but believe that at least one of the many boys that taunted me and called me queer and fairy and faggot were gay themselves.

I forgot about the suicides. One guy lulled himself and left a note saying he was stopping the cycle of suicides in his family. His mother and grandmother committed suicide.
Another guy was an asshole to everyone. He started mid-year sophomore year and his sister started junior year the same time. She was immediately popular, but he was just a dick. He could have coasted on her popularity easily. But he was mean to everyone. Even the most uncool kids shitted on him. He ended up eating lunch in the bathroom by himself because no one would let him sit at their table. He killed himself in senior year.

The school wanted her fees (it was a co-ed boarding school) so they basically tolerated it. He was a real creep and very douchey who made my skin crawl. Catholic High School. I can't compare with what I've read here, but...
Star Football Jock knocks up meek unattractive nice girl. Got married. It wasn't love. I don't even know why we thought it was scandalous, other than he was a real asshole and she was really nice (though very unattractive), and we suspected coercion or she had stars in her eyes and couldn't believe Star Football Jock was interested in her so she let him fuck her. This was 1971. I'm guessing she wasn't the only one he was fucking, but those were different times, and it was more unusual for people to be fucking than it is now when everyone in HS is fucking.
History teacher that was a friend and spent a lot of time around my house had an affair after i graduated, with a nun who then left her order, they got married, had a child, and last I heard were still together. All that time I was naively still wanting him to have an affair with ME, while my parents - it turns out - suspected that he was abusing me. I wish. The teacher, a female friend of mine, and I were like the Three Musketeers. Very close, considering he was a teacher and we were students. I think he knew I was gay and in love with him - or lust - because he gave me a Christmas present of a book by what I later learned was a gay author. Years later I also learned that all that time - before the nun and when I was hoping to have sex with him - he and the female part of the group of three had been fucking.
I am appalled that I was so naive and oblivious.
Math teacher, also a friend that we spent time with out of school - these male teachers were young and fresh out of college so the age difference was small - was sleeping with a very good friend of mine - female - in our Senior year. No regrets by either of them; they just moved on.
Gorgeous male religion teacher had an affair with a senior - female - they got married after she graduated and last I heard were still together.
We suspect the Principal - priest - was screwing around with women, but were never sure. He was late 20s and it was odd that someone so young was the Principal. It was a very new Catholic High School, and was very liberal.
Teachers were either nuns from one of two orders that taught, or assumed to be straight young males.
I would have had sex with any of those male teachers, but alas, they were straight and I knew no other gay students when I was in high school.
Truth is, I would have had sex with ANY male that was willing then. Instead I was living the wrong life with girlfriends.
Many regrets.

The worst thing that happened when I was in school wasn’t high school, but my freshman year of college. The dorm I lived in had two different wings, one for men, and one for women, so we all lived in the same building and interacted in the lobby but lived on different sides.
A sophomore, I think, disappeared, and was missing for quite a number of days, and the police had come out and interviewed her roommate and suitemates, including a freshman who I knew well and was in classes with.
One day, another friend asked out of the blue if I wanted a ride to Walmart, and when you’re a freshman without a car, a ride to Walmart is like a golden ticket to Willy Wonka‘s chocolate factory. So we are in the car on the way and she turns to me and says I wanted to get out of there, and I wanted you to come with me because they found her body. And the dorm is about to be swarmed with media and I don’t want to be there for it. I guess our classmate was told in advance, and had told her.
She was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, who was a police officer. And her body was found in his car covered in dirty laundry.
And not to sound insincere, because this was a tragedy, but we did all find out that that rumor that if your college roommate commits suicide or gets murdered, you’re automatically given all A’s in your classes… that’s not true. It was about two weeks before finals and her roommate and suitemates were all offered the opportunity to not finish the semester and have their classes removed from the record and retake them another semester, and the university would cover their tuition and housing. But none of them took them up on that offer. They all just finished the semester because they were so close.
I had never met the woman who was murdered. I didn’t know who she was until she went missing. But obviously, a lot of people I knew did know her and it was a very grim time.

I knew him and his brothers from grammar school, and I had mentioned there was only one class per grade with about 30 kids per grade in our school. The year behind me had two murderers out of the ~30 students. One kid was crazy and was institutionalized. He murdered another resident in the institution. The other guy lived on my block and I knew him from age six. Ended up serving like 38 years. He just got out about three years ago. We're friends on facebook.

