Prince Louis' antics

What say you DL, is this normal behavior?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 151June 21, 2023 6:34 PM

He's just a random kid, freak.

by Anonymousreply 1June 18, 2023 3:25 AM

Normal enough for BRF, Ltd

by Anonymousreply 2June 18, 2023 3:26 AM

I love this kid. And I think Kate is a great mom. William seems like a good dad, too. Raising kids is incredibly difficult in the best of circumstances. Imagine having every movement of your kid on public display.

Got it that we’re not talking about the sad plight of DL’s Darfur Orphan, but, still, what a ducked up way to be a kid.

by Anonymousreply 3June 18, 2023 3:28 AM

Duck.

by Anonymousreply 4June 18, 2023 3:28 AM

He's gonna be Harry on steroids when he grows up. Desperately needs a new nanny, preferably one proficient with the rod. If the royals can't keep their crotchfruit in check, what kind of a message does that send about the British society?

by Anonymousreply 5June 18, 2023 3:29 AM

Kid's got cujones. I like that in a tiny prince.

by Anonymousreply 6June 18, 2023 3:29 AM

He looks like he's about to announce his bid for President of the United States.

by Anonymousreply 7June 18, 2023 3:32 AM

Getting Prince Andrew vibes from this one

by Anonymousreply 8June 18, 2023 3:35 AM

So many basements in Buckingham Palace ...

by Anonymousreply 9June 18, 2023 3:40 AM

He’s a brat. There’s usually one in most families.

by Anonymousreply 10June 18, 2023 3:41 AM

I don’t understand why people think he’s adorable (including his mother, obviously). What a punk

by Anonymousreply 11June 18, 2023 3:48 AM

He’s. Five. Years. Old.

Give it a rest.

by Anonymousreply 12June 18, 2023 3:50 AM

He raised his hand to smack his mums face. His parents should spend more time parenting and less time pimping them out to the media for oohs and ahhhs. It's just sad.

by Anonymousreply 13June 18, 2023 3:54 AM

Leave me out if this. I've had a government job for the past three years, and I'm very respectful and well behaved. But I really would love to hang out with this kid at a Royal function. Good times, and who knows, I could even be a distant cousin of the Markle bitch.

by Anonymousreply 14June 18, 2023 4:26 AM

Notice the raied, clenched fists.

The navy blue suit.

The white dress shirt.

The red tie .........

Louis has a government job too and may have one for the rest of his life (unless he exits the family business).

by Anonymousreply 18June 18, 2023 4:43 AM

Relax, he's just a kid. Wait until he matures and the sexual assaults and cover-ups begin. Then you may object.

by Anonymousreply 19June 18, 2023 5:05 AM

I think his robotic seemingly permanently depressed older brother is not the normal one. Fucked up family.

by Anonymousreply 20June 18, 2023 6:06 AM

Autism.

by Anonymousreply 21June 18, 2023 6:13 AM

What that kid needs is a good old fashioned ass whooping . i bet no ones ever laid a hand on him,and it shows.

by Anonymousreply 22June 18, 2023 6:24 AM

Nice of them to let him come up with a couple of antics. Before long, Charlotte will rein him in, you may rest assured on this.

George probably can't be bothered to do so. He's more like "Can't be arsed," and he knows Lottie will make Louis' life miserable if the baby brat ever dare being a pain in the arse to her beloved big brother George.

by Anonymousreply 23June 18, 2023 12:32 PM

r5 = the ghost of QEII

by Anonymousreply 24June 18, 2023 12:35 PM

I think among the Wales siblings, Louis is a bit of an outlier. George and Charlotte seem really close, resulting in Louis not involved in his elder siblings' close-knit bond. Being the outsider, Louis has very likely learned at an early stage in his life that being the playful, jolly clown which is getting him attention.

