Misha Collins On Saying Goodbye To Harvey Dent Too Soon & The “Sad” End Of The ‘Supernatural’
DEADLINE: As Gotham Knights comes to an end, so does The Winchesters, which closes out another chapter of your career in a way. How does it feel to see that franchise end at the same time?
COLLINS: I was just cleaning out my garage, and I had all of these boxes and I was finally sorting through it. I don’t know where all of this stuff came from, but I had like 60 or 70 Supernatural t-shirts and dozens of copies of Entertainment Weekly magazines that we were on the cover of. I was like, ‘Oh. I just have to bring all this stuff to Goodwill. This chapter of my life is over.’ I was gonna say bittersweet, but it’s actually just sad. I’m not sure what the sweet part of it is. We have to move on and take on other exciting projects in our lives, but Supernatural is always going to have just such a fond place in my heart because it was such a big chapter of my life, but it also so radically changed my life. I still hold on to some shred of hope that, at some point, we can do some resurrection of the show. Some movie or limited-run series… find some way to say hello and goodbye to the characters one more time.

I've said this before but knowing almost nothing about this guy, his ego is literally hilarious. I could spend hours watching him on Twitter or Instagram doing his delusional mugging, attempting to be a "cute/wacky celebrity that's just like us!". LOL! He seriously thinks he's a household name and I get the impression he can barely pay his mortgage. Somebody's posted here before his literal begging to be in the projects those two guys from The Supernatural have been in or produced. And even they struggle to keep jobs. At least they have some measurable success. This guy was an extra they decided to keep around and somehow ended up being a regular. He got hooked on all the crazed, lonely housewife and fatty trans-girl fans they had and is under the impression they're all still out there following him. They aren't. I do hope he can maintain work but I find his arrogance tiresome. Especially when he attempts to play enlightened political activist, clearly pandering to legitimate Hollywood types who may hire him. His subtlety can be seen from outer space.

I'm sure Amexmander and Maison are teased unmercifully by their fellow classmates.

R2, he has a child named "Amexmander" ?!?!

No, R3.

His Instagram is especially funny. While most people post at least some photos of things they see, nearly every single photo he posts is of HIM. Not the family, or kids, or pretty things he sees. He has to be IN the photo, mugging for the camera. Oh look, I was in Ukraine! Here I am all over Ukraine! I'm VERY famous here you know! Look at this zany face I'm making in front of this not-funny thing I found! I'm such a clown! Ugh

Misha started Supernatural in Season 4 and lasted through Season 15.
And he got star billing in a majority of those seasons.
So he's not lying, when says that he's a big part of Supernatural.
Especially considering how most recurring characters ended up dying at some point. Misha's character stayed through the very end.
Not only that, but they tried to kill him off and the fans demanded that he return.
I know it's a thing here to hate on Misha Collins, but no matter what the haters say, he was a star and a main character on the show.
And to the point of salary, his pay was probably very decent. Not quite up to par with Jared and Jensen, but if he even made half their salary, he would be doing very well.

Okay, great, thanks Bethany/Heather/Tammy @ R6 and R7. That's cool. He's totally megawatt. He probably writes you once a week, too and totally flirted with you that time at the "SuperCon" convention, right? That's awesome babe!

Don't forget his pathetic gay-baiting and pretending to be "bisexual" until he walked it back.

I've posted here before that I have a friend who obsesses over him, Tom Hiddleston, John Barrowman (met him once and he made my skin crawl), the guy who played Rumplestiltskin on some TV show and NPH. All these dudes are pretty much known for their cloying and attention seeking at all costs.
Her newest obsession is Yellowstone's Beth Dutton.
Haven't watched the show but does she git the same m.o. as these guys?

I love Entertainment Weekly's iconic photo spread of the Supernatural boys, which INCLUDED Misha, along with Jared and Jensen.
If he was not a big part of the show, he would not have been in it.
So there.

Thanks again Bethany/Heather/Tammy @ R12. We're all sure "Mish" appreciates your hard PR work and we agree, he totally wrote you an email asking if you'd marry him as soon as he gets away from his wife. And yes, that IS totally him who keeps calling your mobile phone and hanging up. He can't get you out of his head, babe! Good for you. 🙄

This is a strange dude. Strange in the same way that someone who has been a dork or an ugly duckling all his life, but who somehow blossoms into a reasonably attractive or popular adult, is strange. What is this guy's story?

He grew up very poor, so give him a fucking break.
The guy made something of himself as an actor and an activist.
Misha should rightfully be proud of his accomplishments.
[quote] Misha Collins was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Richard Krushnic[citation needed] and Rebecca Tippens. He was raised in an irreligious family. Growing up, his family was poor and often homeless. He has said that his surname, Krushnic, "goes back six generations in Canada, and we're not sure where they came from." His stage name, Collins, is his great-grandmother's maiden name.
[quote] Before acting, he interned for four months at the White House during the Clinton Administration in the Office of Presidential Personnel.

R14, my guess is that he's always been a narcissist, has always craved and loved attention. He landed one notable (and "notable" is subjective) acting role that he's been struggling to dine-out on for years now. Again, to me, his Instagram account explains a lot. He truly is in love with himself. An alleged straight man, with a family, who takes and posts pic after pic after pic after pic of himself posing for his own photo, posting them over and over. Rarely expressing interest in anything of substance other than himself. That little stunt he pulled with proclaiming himself as gay/bi then pulling it back was of course, more than likely, premeditated and was meant to titallate his 75 fans. But I think it backfired and ended up hurting him. I'm not sure if he'd be considered a "good" actor because it's hard to judge the acting on those types of low budget shows he used to be on. But in the time he's been around and spends self-promoting, one would think he would have at least ended up in a second-tier/supporting role on a TV sitcom by now. Or, even a Hallmark or Lifetime show. But he hasn't. I don't think the guy could even get hired as a victim of Law and Order. And they literally hire everybody. If you ever lived in New York and had any passing interest in acting, you've been on Law and Order as a dead guy or the dead-guy-adjacent neighbor who gets interviewed for 20 seconds. He just doesn't seem to realize it isn't going to happen for him, or hasn't happened yet. I kind of feel sorry for the wife or whoever it is he lives with. Can you imagine how insufferable he must be? And I bet he has a violent temper at home.

You sound like a psycho, R16.
You know nothing about him, and all you're doing is judging him making assumptions.
And you know what they say about people who make ASSumptions.

Did his divorce fall through after the failed gay-baiting?

Hey R17, aren't you doing the same thing? That's all we are here, people making assumptions. So what's your point, other than being an angry fangirl? It's cool that you like him. Tell us why. Tell us how awesome he is instead of being so defensive. You can't blame people for having a negative impression of the guy when he's been an attention-starved douche. But you disagree. Okay, cool. Please, tell us more. I promise to reassess my opinion.
