Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Called “F–king Grifters” By Spotify Exec And Podcaster Bill Simmons After Their Split With Co
by Anonymous | reply 503 | July 25, 2023 12:11 AM |
I'm a sports nut and Simmons is a very polarizing figure. But the one thing that can never be said about him? He's a shrinking violet. He definitely calls it like he sees it.
It's pretty great he said that. (And I am not sure I even agree with him.)

bwhahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 16, 2023 10:18 PM |
It’s never going to be over until every person who sided with Meghan is held accountable.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 16, 2023 10:29 PM |
He sounds like a loser. This is the most pressworthy statement he has ever made. I've never even heard of the guy. So who's the real grifter?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 16, 2023 10:44 PM |
Ah yes. Harry and Meghan are the grifters.
While the rest of the Royal Family are..... Uh... well... lemme think...
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 16, 2023 11:03 PM |
Simmons = legend. Who else will call it like it is? Will the Harkles run crying to Oprah and Gayle? Will they try to sue him?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 16, 2023 11:11 PM |
Great, more heartbreak.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 16, 2023 11:12 PM |
r4 That is a pretty strange definition of grifter you are touting. If your name is well known and famous you are not a grifter but if your name isn't well known by the public then you are more likely to be a grifter??? Absolute nonsense.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 16, 2023 11:25 PM |
[quote] “Shoot this guy to the sun,” Simmons groused, according to the Big Lead post. “I’m so tired of this guy. What does he bring to the table? He just whines about sh-t and keeps giving interviews. Who gives a sh-t? Who cares about your life? You weren’t even the favorite son. … You live in f-cking Montecito and you just sell documentaries and podcasts and nobody cares what you have to say about anything unless you talk about the royal family and you just complain about them.”
Is he a DLer?

Simmons is a POS. Spotify is probably ready to can him so he’s lashing out. Fits with his overall personality over many many years.

He said his Zoom chat w. Harry is a great story, said with a laugh that he'll share it when he does a podcast while drunk.

Speaking of drunk and crazy, see r21 above.

r22 He's not Piers Morgan, mere employee of ITV. He's a major early investor in Spotify, in charge of their monetization policy, AND one of their star podcasters.
Spotify is not going to remove him, and especially not if, as is the case here, his comments are entirely true.

This guy criticizes Harry for having it so good and still complaining, and then proceeds to peer over his $194 million dollars to complain like a cranky little bitch on the rag about a minor business mistake he, assuming he’s actually an executive for this company, made.
Cry me a fucking river.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 17, 2023 3:55 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 17, 2023 4:03 AM |
Bill can be outspoken, but he would not have made these remarks without the blessing of Spotify's management and board. They clearly despise Harry and Meghan and feel screwed over. There were blind items at one point, before Archetypes was released, stating Spotify was trying to extricate themselves from the deal. I think they had to threaten to sue them just to get Archetypes. Harry appears to have mostly left it to Meghan who left it to a producer. What a mess.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 17, 2023 5:27 AM |
So does this mean that r25 is right, and that Spotify didn't just fire them, but also just publicly shanked them?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 17, 2023 9:23 AM |
The mind boggles as to why Spotify execs who've no doubt seen/heard/rejected every class of grift imaginable gladly became marks for these two obvious grifters.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 17, 2023 9:40 AM |
Name me the publication or television show in America who went against them back then, r40?
All the Spotify executives read the "investment research" that their people had put together (to say nothing of Sunshine Sachs' contribution) and heard that "Harry and Meghan are IT!"
I don't blame the Spotify people. They were trying to satify their investors. They were completely let down by the quick-corrupted media they were used to relying upon.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 17, 2023 9:47 AM |
R41 Savvy execs "relying" on blatantly agendaed PR/media "to satisfy their investors"? Nope, doesn't fit the logic. I'm clueless about how Hollywood "works" , but twigged that at least Megs was a grifting horseshit artist from the engagement interview in 2017. It continues to boggle the mind that people far more experienced turned out to be a bunch of clueless marks.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 17, 2023 10:01 AM |
[quote]Simmons is a very polarizing figure
He regularly threatens people he dislikes and is constantly getting fired, suspended, and having exposes written about him because he treats others like shit. The most recent one was in the NYT. He's also mad because Harry didn't agree to some kind of podcast deal he pitched to him over Zoom one time.
As long has trashing these two is just an easy way for attention whores to get some press, or comes from someone who has a personal beef, there's nothing useful or interesting about any of it. They'd be such interesting gossip topics but it's not gossip anymore, it's culture wars bullshit and it's starting to border on mass hysteria.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 17, 2023 10:03 AM |
[quote]Bill can be outspoken, but he would not have made these remarks without the blessing of Spotify's management and board.
You really need to skim his Wikipedia page. He's been repeatedly suspended and fired for speaking out against the companies he works for, and has been yanked from important interviews (including Barack Obama) because of his complaints about his employers prior to the interview.
No one who knows anything about Simmons would assume he had Spotify's blessing to say this. I know that's what you guys are going to say, especially now when this is new, but my guess is that within a couple of weeks you'll have figured out that Simmons is just like this and has trashed hundreds of people in his career, and that is comment about H&M isn't any different than when he shouted "fuck Jalen Green!" for no real reason.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 17, 2023 10:10 AM |
I do not care about Bill Simmons.
I do not care about Harry and Meghan.
They are boring and so are the zillion threads about H&M.