That being said, I sincerely hope Louis won't end up as Harry 2.0

by Anonymousreply 25June 18, 2023 12:37 PM

In the balcony video, right before the brat did the salute( jfk style) you can see Kate Middleton told him to do it. William Thumbhead did not like that and you can see he says " just clap".

by Anonymousreply 26June 18, 2023 5:42 PM

*Jfkstyle as in John John*

by Anonymousreply 27June 18, 2023 5:42 PM

Louis looks just like Kate's dad. Charlotte looks like William as a boy. Some site had side by side pictures.

by Anonymousreply 28June 18, 2023 5:47 PM

Yes, it's normal behaviour for a kid, but he shows very little restrain for the kind of educations royals generally receive.

People use to laugh about Froilan behaviour in Spain but when he reached his teenage years he was totally spoiled and he continues to be a nightmare for spanish monarchy (with the difference the people doesn't like him at all now unlike when he was a kid)

by Anonymousreply 29June 18, 2023 5:51 PM

He's going to be the court jester.

by Anonymousreply 30June 18, 2023 5:52 PM

If there were any sort of issues, he wouldn't be on the fucking balcony. They can easily say he's too young.

by Anonymousreply 31June 18, 2023 5:57 PM

He looks like he’s on the autism spectrum. Probably higher functioning. He covers his ears with the loud noise of the airplanes, just like the previous time he was on the balcony ( the Queens Jubilee) because he’s sensitive to the noice and gets overstimulated. He also seems to have trouble staying still and is rather fidgety, he can’t just focus on the airplanes or any one thing in particular. He points to this, he moves his attention to something else, he salutes, he clenches fists from stimulation all in a span of a minute. This is common among people on the spectrum. I’ve worked with children on the spectrum and have seen many of the same behaviors in them. He most likely has the best behavioral specialist working with him already. All on the hush-hush, of course.

by Anonymousreply 32June 18, 2023 6:12 PM

Louis might be demented, but at least he has personality.

by Anonymousreply 33June 18, 2023 6:19 PM

R32 = DL's resident autism troll.

Sadly, his obsession with autism prevented him from learning how to spell noise.

[quote] because he’s sensitive to the noice

by Anonymousreply 34June 18, 2023 6:31 PM

R32 has obviously never been with a pretty normal 5yrs old kid in his life before.

by Anonymousreply 35June 18, 2023 6:32 PM

Did anyone ever find out what is wrong with his cousin Merchie?

by Anonymousreply 36June 18, 2023 6:36 PM

Just because DL doesn’t have an edit option, doesn’t discount the behavior displayed for all to see. The obsession with defending this family is bizarre. You do realize you are nothing to them? By the way, not a troll. Haven’t posted here in months.

by Anonymousreply 50June 18, 2023 6:52 PM

He seems like a typical five year old to me.

I realize that many DLers have been estranged from their families for decades and have no straight friends so they have no contact with children or any knowledge of how children behave, but Louis seems pretty normal.

by Anonymousreply 61June 18, 2023 7:06 PM

Why did Kate tell Louis to salute? William seemed against it?

by Anonymousreply 62June 18, 2023 7:07 PM

Kate spoke about Louis in the past. She said that when Louis gets home from school he says that he has a lot of energy to burn off so he goes outside to run around. I think he's very outgoing child with energy to burn.

by Anonymousreply 63June 18, 2023 7:09 PM

R63 She’s not going to actually say the truth. Of course, she’ll just say he’s “energetic”.

by Anonymousreply 64June 18, 2023 7:13 PM

I am the OP of one of the first threads on the Internet that suggested Barron Trump was on the autistic spectrum after his behavior at the Republican National Convention. It got thousands of hits (back when we still had the counter) because it got picked up by Google and other people were searching for the terms “Barron Trump autism” becoming they noticed the behavior as well. I am on the Spectrum myself.

This is ABSOLUTELY autism spectrum behavior.

0:10 -covers ears - auditory overstimulation

0:20 - 0:30 - makes fists and pounds them together- this is stimming. This is a coping mechanism of extrasensory stress.