He was involved in a murder (at age 24) and I THINK he may have killed someone in prison too, hence the long sentence. Southeastern Wisconsin, early 70s: Some woman proclaimed herself a witch and attracted legions of corn-fed high school boys to her apartment to hang out and drink, do rituals, and fuck. Was discovered our senior year. She was evicted from apartment and probably ridden out of town on a rail, so to speak. Some parents got litigious, since it involved minors. I'm sure lots of hush money got exchanged: the participants cut across all jock/stoner/nerd lines. Rich kids, poor kids. It was quite scandalous for the time.

We had a male student teacher who taught chemistry. He was short, quiet, and very nerdy. His quietness and non-energetic style was really not an ideal candidate to be put in front of a class of male hs students. Well, at the end of the year he left and got a job at a neighboring public hs. A few months later we read that he had been arrested. Apparently, what he had done is, because he really had no friends, he would invite some of his male students over for a pot party. The only catch is that they had to be naked. He didn't molest them, just wanted to see them naked and this was his way of " making friends." I really felt sorry for him and thought, " If he had invited me over when he was here I would have gone and even had sex with him." I was sure he was a virgin. I never found out what the resolution of his case was.

I was 99% sure that two brothers who were 15 months apart in age (the younger one was in my class) were intimate with each other on a regular basis. I was friends with the younger one and hung out with both of them all the time, we lived in the same neighborhood. They were very VERY close, their relationship seemed much more than just "brotherly" to me. They were both hot blonde jocks and I used to think about having a threesome with them when I jerked off.
Unfortunately, I never worked up the nerve to test my theory.

One of the female teachers was cheating on her husband with another male teacher
Another older female teacher was very close with one ofnthe girls, very seemingly inappropriate relationship. She invited her to her cottage/ cabin one weekend. Who knows what happened but everyone was talking about it Monday Morning
I had a teacher who used to wipe her vagina with tissue right infront of the classroom. She hid behind the chalkboard(it was the 80s) but we could all see her legs spread and she dumped the tissue in the trash. Very traumatizing stuff

Three girls in my class got pregnant senior year. At graduation they walked across the stage visibly pregnant to get their diplomas. Little queen that I was, I thought it was so, so trashy.
Two hot jocks had a threesome with a girl and allegedly did things with each other in between fucking her. The image of that gave me jerk off material for a long time.

My history teacher hired three of us boys to work for him at a summer job on the beach. It was my first job, and we were all 15. I learned about serving food to tourists and how to count change and clean, and I ate for free. As the summer wore on, he said progressively more and more lewd things to us, talking about his dick a lot, and asked questions about our dicks. By the end of the summer he asked us to meaaure our dicks in front of him. The other boys did, but I got creeped out and quit. When school started again , I reported him to the principal, who called the teacher into his office and made me repeat the story in front of him. As humiliating and intimidating as it was, I did just that.
Nothing came of it. He didn't lose his job.
A few years later, after I had graduated, I learned that he was eventually fired for molesting a boy in his classroom, where he was caught. I was glad he was finally gone, but I was so angry that it took several incidents for them to finally fire him. All the boys he messed up...
His name was Dick Sweeney. I'm not protecting his name.

My guidance counselor was not only gay, but had a massive Black queen as his partner. It all came out when big Black queen came to school one day and started a domestic dispute over lily-white guidance counselor cheating on him. I marched with said queen in a Gay Pride parade in the late 1970's. He had broken his ankle and was being pushed in his wheelchair by a ferocious bull dyke. Protestors were chanting hate-speech in front of St. Pat's, (this was when the parade started in Central Park and marched down Fifth). Terry got so angry he started screaming "I wish I wasn't in this chair!". Bull Dyke responded, "But you are in the chair, Blanche, ya are".