by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 17, 2023 10:18 AM |
Sorry, r42 and the rest of the Bouzy Farm, but that is indeed the way it works with Hollywood's public companies.
I know you don't want it to be that way. I understand. Nevertheless, it is very much that way.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 17, 2023 10:22 AM |
R35 Simmons had nothing to do with either hiring or firing H&M.
R36 “Ran Grantland into the ground”? How? The fact that just about everyone there (followed him to The Ringer argues against that. The few who didn’t (Zach Lowe, Bill Barnwell, etc) were given big fat contracts by ESPN that they couldn’t turn down.
R44 ESPN didn’t want to seem “too political”. That’s why they cancelled that Obama interview. It had nothing to do with Simmons criticizing the company.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 17, 2023 10:41 AM |
Keep fucking that chicken R42 et al. Nary a comment from Spotify re Bill nor has there been a retraction. He's not the first, either (see Bob Iger's 'she needs us more than we need her' quip.) These execs are old pros at dealing with spoiled celebrities. What level of assholishness did Harry and Meghan attain that the execs feel free to let fly with their thoughts?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 17, 2023 12:32 PM |
I have a love-hate thing with Bill Simmons (he's an old school Celtics fan, I'm a Lakers fan)....but the wittle hwurt feewings of Harkles-fans, and calls for Simmons to be fired, are absolutely fucking hilarious!! All you BRF fucks -- whichever "side" you're on -- are beyond annoying.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 17, 2023 12:47 PM |
I agree that Simmons was the designated mouthpiece by Spotify. They couldn't put out a statement like that themselves, so they did the next best thing and got one of their major players to do it. This is calculated revenge for getting screwed over by the Sussexes. Harry should fast be learning that corporate America doesn't treat losers with kid gloves.
I also wonder if some of this negative publicity is the BRF finally taking the gloves off--it seems as if Harry and Meghan's true champion was the Queen all along.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 17, 2023 1:48 PM |
He is right though. All Harry does is whine about the royals and give useless interviews. Im sure the execs thought they would get dirt on the royals and more substance. Meghan was the one who was leading the podcasts though. Is she throwing Haz under the bus here? Where is she lately? Only time she showed her (new) face lately was the Hertz thing with Harry in tow. She didnt accompany him to anything he did.
Id love to hear more about this Zoom call where they tried to give Harry new ideas.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 17, 2023 1:54 PM |
It will be interesting to see how Netflix handles any more bullshit from the Sussexes. If it sours, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Crown got renewed for a final season which takes us up to the Queen's death, and makes Harry and Meghan look like total assholes in the process.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | June 17, 2023 1:57 PM |
I think so, R51. The BRF responses of late are the equivalent of 'not our problem'. They even publicly acknowledged Harry and Meghan were not invited to this weekend's events - probably to solidify the two are OUT and the BRF no longer desires any association with the two.

Harry not being invited to the King's birthday is a big deal. I thought at least the family would extend the generic "come if you want" invite. They are officially done.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | June 17, 2023 2:00 PM |
I'm guessing the "will-they-won't-they" bullshit over the Coronation, which went on for months and was clearly just another shallow publicity grab by the Sussexes. Especially since only Harry ended up coming, and he stayed for an insultingly short period of time. That's likely when the Palace made up its mind that there would be no more invites.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 17, 2023 2:02 PM |

[quote]I agree that Simmons was the designated mouthpiece by Spotify. They couldn't put out a statement like that themselves, so they did the next best thing and got one of their major players to do it.
I doubt this is true because most of his comments were about Harry, and it wasn't his podcast. I also don't think they'd send out one of their own CEOs to say something like this, because that still comes across as the corporation calling their own clients "grifters," and that's just a bad business move. Nothing to do with H&M and everything to do with how people perceive Spotify.
Corporations don't go airing their grievances like that. If they were going to leak something like this, they'd have waited a bit and leaked paperwork or had a "source" tell a gossip column, not have a fucking CEO go out and scream "We're idiots who got scammed by grifters! Also Harry didn't like my podcast ideas! Waaah!" That's pathetic. That's an Elon Musk or Donald Trump move.
Besides, Spotify makes its money off of grifters, unless you're going to tell me Joe "Captain Ivermectin" Rogan isn't a grifter, in which case, I'm going to laugh in your face.

Most of his comments focus on Harry because Harry was the 'get', not Meghan. Harry, however, barely appears in the final product and now it appears he wasn't much help behind the scenes. I wonder how that came about. Was Harry too lazy to participate or did he gift this to Meghan so she could have something of her own?
by Anonymous | reply 64 | June 17, 2023 2:40 PM |
R64 - Meghan likely told cuck Harry she is smarter than him and would make an award winning podcast about archetypes/ stereotypes/feminism and he just said "yes dear".

Was there a not-so-subtle balcony message at the Trooping of the Colour? The large space left between where the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh (Edward and Sophie) and The Duke and Duchess of Kent were standing? Was that void a 'missing in action' or an 'in memoriam' statement to Harry and Meghan? Was it intended signal to the masses that the BRF considers the Harkles to be utterly 'dead to us'?

𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝
Headed by powerhouse agent Ari Emanuel, the charismatic chief of talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME), the mission to re-invent Meghan is already well under way, The Mail on Sunday has learned.
If the rumours swirling around LA are true, she may be on the brink of signing a major deal with French couture house 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐫 to make her a face of the company, alongside global stars such as Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence.
'Meghan is all anyone is talking about,' a prominent Beverly Hills socialite said last night.
There have been rumours for weeks that she's about to sign a deal with Dior which has put the gossip mill into overdrive. If she pulls that off, then no one will remember that her silly little podcast got cancelled after one season.'
The Duchess, 41, has been immersed in meetings since signing with Emanuel, seemingly oblivious to an even bigger storm cloud which may be gathering, as streaming giant Netflix conducts an 'ongoing review' of its £80 million deal with the Sussexes.
'Ari is the best in the business when it comes to corporate deals and making money. He's excited to be representing Meghan and has thrown all his energy into it. The offers have been pouring in, including from other podcast platforms.'
'These guys were already on a war footing because they knew the Spotify announcement was coming,' he said.
'Ari will have a strategic and tactical battle plan in place to link her with sophisticated brand partners, like Dior. This is an opportunity to distance Meghan from the negativity of the past. 'It's no accident that she didn't go to the Coronation, that she didn't show up in London alongside Prince Harry when he was in court recently,'he said, referring to the Duke's appearance in the witness box in his phone hacking case against Mirror Group Newspapers.
'Meghan is wise to distance herself from her husband's toxic dramas. This is a woman who constantly moves forward. This is about building a global brand. There will be some big deals announced soon.'

The Harolds started negotiations with Spotify in anticipation of their half in-half out scheme, whlle still residing in the UK. I blame Spotify a little bit for falling for them, but have no doubt that Harold promised them (and Nflix too) all kinds of access to royals, plus Harold was supposed to be on the podcasts. Harolds lied, exaggerated and oversold their product, and I agree with Simmons' grifter designation.

Step 2. Half in/half out arrangement while selling merchandise under the brand Sussex Royal. That didnt work due to that cunt of a Queen.
Step 3. Milk Netflix and Spotify out of a few million. Dont actually do any work for them.
Step 4. Let the ginger cunt implode as he goes on whiny book tours and court hearings, bashing his older brother and whining about his dead mummy and his smelly cock.
Step 5. Sign with Dior and dump the loser.

