Giant African snails invade Florida, area under quarantine
As though that state couldn't become more of a hellscape
They eat over 500 types of vegetation as well as the PLASTER and STUCCO off homes and are extremely toxic to humans and require special handling.
How long before Florida Man decides to use them for target practice?

Because nothing says salvation like the taste of snail mucus!

Can they be convinced to head towards Mar-a-Largo and snack on a big pile of orange garbage?

[QUOTE]The snail is, in fact, so large that it is disqualified from competing in the World Snail Racing Championships, according to National Geographic.
Can they at least share the locker room?

This is not “people buying exotic pets and letting the, go in the wild.” This is deliberate and no doubt comes from China or Russia (most likely China). Invasive species devastate our ecosystem and cost billions of dollars when ecosystems are disrupted. You really think all those people let Burmese pythons out in the Everglades? Nuh uh. Somebody imported those things specifically to put in the Everglades and they put A LOT of them there over a period of a few years.
This is no mistake.

I think some exotic snakes escaped from pet stores, going as far back as Hurricane Andrew. Also, people who can't handle these animals as a pet, release them...which is easy in a warm climate. Then, nature takes its course.

As opposed to Cubans or Africans in the United States legally and who, respectively, try to engage in Santeria practices or consume illegal, dangerous bush meat? A crime BTW.

The garbage heap that is Florida (I know, I lived there for years) deserves what's happening. One day it'll be gone permanently.

Probably more so than their native Africa, r21. A lot more stucco and plaster to feed on. They use it as a source of calcium for their shells.