In the late 60s, one of our (very good looking) male history teachers was compelled to enter the dunk tank at the school festival. He was wearing white pants. When he came back up from the dunk, everyone could see his wasn't wearing underwear. He had a thick cock, egg-shaped balls and a massive bush. He got out of the tank right away.
He needed to attend the following month's school board meeting. He was a fantastic teacher, the parents did not appreciate the school board putting him in an embarrassing situation at the meeting. One parent said he was pressured to go into the tank, and the purpose was to raise money for the school district. What was he to do? The school board could not act.
We students all knew it happened. Some of them went into graphic detail of what they saw. One of our biology teachers pointed out we men all look the same, there are no surprises there. He also said the human body was not sexual in nature.
I was one of his favorite students. I thought about approaching him to let him know I supported him, but I later figured it would not help the situation.
Today, some people would run him out of town if it happened. At least adults were more pragmatic in the 60s.

One of my good friend—great girl but kind of a plain Jane who blossomed in adulthood.
She had a massive crush for years in the most handsome guy in school. He had a girlfriend—cheerleader—throughout high school. But he leveraged my friend’s infatuation to give him almost daily blowjobs in an empty classroom. She was a nice girl—and a virgin—with low-self esteem who mistook his 15 minute attention as affection. He would bother to acknowledge her except at blowjob time.
Fast forward to our 10 year reunion. He approached her and apologized for his behavior. He was now balding and paunchy. He told her the only reason he was at the reunion was to tell her this: “I look a lot worse than I did then but I’m a much better person. How I treated you was unforgivable but I hope you know that what I did had nothing to do with your worth. It had everything to do with my low character.”
I heard the whole thing. It was obvious he had rehearsed the speech. She told him the experience taught her a lot about herself and led her to therapy, which turned her life around. They wished each other well and he left the party.
This was well before social media so he had to tell her in person rather by message.
It truly meant the world to her that he acknowledge his behavior and apologized.

He was a popular teacher - the kind of person that connected with kids without being patronizing or immature. A couple of years later, one kid accused of molestation & then there were multiple accusations about how he'd used the rather isolated camp environment to molest kids. He was released on bail, but went home & shot himself.

I've shared several of these before on the DL but what the hell......
We had a pair of married teachers - he looked like a weird perv and she was beautiful. As it turned out, she'd posed nude for a men's magazine (I believe it was Oui) some years earlier, and now taught Spanish in our HS. Every so often a student would find the issue with her and bring it in. The classic trick that happened several times was that someone would tape the centerfold onto the projection screen. She'd see it, cry out and run out of the room.
We also had a pair of brothers who taught in our HS. They were French and Italian and handsome, in sort of a weird mustachioed French/Italian Ned Flanders/Ted Lasso way. Brother #1 (the more Sicilian looking one, tall and with very visible VPL) had a yen for fucking senior brunette girls with big knockers. Brother #2 (the more French looking one, with a bushy mustache) liked redheads and, occasionally, getting sucked by femme gay boys. I wasn't femme enough to qualify but was told a few years later by a fellow gay student, who also told me he was uncut and had an enormous foreskin. Brother #1 knocked up the brunette he porked in our class and they got married.
One of the classes near me (year before or after) had a catfucker. Yes, a male student fucked his cat (or tried to). Clearly he had mental issues. His name was Adam and he became known as Catam. If he spoke in class, someone would inevitably "meow" and the entire class would roar with laughter. I don't remember him graduating. Very weird but also hilarious when you're in a room full of 17 year olds.
Bonus memory: our 4 foot 11 Russian teacher, an elderly woman with a thick Russian accent, when the boys played the "Mike Hunt" trick on her. Seeing this woman waving a note in the air, repeating "Where? Is? My? Cunt?" over and over was hilarious. Even the other teachers could not keep a straight face.
(It's amazing I can remember any/all of this - I was severely bullied and spent about 50 percent of my senior year school time cruising at the nearest mall, trying to hook up with married men. It was a legit miracle that I graduated.)

I went to a conservative Baptist boarding school in the middle of nowhere (it was an hour's drive to the nearest McDonald's). Most of the faculty lived right off campus in townhouses and mobile homes provided by the school. With all those repressed Christians clumped together in isolation, there were frequent and steady acts of debauchery performed, all instigated by Satan's temptations, of course.
One story that comes to mind is the math teacher (female, fresh out of Bible college) who was super close with a tall, gangly starter on the varsity basketball team. Most people were charmed by their friendship, but some whispered that they were more than friends. The pair denied it vehemently.
That spring the teacher asked maintenance to come to her home and fix a clogged toilet. The worker struggled with the clog for much longer than the job should take. When he finally defeated the clog, his efforts were rewarded by a spectacular geyser of used condoms exploding from the bowl. Having lived in the church bubble all their lives and never receiving either sex ed or street smarts, the naive couple never learned condoms shouldn't be flushed.
The teacher was allowed to finish the remaining few weeks of school, but didn't return the following term. The boy remained in school and graduated the following year.