Late to this thread. Simmon's complaints reminded me of an article written (anonymously) by a well-known podcast producer which was published at the time Archetypes was mid-release. One thing noted was that Archetypes had an extraordinary number of staff for a podcast of its size. He said that he only knew of one that had a staff so large, a daily political show that required a large number of people to keep abreast of changing news. He didn't say it, but what I gathered is that there was a lot of staff turnover (hmm, wonder why?) and people still needed to be credited even if they worked on a few of them. The Harkles managed to make both management and worker bees miserable. That's their special talent. You *know* the people who worked with her are texting like mad, high-fiving each other.
Yes, Arizona is Rahm Emmanuel's brother. Doesn't he have a reputation for being a hard ass if not a bastard? Maybe Meghan's met her match.

RE: Bill Simmons, another thing to keep in mind about this (which I meant to mention in my earlier comment but forgot) is that part of the terms of his sale of The Ringer to Spotify required him to remain employed by (i.e., run/manage) The Ringer (and by extension, Spotify) for a period of 4 years. His contract with Spotify is up early in 2024.
So, he has his money from the sale (at least $100 million for himself), is on an about-to-expire contract, all at a time when Spotify is tightening its belt in the podcasting area (like many businesses, they overspent on content during the pandemic), which is why he doesn't care about shooting off at the mouth about the Sussexes. I suspect that he's going to leave, Spotify is going to pull the plug on The Ringer website (which has always been a money loser, and a dramatically inferior version of Grantland) along with most of the The Ringer's podcasts, and then Bill will just start up another company to put out his own pod under a new name. His eponymous pod is easily the most popular one in The Ringer stable, so when Bill leaves that will gut it anyway.

No matter what they pursue they'll fail because they're both gauche and incompetant. And I'm all in for the entertaining shitshow.
Good example that they surround themselves with other incompetents as part of their "staff" : a TYPED thank you to a shop owner who kindly gifted Archie with a bike for his birthday. Even the Queen signed short thank you notes herself.

Well, Harry clearly didn't learn from his mother. Diana spent part of her honeymoon handwriting thank you notes to wedding guests. It's not unusual to see handwritten thank you notes from various royals posted on Twitter by recipients.
What's kind of bad about the letter is that despite being on office letterhead, it is not addressed to the bike shop by its name with an address as is typical in business communications. That way the bike shop could frame it and display it. Many small businesses will memorialize encounters with celebrities on their walls as a point of pride and a little PR. And if this isn't a business communication, why is it on impersonal office letterhead and not a note card with Meghan's "calligraphy?" The Sussex brand can be associated with Dior to shill couture, but it can't be linked on paper with a small, local business. That's just sad.

Being associated with them is a pox on your resumé and reputation. Their social circles appear to be limited to their staff and others on their payroll, or equally shady try-hards and grifters. Their press releases read as though they were done by some poor lackey told to stay after hours while his boss phones in a sketchy outline of what they want. They ARE grifters. Which, actually, is fine with me, because everyone else in Hollywood is, too. Let them seek their own level, and some people want to be swindled by them.
Where they piss me off is meddling with policy (Harry and his “toxic male” initiative in England) and hatred of free speech, and Meghan calling senators on their private cell phones. Keep your grifting mitts out of politics. Stick to informercials and merching ghetto “luxury” brands.

R41 Harry and Meghan could have been “it” had they been different people with greater emotional and intellectual resources, had they not wanted to have their freedom cake and eat it royally, too; had they been less impulsive, less shady (too many oligarchs in their housing story for one thing), had less need to monetize every thought, did so badly trying to monetize it, weren’t so lazy, weren’t so glaringly stupid (pissing off Grandma was not a good idea but only the first of many bad ideas), and to some extent the pandemic for which they had no workaround except hunker down and do more stupid shit.
Her bot farm and all those pictures of themselves they want to share haven’t changed a thing. We didn’t make them a laughing stock around the world - they did. Their story is on them: nobody else. They have been the engines of their own destruction and, like car crashes and train wrecks, you’re torn: you tell yourself you can’t look and then realize you can’t look away because they’re imploding so spectacularly.

R88 This article is the poster illustration of how the Sussexes, especially Meghan, never fail to misread the room.
It's a transparent PR attempt to blunt the Spotify debacle. It's full of lies, outright lies. Their PR guy (the moment you see Reputation Management you know the person is in deep doo-doo). It walks like one, it quacks like one. The quacks can be heard in Outer Space.
As always, the instinct for overreach and telling ever bigger lies undermines the goal of the PR in the first place. NO ONE, anywhere, believes them.
But what is really interesting is the stuff toward the end of the DM piece, if you can get through it before sinking into a diabetic coma, are the comments about how Meghan is "distancing herself from all the drama in Harry's life" . . . there are several phrases of this kind toward the end.
What this suggests is that Meghan, as so many predicted, has gotten all she can out of Harry and now that it the bloom is off the rose, is antsy to move on.
The problem for her, of course, is that she still may need the title. If so, she'll stick with the marriage in form, but not substance.
Meanwhile, Harry, with his usual gift for cutting off his nose to spite his face, has attacked in a public record document a sitting elected government a year out from an election. In doing so, he's finally given the government an incentive to go where it has avoided going in the face of multiple petitions to remove his and/or Andrew's titles.
Next reading for the new Titles Removal Bill is 23 November. Wouldn't it be ironic if all Harry's done is give Parliament the incentive to pass it, and make it possible for the King to take the Sussex title with only an informal discussion with a "Parliamentary Committee"? Instead of a public discussion in the House and passing a bill and all that wearisome hoopla that everyone, from both Palaces (Westminster and Buckingham) were keen to avoid before Harry opened his moronic mouth and put his smelly feet inside?