0:33 - 0:40 - waving - unusual expression of a motor function

There is no doubt in my mind about this. He most likely has already been diagnosed and is probably receiving the best care possible l

R37, the obsession with hating this family is so extreme among some on DL that they try to use the perfectly normal behaviour of a 5-year-old kid, and one who is obviously much loved and happy, and call him all sorts of nasty names as a way to attack his parents. You are disgusting.

by Anonymousreply 66June 18, 2023 7:17 PM

Comments about Louis on DL are particularly sad because they reveal that so many posters are eldergays who haven't been near a small child in about four decades.

by Anonymousreply 67June 18, 2023 7:19 PM

Exactly r67.

by Anonymousreply 68June 18, 2023 7:20 PM

What was Kate's alcoholic drink of choice when she was pregnant with little Louis?

by Anonymousreply 71June 18, 2023 7:25 PM

R69 just watch the linked video at R65, it’s from the original source

by Anonymousreply 72June 18, 2023 7:25 PM

From the moment I laid eyes on Louos I k ew it. Nothing wrong with that. That's life...

Is this why they hid him from the piblic for so long, and didn't show a photo until recently. They also seem to comb his hair in a particular way to hide it too

by Anonymousreply 73June 18, 2023 7:27 PM

He's a perfectly healthy, normal 5 year old who looks as though he's going to be tall and handsome (in that Windsor way), r71, so it's unlikely his mother was drinking any alcohol when she was pregnant with him.

by Anonymousreply 74June 18, 2023 7:28 PM

No one is calling Louie nasty names or attacking his parents. Many people who’ve worked with, or are on the spectrum are giving their opinion. He probably already getting the best treatment.

by Anonymousreply 75June 18, 2023 7:32 PM

He looks like a normal five year old who's a bit rambunctious.

by Anonymousreply 76June 18, 2023 7:33 PM

Hmmm, I see irony here in that DL is invaded daily by old biddies harping about Harry and wife's actions and kids.

by Anonymousreply 79June 18, 2023 7:38 PM

There is absolutely nothing wrong with identifying that a child might be on the autism spectrum. That’s like getting offended for suggesting an effeminate or tomboyish child may grow up to be a gay or lesbian.

This reminds me of the episode of Curb where the mother got offended that Larry bought her effeminate son a sewing machine which is probably the nicest thing his character did in the run of the series.

I'm getting a strong Taffy Davenport vibe. I might like this kid.

by Anonymousreply 82June 18, 2023 7:45 PM

Blah, blah, blah. Many if not most of us most certainly have been around small children. As hard as it is to believe most of us are still involved with family and straight friends. I know from a brat, and Louis is definitely one. I dont think hes autistic either, just a brat. He'll either grow out of it or he wont. A couple of good hard swats would curb much of his behavior.

by Anonymousreply 83June 18, 2023 7:52 PM

Don't worry, R83, I'm at it.

by Anonymousreply 84June 18, 2023 7:56 PM

[quote] But [R80] Louis just appears to be a normal kid

See the problem is all in you. NORMAL. Do not use this word. It WOUNDS.

“Louis behaves neurotypically.” Or, conversely, “Louis displays behaviors consistent with autism spectrum disorders.”

by Anonymousreply 85June 18, 2023 8:07 PM

Louis behaves like an ordinary 5yrs old kid. End of.

by Anonymousreply 86June 18, 2023 8:23 PM

He reminds me of Andrew.

by Anonymousreply 87June 18, 2023 8:30 PM

I raised children. He is rambunctious. His parents, like most, are probably more lenient with him than they were with his siblings. He doesn’t display autistic traits. Lots of kids cover their ears at loud noises. The other behaviours were normal. I think he is a kid with a lot of energy.