R293 Back in the day, you'd read about DA's not following through with a court case if the student-victim was unwilling to cooperate or didn't want to testify in court. Sometimes it was even parents who didn't want to put their teenager through it. Other times, you'd read about some kind of out of court plea bargain being made, where the offending teacher would agree to plead guilty to a lesser charge. This would more than likely involve losing their ability to teach; plus, they'd probably be under some kind of house arrest or suspended sentence for a period of time, which meant no actual prison time, as long as they stayed out of trouble.

Anyway, he was starring in a local theater production of "Equus" as Alan. I knew about the play and that there was male nudity in the professional productions, so I went. It was a very small theater of about 150 seats with the audience sitting on three sides. My heart was pounding throughout the entire play as I wondered if he was going to get naked. The sex scene started and he stripped to briefs, displaying a very nice body. A bit into the scene, voila! Off came the briefs and he continued the entire next how many minutes totally naked. I thought I would cum right there, as I tried my hardest to burn the image of his naked body into my mind. Anyway, word got out that he was performing naked and was the talk of the school, some saying that he should be expelled. I felt really sorry for him, but he was defiant. He was called into the principal's office where he got the official support of the administration; I was somewhat shocked. I still recall the moment that he dropped the briefs, and I learned that several of the gay boys in the school went to see the show after me. But, for a couple days, I was very fearful for him and his relationship with his classmates.

Back in the 1960s, the hot young Italian gym teacher used to shower with us after every class. Muscular, hairy and very well hung, he was sex on a stick.
He became engaged to the virginal Irish Algebra teacher, who was absolutely giddy about their upcoming wedding.
We found it amusing that we knew what she’d be getting on the wedding night before she did.

[quote][R308] what was his dick like? Did he make it as an actor?
He had a thin frame, but very well-toned body, which he often displayed on stage in our hs productions. When the shorts came off, the first thing I noticed was his very neatly trimmed bush. His dick was cut and pretty average sized, but his stage movements made it flop all over. I must admit that I stared at it, not paying attention to what was going on. As a sixteen-yr old, I immediately erected and had to put my hands on my lap for fear of being seen. He is now a staple at professional regional theater shows and is married to a guy who also was in our hs shows. I know his husband is well-endowed, because I used to see him in the shower after gym class.

Senior year in high school, Dallas suburbs, there was a very popular girl who was on the drill team, friendly, well-liked, probably nominated homecoming queen. You know the type. It was the mid-80’s, and she had a deep tan, tons of makeup, white lipstick, meticulous manicure, and long hair that she curled the ends of every morning, and wispy bangs. It was also frosted several shades of blond. She used to sit ahead of me in one class so I always checked out her basic but fashionable looks, which she clearly spent a lot of time on. She had a very loud, extroverted personality.
Suddenly she was out of school for a few days. Then when she returned, she showed up to school with a strange hairstyle. One whole side of her head had the hair shaved off, like with clippers, and the rest, including the bangs, had been left alone and was still very long and curled with a curling iron. She was dressed “punk/new wave” (sort of) to match the weird hairstyle. But it made no sense. The hair looked bizarre and ridiculous, and the fashion look seemed hastily assembled. Our school had a whole clique of punk and new wave kids (myself included) that she didn’t know or ever talk to. None of us had such an extreme hairstyle (one guy had a Mohawk). Her popular cheerleader friends rallied around her like nothing was wrong. Rumors were: her hair got caught in a blender, she was attacked, cancer, she was in a medical experiment, she cut it off herself in a mental breakdown. Whatever had happened everyone agreed the “punk” fashions were trying to cover up something weird that had happened to her hair (plus, why not just cut the rest shorter and blend it in?) Soon she stopped wearing the new wave clothes and her curly locks were just brushed over the buzzed half, which looked even weirder. She carried on as popular as ever.
Then one day she wasn’t in school, then a whole week. This was all in the spring of senior year so the end of school was near. She was a senior. Weeks later a lot of popular kids were going class to class with a giant card for everyone to sign, because she was sick in the hospital and needed cheering up. Ohh… maybe it was cancer? Nope.
We later heard through the grapevine she wasn’t exactly in the hospital. She had been admitted to Timberlawn. Back then in Dallas in the 80’s Timberlawn was where rich parents sent their troubled teenagers to get off drugs or to be locked in straight jackets because they were crazy or cutting themselves or were suicidal. It turns out she had cut all her hair off (or half) during an “episode” and her and her parents gave her a punk look to cover it up. She never returned to school, and wasn’t at graduation.
You can see her in the yearbook, pictures of her on the drill team, smiling with all her friends. The I-went-crazy-and-cut-my-hair-off part is never acknowledged.
Decades later I looked her up and she was still living in Texas and looked totally different. Definitely looked like a lesbian.