I would rather have Johnny Depp bend over, spray his nuts with Dior Sauvage, and stick my face up his ass and take a huge whiff before I would buy anything merched by MM or Harry.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | June 18, 2023 1:14 PM |
^I'd add to the above post that if the Sussex title does go, Meghan will have even less incentive to stay in the marriage. Her kids got their silly titles that are meaningless outside the royal family, she will look ridiculous calling herself Princess Henry or Princess Meghan, and her grandchildren will be commoners. The Sussex title is the only one Harry can pass on to his grandchildren through Archie. By the time Archie has a son, that kid will either be a great-grandchild show stands no chance of an HRH Prince title, or the nephew of the King for which you get nada.
But the Sussex title is one that can go on past the Prince title Archie has now. If the King takes that, no Archie, Duke of Sussex when Harry is raptured, and Harry's grandson is plain old Mr Mountbatten-Windsor.
I think taking the Sussex title will sting far more for this reason.
And without it, I doubt Meghan will stick around for long.
How clever was Harry to give the government incentive and a good case for making it easier to take it, eh?
by Anonymous | reply 119 | June 18, 2023 1:15 PM |
Yep, Meghan is the one who signed on with WME. As far as I know, Harry hasn’t. The splitting began a while back; as you might have noticed, Meghan was silent and invisible while Harry was promoting his book and that Gabor Mate debacle. I’m surprised she even allowed him near her Glo Award ceremony. But I suspect she needed him for the NEAR FATAL chase.
She must have some other stooge on the back burner. Probably claims Harry is abusive.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | June 18, 2023 1:22 PM |
Even after the divorce, and even after Harry remarries, Meghan will just keep using her courtesy titles no matter what.
Even if they are officially removed by the family or by Parliament, she'll still insist that she be called "Duchess", especially when she's on Real Housewives, as we all know she will be in what can only be a matter of time.

You know that the overflowing litter box scenario (plus a filthy mess of a household) would be a reality, for Harry at least, if they didn't have staff to make their lives run smoothly. He's an alcoholic/addict with few pre-existing life skills who's been propped up by the institutions and people around him since he was born. First, his nannies and beloved mother, next the Palace staff and courtiers, then Sandhurst and the MoD, and back to the Palace, and finally in Meghan's tractor beam. Left to his own devices he flounders.
I'm sure part of Simmons irritation derived from having to deal with a man baby, never mind Harry's intellectual deficits. His job titles, skills, and knowledge were wasted on Harry. In no other world would an executive at his level otherwise have been obligated to spend any time on such an utter nincompoop. Harry's lineage and title undeservedly got him in the door. It's not just deplorable, it's anti-American!

Yeah, I know its reported that WME's beat is Archewell, but I don't buy that. It would not surprise me one bit if he is urging her to go back to acting, to try to attempt a role along the lines of Wilhelmina Slater.
And it hardly needs to be said, but there should be no perception that I'm putting Markle's minimal talent anywhere near the level of my adored Vanessa Williams., but still.

I think Megs sees herself more as a producer…power…vs an actress being told what to do.
I’d love it if Tyler Perry gave her a talk show on BET. That’s a real tough role (although I’m sure she believes she could do it) and many, more talented people have flamed out. It would afford ENDLESS entertainment while it was on though.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | June 18, 2023 2:13 PM |
The Tyler Perry angle should be interesting now that he outright owns BET. I'd like to know what he thinks of her. He didn't get to where he is by suffering fools. He's religious, isn't? He might take his role as Lilibet’s godfather seriously, in which case he's tied to her for a while. I imagine she's already pitched "ideas" to him and has some kind of transactional expectations about the relationship. Maybe this is her best angle at the producer/power role that r123 suggests.

R126, where’s the actual proof of his ownership? I’m seeing lots of articles questioning the deal and some acting as if. by Anonymous | reply 129 | June 18, 2023 5:56 PM |
R120 Actually, Harry was signed by WME a couple of years ago. Got him nothing.
WME has a wide range of niches and levels of clients.
And, as Sidney Pollack as Dustin Hoffman's agent screamed early in "Tootsie" when his client berated him for not sending him up for "The Ice Man Cometh" in Minneapolis,
"What am I, your mother?! I'm not supposed to find jobs for you. I'm supposed to FIELD OFFERS!"
That all WME is supposed to do: field offers. Not find work for Meghan.
The Tyler Perry aspect is a whole other ballgame. One thing I doubt Perry will tolerate is failure. He's far too savvy and he has a major business empire to run and build to further success.
He won't be kind to Meghan if she fucks up. He doesn't strike me as sentimental or impulsive.

I read somewhere they've got an $8M mortgage on their McMansion and have to pay $200K a year in property taxes. Presumably, they get a lot of freebies from rich friends who loan them their private jets which they seem to be addicted to. But rich friends eventually tire of being mooched off of.
Harry's always whining about what bodyguards cost him + security + housekeeping staff + nannies + all the people they pay to work in their company/foundation whatever it is + all the people they had to pay to produce their reality TV show, podcast and the ghostwriter on Harry's book + publicists + WME + polo + LAWYERS. Harry's turned into a vexatious litigant, a very pricey hobby.
They must be burning through a fortune.

Meghan and Harry seem to be ideal marks for grifting 'financial advisors' and lawyers. Harry never handled money, everything was paid for him. Meghan's earnings were modest and she certainly never had the means to buy herself $500K worth of clothes in one year as she did when she married Harry.

R141 this struck me in their Netflix’s doc: there was a scene where they were at Tyler Perry’s house and Meghan was saying that Perry told them they could stay as long as they’d like (presumably rent free). Can’t remember exactly what Harry said but basically let’s stay forever rent free.
It was the first time I actively disliked him and realized what an entitled asshole he is. No clue that people pay to live.
To her credit, she dismissed him and said they needed to find their own place. First time I ever liked her.
Say what you will about her, she’s a hustler and has a work ethic. She’s also a humorless, talentless, self important harridan, but she’s not lazy.
Harry is dumb, lazy and a tattle tale. She should leave him. I’d side with her.

It doesn't matter what stupid offer someone makes you in a moment of sentiment (or maybe calculation in Perry's case), to be willing to take them up on it to the hilt signals an asshole. I wonder if she set Dimbo up with that comment, knowing he'd show his ass.
When they do split up, his access to the kids should be supervised. He seems like the kind of douche who'd get suicidal and think it okay to take the kids with him.

