I would like to go back to the time when models were selected based on their extraordinary beauty (conventional or not) and talent. Not based on their parents.

There are a handful or models from famous parents who belong there - but usually with a LOT of plastic surgery. I'm looking at you Ms. Jenner.

Aren’t they embarrassed? Don’t her friends laugh at her behind her back? It’s not like these kids a getting plucked out of high school in Ohio because they are exceptional. Their friends are going to know what real models look like and know the difference.

I would imagine that doing something like this takes you from being a very pretty young women with the cachet of rich, famous parents to being an object of mockery.

She’s more attractive than 90% of the female population, but not top tier like her mom. I assume the appeal is some easy money and a bit of independence from her parents. She’ll move on to something else unless she wants to lose 30lbs. (I don’t think she’s really overweight, but she’s not underweight which is required to model in the big leagues.)

Burns was a hot commodity when they got together r7, but fizzed out by the early 2000s.

First of all, she looks like she's 12, not 19. Secondly, her mother was a goddess. Not a cute little girl. A goddess. Does every daughter of a model need to go into modeling? I would hate to follow in Christy's footsteps.

Christy Turlington was so insanely beautiful. I wonder if that makes a daughter feel not good enough in comparison or proud?

I'm tired of this redefining what a model is. Models are human hangers to showcase clothes or beauty products. They are supposed to be very thin because of that.

And people like to see extraordinary beauty - there's nothing wrong with that either.

I'm not saying people can't be beautiful if they are not a certain size - but that doesn't mean that large models look great in clothes. They don't - and even if they do, they're typically held together with so many clips and pins to make the clothes look OK.

If I had a famous parent, I would choose a career/field so far removed from what made them famous. Following in their path only invites unfavorable comparisons.