My cousin was 10x worse as a child. He would attack the farm animals. Knocked out a rooster that attacked him (not necessarily a bad thing, as the rooster didn’t attack any children after that). Would be on the ground kicking and screaming if he didn’t want to do something. His parents didn’t do much. He grew up to be an athlete, went to university on full scholarship, founded a multi million dollar company, and is now running it from his retirement home in a sunny country.

Let’s face it, this kid’s a freak. I hope he marries that oddball Prince Oscar from Sweden. It will be like something off the set of Carnivàle.

by Anonymousreply 91June 18, 2023 9:02 PM

He is five years old. You sound like a freak, r91.

by Anonymousreply 92June 18, 2023 9:07 PM

Yep. He’s a five year old freak. I met several in kindergarten.

by Anonymousreply 93June 18, 2023 9:11 PM

Considering how he is neatly dressed, has to sit or stand for hours, be in front of huge crowds and cameras, perform in public ceremonies, etc. Louis is not just a normal five-year-old kid, he's a very well-behaved kid.

by Anonymousreply 94June 18, 2023 9:18 PM

No one harps on about Harry's kids, r79. They discuss what the parents are doing to those kids.

by Anonymousreply 95June 18, 2023 9:20 PM

I teach 2nd grade. Every time we have a fire drill. My kids cover their ears. All of the 2nd graders do it. They are 7 - 8 yrs old. They also cannot sit still. Most of them have very busy hands and very busy bodies. It’s a little worse for the 5 yr olds in kindergarten.

Did you list a few of the symptoms of autism? Yes. Does Louis’ behavior seem normal for a 5 yr old? Yes.

by Anonymousreply 96June 18, 2023 9:21 PM

I'd probably just leave him at home instead of taking him to public events. People would definitely understand. Plus, you've still got George and the Charlotte.

by Anonymousreply 97June 18, 2023 9:25 PM

Wrong R95. I've seen some pretty vile comments about their kids.

by Anonymousreply 98June 18, 2023 9:38 PM

ADHD. It's quite obvious, all of the signs are there. I wish for his parents to have ultimate patience. They have a rough road ahead with this boy. Once he hits his early to mid 20s things should have either calmed down or completely exploded. Unfortunately, it's a toss-up. Glad I'm not part of their lives. Been there-done that --- what they all are about to go through is not for the faint of heart.

by Anonymousreply 99June 18, 2023 9:41 PM

Hilarious - a bunch of childless unqualified gay men making clinical assessments on a child who they don’t know, based on a couple of frames of pictures at an event thousands of miles away.

Here’s my assessment - in 15 or 20 years’ time he’ll be a good looking, famous young man who has had the best education that money can buy, who knows everyone and never has to worry about whether he can afford to pay the next utilities bill.

And you’ll all be bitterly living in the past, still judgemental, still jealous and still stuck in your early twenties gay party “boy” mindset, while life has passed you by.

Louis is going to be alright.

by Anonymousreply 112June 18, 2023 11:31 PM

I agree R88. My favorite girl cousin had 2 of the most unpleasant hellions in the annals of our family history. Universally loathed. One is now an ER nurse and the other just got her masters in business and they are both very pleasant young ladies. Go figure.

Oh yeah, an alliance between two unrepentant monsters would be hilarious. It’ll be particularly funny when they embark on a genocidal campaign to unite all of Continental Europe and the British Isles under a single crown.

Unfortunately, victory would only lead to a bloodier battle: Determining which of the two will rule as Europa Regina.

He's a kid OP. Have you ever met any 5 year olds?

by Anonymousreply 131June 19, 2023 2:53 PM

He's retarded.

You can see it despite all the cosmetic surgery he's had in his short life.

At least there's a "shocking event that will forever change the Royal Family" with his name on it that is scheduled for 2026, which will rally support for the monarchy.

That's what a spare's spare is for, although Elizabeth and Philip were too cowardly to apply it to Andrew as was originally planned.