They are grifters and I've heard they aren't even living together. Gays of LA - remember the old San Vicente Inn now exclusive members only San Vicente Bungalows. It's been reported that Harry is basically living in a bungalow there getting wasted every night. Meghan is reported to be living part time at the Beverly Wilshire across from WME (where she can also relive her 90's Pretty Woman fantasies at the Reg Bev Wil).
With regards to Dior, Jennifer Lawrence was the face and wore the clothes when she was at the absolute top of her game. I wonder if Dior was testing out their marketing strategy with Harry's wrinkled Dior morning suit he wore to the Coronation that looked like shit on him. I don't see it. Love them or hate them, their brand is considered toxic. I don't see a Dylan Mulroney situation, but it seems like a lose lose for Dior. They don't need them as ambassadors. Maybe Reitman's in Canada might consider another colab even though, as a nobody, Meghan stole a pair of $1000 shoes and treated everyone like absolute shit on the set.

When she was a struggling actress she hustled. It was in the Bowers book. She constantly put herself out there, networking, blogging, attending every event to which she could wangle an invitation, auditions, meeting magazine editors and proposing stories, filming commercials and print campaigns. All promotion all the time, selling herself, and she was successful, incredibly successful for a mediocre actress of average attractiveness.
But as a philanthropist with a podcast, her lack of managerial ability, talent, or charisma came to the forefront. She couldn’t manage a team, she couldn’t write anything except word salad, and the spotlight was on her poisonous personality. I’m sure she “worked hard” but she was spinning her wheels due to the aforementioned issues.

I cannot imagine anyone as ugly as Harry has become in middle age being the face of anything. What would Dior do about that lake-sized bald spot, Bozo fringe of red hair, scraggle teeth, moobs, and beady eyes?!
Yes, he wore a Dior suit to the coronation, and to say that he did nothing for it is to understate the sartorial truth.
And, the idea that Meghan would allow Harry to sign with Dior but without including her is also absurd. The jokes would write themselves.
Neither of them wear clothes well. She couldn't even manage a classy wedding gown with the help of Givenchy. And the woman who designed it was sacked from Givenchy a short time later.
Then there's the little matter of how much digital correction would be needed for both of them.
Why in God's name would Dior want either of those faces in magazine ads, especially after the Spotify fiasco. And what if Netflix follows suit either before or after it airs "Heart of Invictus", if it airs it?
Only an agreement simply to wear Dior to the many, many, many first-tier public outings they are always invited makes some sense.
Oh, wait . . . .!

R140 That one is close to the truth. The house was $14 million and they put down about $5 million. So they are carrying a huge mortgage, and the property's maintenance costs, with the orchards, the guest house, the pool, and the main house with 16 bathrooms and nine bedrooms cannot but be enormous, from utilities to staff. Then there's their huge security bills (they were warned about this in their "summit" with the BRF before they bailed so precipitously), and, unsurprisingly, the battle Harry has fought to claw it back from the government and country he trashed has failed dismally. Instead, he's on the hook for hundreds of thousands in legal fees - including to the Home Office.
Which brings us to the amount of money he's spending on using the British courts as a channel for his undiminished toxic rage.
He will lose the case he's got going that actually challenges the law that public services are not for private hire. If he does, that will be hundreds of thousands more.
The Mirror Group case is crap shoot right now. He might get that over the line if the other witnesses do better than he does in terms of solid evidence.
But if he loses that, too, in addition to the challenge to public/private hire case, he'll be out so much money that they could well have to sell the house if another big card doesn't fall onto the table.
You can never say for certain that the card won't, they still have some friends in high places, which is where Tyler Perry would come in.
But if Netflix axes them, I would say that their brand is totally toxic and they'll have to start from scratch to rebuild.

R161 No it does not. A nine million dollar, 30 year loan comes to a bit less than $50,000/month. The property taxes are about $15,000/mo. I’m guessing the insurance is as much, so there’s another $15,000/mo.
That’s about $80,000 a month, or less than a million dollars a year. Staff and security and upkeep and repairs and travel and gowns? Even if all that came to triple the housing costs, that’s still only another $3 million a year.
And $4 million/yr is still a long way from the $8 million monthly nut initially quoted. They don’t have 96 million dollars - let alone spend that much every year. How could they? If you take every paycheck they’ve manifested or earned, every inheritance he’s supposedly gotten, and any money she had pre-nup, it comes nowhere close to that figure. They didn’t get $20 million from Spotify. He may have made money on the book, but the deal for three books was to have been $20 million. He may have inherited money from his mother and great grandmother, but those guesstimates never went higher than $25 million. Add in whatever speaking fees they earned and the alleged five million more from the Bank of Dad and you still don’t top sixty million bucks total.
They have been in Casa Olive Garden for almost three years. I’d love to think they’re stupid enough to want a $100,000,000 life but know they don’t have one because they’d have been outta there, broke, about eight months after they moved in if they did.
Show us how they’re paying 8 million dollars a month to stay there. They don’t have enough money.

R166 Neither he nor his brother inherited a dime from the Queen or the Queen Mother. Harry's rep finally came out and put paid to the long-reported but never proven gift to the kids of the richest of her grandchildren. They were each left a trust fund by Diana based on her divorce settlement from Charles, who got taken to the cleaners by her solicitor.
They amount was somewhere around 14 million quid. In the ensuing 20 years, the funds grew to about 30 million each. That was Harry's sole inheritance. There are tax track records for it. It is a published fact. The rest is just The Rumour That Won't Die Despite Denials From Harry's Estate And No Proof Ever Anywhere.
The custom in families like this is to leave the whole thing to the direct heir and leave it to them to dole it out as they see fit, with "bequests" listed in the Will, which is sealed.
The Queen Mother died deep in debt in the seven figures. She left everything, which is mostly to say art, jewelry, furnishings, homes . . . And the Queen left everything to Charles . . . and Charles will leave everything to William, with bequests to Camilla, and perhaps some trust funds for the grandchildren with whom he had an actual loving relationships.
My guess is that Harry has decimated his trust fund to keep Meghan in the style to which she was dying to become accustomed.
Other than that - well, it's anyone's guess.

Though the deal for the books was 20M, isn't that an advance on book sales? Harry had to have made a fortune on Spare, but I don't presume to know how this works. Let's say 30M from Diana (interest over time), 20M from the book, 30M from Netflix (1/3 the projected amount of 100M), 5M from Spotify, plus side hustles and whatever other shady investment they might be involved in and for the sake of argument 10M from *possible* inhertances or heirlooms from the late Queen and Queen Mum. That's a realistic 95 million on the low side. They should be able to afford a 14M house without too much of a stretch.Everything someone else said about the house in Montecito is correct. I've heard same thing about the house, the problems, etc. 14M is on the cheap side for the area.

