Neverland Ranch
This can't be swept aside. I need to get this off my chest.
What should have happened: Neverland kept exactly as it was, like Graceland, so fans could take tours. MJ's body plastinated and put on display for fan selfies. Fans catch a tour bus in nearby Los Olivos which takes them to the ranch. MJ's music plays during the bus ride along with a recorded voice telling them about MJ's electrifying career and what they'll be seeing on the tour.
What happened: The residences were emptied for auction and carnival rides sold off. MJ's body was buried in an unmarked grave in a large cemetery. A billionaire bought the hollowed out Neverland as a land speculation investment and changed the property's name back to Sycamore Valley Ranch.
If a documentary about the creation of and lifestyle at Neverland had been produced at least we'd have something. I just can't get over that we don't have anything except some news helicopter aerials and a few scenes from the Bashir documentary. I feel so bereft.
I think everyone can agree the story of Michael Jackson and Neverland ended in a very un-Michael Jackson style. Perhaps that's the greatest tragedy of allājust how lame the end and aftermath of HIStory was.

A reminder where the crimes against children were committed

R2 A jury found him innocent of those charges.

Considering the atrocities that took place there, it should be scorched to the ground.

What the fuck is your problem OP? Blind deaf and definitely dumb. That ranch was a crime scene. Everyone with common sense is thrilled it's gone. Really, get help!

Who could visit that place without getting the creeps? It was just a full-scale realization of his arrested development and child-centric fantasies, as documented also in the cringeworthy paintings he had done. A monument to insulated, arrogant pedophilia that no one would want to go to (except OP).

Op is probably a sex offender

The place should have been razed to the ground. It couldn't have accumulated more bad karma if it had been built on top of America's largest Cherokee burial ground.

R3 No, a jury found him "not guilty' of the charges - that's different from innocence.

A tacky on-the-cheap mini-amusement park for a pedophile to arrange overnighters with young boys, writing it all off as part of the freak's "child-like innocence."

OP's computer needs to be checked out by the FBI.

No one wants to see the home of a known pedo, OP.
And if you seriously typed that his body should have been put on display, you are a broken, damaged, fucked up human being. Fuck the ENTIRE WAY OFF, you skeezy motherfucker.

It's not unusual for crime scenes houses or other notorious residences to be demolished.
OJ's House in Brentwood is long gone.
The Heaven's Gate mansion near San Diego where 39 people committed suicide in 1997 to be transported to a spaceship in the Hale Bopp comet was long ago demolished.

R13 When it first happened the media reported the family burying him in an unmarked grave to discourage looky-loos. It must've been a ruse. I didn't check before posting because I don't want to visit the grave, I want to visit Neverland.

It is fondly remembered by Elizabeth Taylor fans as her wedding site.
Brooke Shields was MJ's date.

Perhaps OP would enjoy staged scenes with replicated figures of Michael, Jordie, Jason, Gavin, Wade, and Jimmy in various sexual poses. He could get selfies of himself participating.

Amongst many other things, it was an ugly reminder of the excess and gaudy 1980s. He hadn't lived there for years before he died anyway, he moved out in the early 2000s and never returned.
I have little knowledge about California's geography, but I've always heard this place was out of the way and a pain in the ass to get to, which is why a tourist trap was never an option. Also with the prevalence of wildfires and other extreme weather in California lately I doubt anyone wanted to invest millions on it.

For the last time, OP, the land should have been renamed Foreverland and turned over to a lesbian-run animal rescue, which would have effectively neutralized any of the property's residual sexual energy.
