I get that it's mainly for lesbians, but MichFest has always been a big topic of conversation here.
So why not the Dinah Shore Party?

The Dinah event is really focused on rich lesbians. They may be welcoming of others to some degree but it's always been an event in conjunction with the sports dykes, and the guest lists are usually very A list. Tickets to some of the events are well beyond what a mere mortal could spend.
It's also usually in Rancho Mirage and/or Indian Wells, not Palm Springs. Those towns are more restricted areas where all the rich people live. Compared to the White Party, for example, which is smack dab in the middle of Palm Springs and more accessible to more people.