If the Queen Mother (who was in debt up to her eyeballs given the lavish life she lived) had any money to leave to anybody, she would have left it to Margaret's kids. And Harry didn't inherit $30 M from Diana's divorce settlement. It was evenly divided between him and William. Which no doubt pisses off Harry no end. All those millions Harry supposedly raked in from Netflix, Spotify and his book - that wasn't his personal allowance and paid in advance. That was a sum put forward if he completed all the assignments he supposedly was going to work on less, of course, all the money he had to pay out to staff and the people who actually did the work on the Netflix show and the Spotify podcast.
I figure he's borderline broke. I loved the comment from Charles when the Queen asked him why he'd stopped taking Harry's phone calls: I am not a bank.

Spotify is a pretty big commercial concern. It terminated a business relationship with these 2 because they did not live up to their end of the business deal they made. One of Spotify's bigger stakeholders publicly stated that the relationship ended because the 2 were grifters, i.e. a euphemistic way of calling them thieves of a special kind. H & M are FINISHED as business people. No large company is going to trust them to do ANYTHING, going forward. Their goodwill as people who can induce the public to buy any kind of product through their endorsement has swirled right on down the toilet, this past weekend. They were taken seriously at the outset of their move to the US because Harry was bringing along the cache' of the BRF with him, even if he was "stepping aside" from the BRF in England. But it didn't turn out that any of that supposed royal cache' survived in the US after Harry and the Mrs. diligently and persistently savaged said BRF as part of their business model. They're both apparently fools. Smegma's avariciousness and Harhar's high-born sense of entitlement don't translate into any kind of real-world savvy, it looks like. I think they're done for, as far as employability at ANYTHING is concerned. The time for that extended "safari" over in Kenya is getting closer and closer. Once relocated to Africa, we'll never hear a peep about them again.

The reports that Meghan hadn't even done all the interviews herself is actually old news. That came out shortly after the podcasts ended, one of the less starry interviews put up a public post about how she appreciated being interviewed by a Spotify staffer for the Archewell series. It has never been challenged, and as one newscaster put it, it smacks of Meghan's diva-esque nature: she only showed up in person for the Big Names. The others were left to staff to pull together and then insert Meghan's voice asking the questions.
The story was never, ever challenged.
She really is slime.
The contracts with Penguin, Spotify, and Netflix are all built the same way: advance/retainer to produce the product, then the rest on a percentage basis if and as the product sells.
The Penguin deal included that ghastly children's book Meghan "wrote"; Harry's memoir; and, allegedly a second book from Harry, and a memoir from Meghan. Two down, two to go, and the first one lost money big time. But the worm has turned, and with the Sussexes realising how they shot themselves in the feet slagging off the Windsors for money, and the public tiring of the slagging, and the gossip likely used up, the primary reasons for another two books have gone. Anyone's guess what Penguin RH will be thinking.
Same with Netflix: it axed "Pearl". The Harkles shot their wad with the "docuseries". They know what it's like to work with the two petty monsters. What's the incentive for Netflix if the juice is gone?
So all those figures are dust in the wind. The Sussexes got their retainer fee, and whatever percentage was agreed upon for the Netflix dirt.
These companies aren't stupid. There is always an EXIT clause built into the contract.
The gruesome twosome did not clean up nearly as much as the media said. For that kind of dough, you have to put out. And with SPARE and the Trash the Windsors by the Victims of Same done, what else is there? They can't write, they can't produce, and they can't spill any more tea without making the hole they are in even deeper.
And, what's more, stories are beginning to leak out now how badly Meghan treated Spotify staff.
Meghan, especially, should never have forgotten that old sayin about treating nicely the people you meet on the way up: they'll be the same people waving at you on the way down.
by Anonymous | reply 211 | June 20, 2023 10:45 PM |

Now the rumour is being floated that she's "thinking" about Cartier.
The woman now realises that having blown the royal gig AND the post-royal gig, her only road left to hard cash is luxury brand deals and "influencer".
Tom Bower asserts that talks with Dior really were occurring but when the Spotify sacking came out, they pretended otherwise because she's damaged goods now.
He also said on Wootton's GBN show last night that Harry and Meghan want a "full break" with the past by changing their names legally from "Mountbatten Windsor" to (wait for it . . .) SPENCER.
Bower added that Meghan thinks this way she really can become Diana.
IF true, this supersedes in quality of derangement all the other seriously deranged shit the Harkles have pulled since they got married.
I would love to hear Earl Spencer's opinion on this.
And, of course, it would be a gift to those thinking it's time not only to remove the Sussex title (Prince Henry Spencer, Duke of Sussex? Think not - although Bower also mentioned that he thinks they want to give up the Sussex title, as well, to make a "clean break" of it).
Bower is well connected, but he's not always right. But if he's right about the move to Spencer and giving up the Sussex title, one must wonder if the Harkles have some inkling that both the government and the Palace are considering taking the Sussex title for real.
Whatever the fine details, it is clear that the Sussexes do need a rebrand, and they need it fast.
Thoughts?

Sir Trevor Phillips denounced the duo - the black former UK diversity/equality tsar and a long-time columnist, also with mixed race children, wrote a blistering column yesterday for the misrepresentation of Britain and dodging the opportunity their royal work offered to change perceptions and help millions., and for making everything about race.
Sentebale (Harry's only real big private charity) scheduled its next big international charity polo match in Singapore - three months before William's Earthshot Prize rocks up there. Apparently, there was so much backlash on SM that Sentebale took the announcement down and closed its SM. I didn't check this morning to see if that was still the case. I imagine the backlash was more to do with Harry's and Meghan's current damaged images than am attempt to upstage a later appearance by William.

He detailed all of the shitty times she mistreated people: trying to get cooking shows or cookbooks using her connections with chef Cory, hanging out with McIlroy (hinting they fucked while she was dating Cory), getting a trip to Malta by pretending she had family ties there, going to Africa to help poor kids but bringing along a hairdresser and nice clothes and doing photoshoots all day, stealing shoes and mistreating staff at the Reitmans shoot. One thing you have to know about the Express: it makes the DM look like The Financial Times.
The DE also ran a story yesterday "Huge boost to Meghan as Democrats think she can beat Trump!"
Interview based on 555 people, all Democrats, who would vote for Genghis Khan against Trump.
Never mind the fact that the poll is garbage, Meghan doesn't want a political career she wants celebrity luxury without too much stress, she's socipathically thin-skinned, carries a British royal title, quit her cushy role with the BRF because it was too much work, and that she has enough skeletons in her closet for a remake of "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad".
The DM isn't the absolute bottom of the UK tabloid industry: that honor is split between the DE and the Globe.