Normal and adorable. My brother, who is not autistic or on the spectrum, went through a phase where every photo shows him clowning around and making faces. He grew out of it by middle school but he’s still an extrovert as an adult.

by Anonymousreply 134June 19, 2023 7:26 PM

R13 Almost every kid tries to hit their parents in a tantrum. You just do not let them and catch their hand, and teach them two things: don't hit people and also, no one has to let themselves be beaten. Again and again, which Kate is doing. She could also let him do and laugh it off and raise an asshole. Some of you aren't around little children very often.

by Anonymousreply 135June 19, 2023 7:39 PM

R135 yes, some of us aren’t around little kids very often, because we’re not straight women.

[quote]He looks like he’s on the autism spectrum. Probably higher functioning. He covers his ears with the loud noise of the airplanes, just like the previous time he was on the balcony ( the Queens Jubilee) because he’s sensitive to the noice and gets overstimulated.

When she was younger, his sister covered her ears, too. Those planes are very loud, and little kids tend to respond accordingly.

R136 hm no, it's definitely not that black and white.

[quote]What was Kate's alcoholic drink of choice when she was pregnant with little Louis?

May I remind those with medium-term memory loss that Kate couldn't keep ANYTHING down during her three pregnancies?

FWIW, I cover my ears at loud music, sometimes even at the sound levels in the cinema, and I am not autistic. I'm a musical theatre nerd who has never exposed my eardrums to the kind of noise considered necessary at pop and rock concerts. I'm sure a fly-past would produce the same reaction in me too. As an adult I'd know enough to self-censor if I were on the Royal balcony, but a five-year-old doesn't know that.

The issue with Louis is that we can't know. Those on the spectrum are keen to claim him, others are keen to point the finger and others are keen to defend, but the truth is, none of us has seen enough behaviour from him of any kind to make a proper diagnosis, and none of us has seen him even once interacting in a normal situation, such as a schoolroom or at dinner with the family. So, we've all said our piece and should probably shut up now.

I've have significant congenital hearing loss since I was a kid. I always failed the hearing tests in grade school and got sent to the ENT. I have hearing aids now. Anyway, one of the features is intolerance to certain loud noises -- sirens, alarms, fireworks. If I'm out on a walk and police car or fire truck with sirens drive by I have to cover my ears. I've been doing it since childhood. Maybe Datalounge is picking on the wrong disability.

Do you live in a vacuum, R136? I am a gay man with no children and no desire to have children and I am surrounded by friends and family, gay and straight, male and female who do have offspring from babies to adults.

Here is the thing which some of you are failing to grasp:

He is not just covering his ears. If I saw him covering his ears once and said it was ASD I’d be nuts.

But being on the Spectrum myself, I see PATTERNS. And at R65 I see three different traits exhibited sequentially within the space of 40 seconds. Neuros simply don’t see them or choose not to see them. When I see them it’s like a gong going off.

Exercise: twenty year old interview with Josh Hartnett. What are the PATTERNS?

The little boy’s behavior is very concerning. Especially when you consider it [italic]in toto.

Attacking a child because the Duke and Duchess of Dior have fucked up and been found out - again - always keeping it classy, squaddies.

R147. I’ve been on here because I like BRF gossip. I’ve called out the klan grannies, but I’m not a Sussex fan, I think everyone in that family is an open target for gossip. I also have defended Louis because I’ve been around kids that age and that’s how they act (especially the youngest of the family, they’re almost always spoiled).

That’s DL. Get used to it.

Scolding people for posting stuff you don’t like only makes them more emboldened btw.

Plenty of neuros see them. But they don't judge people on 40 seconds' worth of behaviour, especially when exhibited in incredibly abnormal circumstances (on a Royal balcony receiving a fly-past, FFS). You may turn out to be right, R144, but you don't yet have enough evidence even though you think you do. You have never seen this kid's behaviour in ANY environment in which you might find an ordinary five-year-old -- not even for 40 seconds.

by Anonymousreply 149June 21, 2023 3:43 PM

Well R149, you're the one who knows everything. R144 doesn't know anything about this.