The soccer team at my high school flew to Seattle for a tournament, but they never made it. Their plane crashed in the Canadian wilderness. The coaches died, and they were in the woods for 19 months. When they were rescued there were only 8 left alive.

This was in the late '70s, probably 1978. A woman was murdered in her house a few subdivisions away and a girl in my algebra class was bragging that it happened right next store to her house.
A day later, the police arrested her teenage brother for doing it and she never returned to school again.

The main building at my HS burned down my freshman year. It was scheduled to be demolished but still in use. Old wiring in a storage area used for drama props sparked it. Fire dept let it burn.
Cheerleaders getting pregnant like clockwork. Most had abortions, a few left school and had their babies.
Our school had a rite of spring every year between Hispanic and white kids. Spring of my senior year a nerd got jumped in the bathroom by 5 Hispanic guys. He was beaten pretty badly. Emboldened, they did it again, but this time it was the captain of the football team, who beat the shit out of all of them. It turned into a bigger event with adults involved, and school was cancelled for a couple days because emotions were so high
Funny ones: the prisspot school librarian, who would report kids kissing on campus was caught walking out of the janitors closet with paper towels, messed up hair, and her skirt tucked into her panty hose. A few minutes later the vice principal walked out. They were middle aged, so we were all more grossed out that old people had sex. Plus leverage if anyone needed it.
A classmate in my human anatomy class was a pathological liar. Had, or a family member had every disease brought up in class. One day we all peed in cups to test our urine as a diabetic would. Liar gets called to the main office, which was a setup by the teacher. Teacher replaces his cup with colored sugar water so he’ll test off the charts for diabetes. Liar comes back to class, office said they hadn’t called him, tests his ‘urine’ and of course freaks out. We were all complicit and acted shocked. Then the teacher walks over drinks the cup of sugar water and says yeah, that does seem pretty sweet. We all laughed, then the liar passed out. But the story got around, and it did curb the story telling. We didn’t know our teacher had it in him!

cheat on your boyfriend
go to the bathhouse "just to watch"
invite a rando from Craigslist over to jack off for you/murder you

I went to a small town rural school in the 80s. On one graduation night, three of the most popular guys (football stars, etc.) were driving home from a party around 2-3 am. They had all been drinking. The driver fell asleep and they crashed. The two passengers died on scene. The driver survived. Not sure what ever happened to him. A few years later, my brother’s friend hanged himself. Part of me always wondered if it’s because he was gay. He was a jock and well liked, but was never interested in girls even though quite a few threw themselves at him. I always wished I knew and could have somehow talked to him about it.

It's always very tragic when a car accident happens in HS, especially when someone is killed.
A friend of mine was the driver in an accident - he'd had his license for only a few weeks and was taking a friend home from the movies on a country road. (I was supposed to go along and would have been in the back seat.)
He wasn't very familiar with that rural road and it wasn't well lit, and the car flipped over, which killed the passenger.
It didn't reverberate so much in our HS as we were all sort of quiet gay nerds and not very popular, but we were also in a youth group together, and that became an ongoing drama for that group.
It irrevocably changed a lot of us, especially my friend who drove the car......always happy go lucky before that. No way something like that doesn't change a person.