They grifted their very own studio despite Spotify having its own state-of-the-art facilities. I have a feeling it's going get as cobwebby as Miss Havisham's house.
[QUOTE]Choosing the right kind of guest was often fraught. Meghan wrote Taylor Swift a personal letter asking her to come on the podcast. The pop star declined, through a representative.
In her own "calligraphy" or official D&DoS business stationary where their titles appear three times in the letterhead, body, and signature line? Sounds like she didn't have Taylor's own personal phone number like she did the Democratic Senators she personally called. I guess Taylor doesn't have a Kristin Gillibrand on her team, fortunately
[QUOTE]Meghan would often ask for changes late in the editing process, at times recruiting senior Spotify executives, including then-Chief Content Officer Dawn Ostroff, to call producers and push them to make changes.
She sounds like a joy to work with. I wonder how much time and money was spent managing the "talent," listening to Harry's quarter-baked ideas (emphasis on baked) and explaining why they don't work, and reining in Meghan's megalomaniacal, controlling tirades.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐩𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐬 will rewrite DIckens
Taylor Swift turned down an invitation to appear on Meghan Markle's podcast despite receiving a 'personal letter' from Duchess, it has been claimed.
The pop singer was asked by Meghan herself to appear on Archetypes, but she declined through her representative, the Wall Street Journal reported.
It comes as the newspaper summed up Harry and Meghan's dealings with Netflix as 'big ideas, subpar execution' after executives of the streaming giant and Spotify reportedly said they were 'underwhelmed' by the pair's lack of strong ideas and productivity.
The pair are currently creating a Great Expectations-inspired show for Netflix called Bad Manners.
Described as a prequel to the Charles Dickens classic, the show retells the story of a lonely Miss Haversham living in a patriarchal society.
It is currently not known if the show has been commissioned by Netflix itself.
The Wall Street Journal analysis said that Harry and Meghan had suggested shows that were too similar to already popular Netflix programmes such as sitcoms like Emily in Paris but 'about a man', and a show about LGBTQ characters similar to those in Heartstopper.
Another suggestion was a documentary discussing misinformation - which also did not make it off the drawing board.
Also rejected was an animated show about powerful women in history called Pearl. When it revealed the cancellation of the kid's programme in May 2022, Netflix representatives said it was decided that children would not be influenced by the fact the show was produced by a duchess.

If that's true about Taylor Swift turning down Markle that could be speculated about in so many ways.
I'll try my hand a couple of them. In fairness to Markle, I'll begin with my "best possible light" speculation:
1. Maybe Swift has also turned down other requests, too. Maybe even from someone who is perceived to be higher up on the famous and celebrated chain than Markle.
I gather Swift has Streisand-level control on her career and image. She's not turning herself over to just any interviewer, perhaps not even to Oprah, when she can interview herself in her songs and release it to her fans and make money off of them.
Ok, now that's out of the way.
Holy shit, the knives are out.
Again, if the personally written request from Markle to Swift is true, at least, only 2 people know of it - Swift and Markle. Add in their agents. Somebody blabbed.
Which leads me to my tin-hat, pulled outta my ass speculation - Whoever leaked the "Taylor turned down Markle" has it in for WME, Markle's agency. They were the target, and Markle was arrow.
by Anonymous | reply 271 | June 25, 2023 11:54 AM |
To be expected, I suppose, but all their 'ideas' were rip-off of other people's existing shows. I imagine Meghan asked for changes to Archtype editions as this was the first time she'd actually heard it, once other people had basically made them.

They should've stuck to being performing automatons for Harry's immediate family. Was that such a bad gig?
They don't know how to create content, only how to be content.
And if you're aging, is being immediately behind King William and Queen Catherine that intolerable?
True, you won't have their glory, but you won't have their headaches and relentless responsibility either.
by Anonymous | reply 273 | June 25, 2023 12:33 PM |
R273 asks, “was that such a bad gig?” No. Harry doesn’t have all his older brother has and will get. It’s called primogeniture. That said, he has more resources to call upon than 99.999% of the world’s population. It’s not like the glass is half full - it’s overflowing but that’s not enough nor will it ever be for those who only want more.
“Is being immediately behind King William and Queen Catherine that intolerable?” To raging narcissists trying to monetize their discontent there’s only one answer: “Yes.” Especially when you have to bow to them.

Former model and reality star turned TV producer and 'InstaMom' is the latest executive through the revolving door at Meghan and Harry's broadcasting business, it was revealed today.
Tracy Ryerson, 43, is the new Head of Scripted Content at Archewell Productions amid rumours the Sussexes are pitching to Netflix to make a feminist-focused prequel to Charles Dickens' Great Expectations, which focuses on the world's most famous jilted bride Miss Havisham.
Tracy is a TV executive who worked for the production company behind Peaky Blinders. But 𝑠ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑎 𝑓𝑎𝑚𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑈𝑆 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛 𝑡𝑤𝑜 𝑠𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝐿 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑑, which filmed her and her stand-up comic partner Stamie Karakasidis, who had three children from a previous relationship.
The couple took their relationship on screen after Tracy realised she was gay in her mid-twenties and met Stamie. 13 years later they still remain together. Tracy describes herself on social media as a 'TV producer, sometimes actress, always InstaMom'.
Ms Ryerson, who is nicknamed 'T Rye' by friends, could be tasked with working with Netflix, who signed the couple up for a reported $100million in 2020. There have been claims that Archewell is looking to hire writers to create 'feel-good' shows including romantic comedies for the streaming giant.

r303 Increasingly, especially now that Harry and Meghan are damaged goods losing their novelty, I don't really see the point of their Netflix deal. They are literally just slapping their name on a tin , giving everybody else instructions about what their idea is and just sitting back doing little as everybody else does all the work
They are not a creative force or popular artistic brand. They are just a label on a biscuit tin after everybody but them has done all the hard work making the biscuits.

[QUOTE]giving everybody else instructions about what their idea is and just sitting back doing little as everybody else does all the work
Not only this, but repeatedly returning the product with complaints and requesting changes after providing half-baked ideas and minimal sweat equity to the project. It frustrates and demoralizes the hardworking staff, drags out the production schedule/ delivery date, and adds costs.
Changing subject slightly, it occurred to me that one thing I haven't heard about as a money-making scheme is creating a design label a la Victoria Becham or Rhianna. So many celebrity females have lines of clothes, handbags, perfumes, etc. Granted she has atrocious tastes, but her followers likely do too, and she'd have professionals working for her much like the poor souls on her Spotify podcast.

Chelsy and Pippa have the right idea. Marry anonymous billionaires and enjoy your privacy. (Of course Chelsy has her own family money and a law degree to boot.)
I guess Kate’s marriage to William paved the way for Pippa, but she must have had other options. One wonders why anyone with a bit of sense would marry into the Royal family. It’s as if she had some very antiquated idea as to what successful husband hunting looks like.
There is a woman in my social group whose husband is a surgeon. He seems to have a pretty lackluster practice with his father in a working class town. In other words, he’s no plastic surgeon to the stars. They are also a middle Eastern, and she is from a Maryland Eastern Shore family (blue collar.)
Anyway, she carries on like they are just the most fabulous people who ever lived. Meanwhile I’m thinking she didn’t get the memo that doctors are not the “must have” rich husband since at least the 1980s. Now it’s all about tech bros and hedge fund managers.

Ugh, her two favorite fashion props are back -- the white boyfriend shirt and the ridiculous Panama hat. "I wasn't sure what to wear this morning so I just threw on one of Harry's shirts!" She's so easy, breezy, and spontaneous! And rumpled. She really should have gone to the ladies room and retucked before swanning out in front of the paps.

Those shorts are exactly the wrong length for Markle.
A just above the knee, or, at the shortest, lower mid-thigh trouser shorts would be better. No clingy biker shorts, just a classic cut width.

Growing up my mom and dad would have parties with their friends and we would have to go up and stay in our bedrooms, also they mainly took us to family style restaurants, they went to the upscale restaurants by themself.
But now I noticed with my brothers and their wives and with my coworkers/friends that people take their kids everywhere now and when we go to their house the kids are involved in everything (too much sometimes for me). So it is really strange that you don't see or hear about H&M taking their children shopping or to dinner or somewhere fun.

r368 I do wonder what about Africa he thinks he's qualified to talk about. I get he likes the place. Sub-Saharan Africa is beautiful in places, and the paparazzi aren't dedicated enough to follow him into the bush. But he's spent at most what 6 months there in his entire life? He doesn't seem particularly knowledgeable about animals so wildlife show seems out, as does an Anthony Bourdain type food show. British royal does a normal travel show around Africa with history thrown in should be... Interesting given the locals blame his family for quite a lot. He's going to have to apologise 4 times an episode or get pilloried on Twitter. Only one I can see maybe working is Prince Harry does Lesotho since its not a country that gets covered much and he's in with the Lesotho royal family so they can do most of the heavy lifting.

R373, supposedly, Harry's white savior mind believes 'Africa' belongs to him. One of his points of contention is that William was named Patron of the Tusk Trust (African elephant conservancy) which Harry dearly coveted. If Harry cared for actual conservancy or any other aspect of Africa, patronages would not matter and he would find another way to spearhead work. Additionally, if he really cared he would be happy for the visibility his brother brings to the cause. But no, it is merely a prize to be prised from his brother.
by Anonymous | reply 380 | July 3, 2023 7:43 PM |
Bigger bedroom, more sausages, better patronages. This is a generational pattern for tpatronage. 😂
Former Buckingham Palace maid Janette McGowan lifted the lid on Andrew’s childish tantrum at Christmas 1999 — when he was 39.
She said household staff were alerted to an “ongoing situation” after the Duke of York had bagsied the wrong bathroom.
He then refused to move his toiletries when told that it had been reserved for his older brother and future king Charles, then 51.
“We were told not to move anything and not to touch anything in that bathroom because there was an ‘ongoing situation’.”
But she told how it was eventually sorted out by the Queen having words with Andrew while Charles waited patiently for a resolution.

I still can't believe Harry didn't release a single podcast in the two and a half years he was at Netflix. He must have assumed someone else would simply come along and do everything for him - write the script, book the guests, etc. I suppose he's never known any different. In a strange way, it makes me feel a bit sorry for him. Being born into royalty must mean there are so many basic skills you never get the chance to develop. In the Oprah interview, he said that when Meghan told him she was depressed, he went to the Palace and they didn't help. You're a grown man, Harry, contact a doctor.

R386 - I asked the very same question on the "What happened to the Harry we all knew" thread. I had a hunch about cocaine abuse and Googled. Found a study with these results. This is what I posted
[QUOTE]Ultra-structural alterations of hair obtained from cocaine users -- In the examination of the hair shafts of cocaine abusers, it was found that the keratinized structure was damaged in all individuals and 97.2% of their hair samples, and hair shafts were detected as ribbon-like and irregular (Figure 2A). Electron microscopic examination of hair also reveals that cuticle layer, which is the most outer layer of hair shaft, was almost disappeared in 95.8% of the samples.

Some guys use a perm to make it look like they have more hair on top. The brillo pad hairs are actually longer when they're stretched out, with the curls used to cover more area as well give some "density."

In my eyes, Katherine, the Princess of Wales, can almost do no wrong in her apparel choices.
From now on, however, I think she should avoid pleated skirts.
The combination of them and her age is giving her a slightly matronly look.

Bad luck? More like a series of bad decisions on their part. From the Oprah interview, to merching a funeral wreath to the phony car chase. However, I think it was Meg's mocking having to curtsey to The Queen that really turned off a lot of people who may have been in their corner up to that point.

Meghan received a Gracie (for women in the industry) for either Archetypes or the doco, can't recall which. She didn't bother to go to the ceremony which was the week after the Hertz Prize and near catastrophic car chase. It's an event attended by all sorts of women on the industry from editors, writers and producers to actual top stars.
An excellent opportunity to rub elbows and subtlety network, but Meghan didn't show. Too embarrassed by the fallout from their near catastrophe or is she too embarrassed to be around women with actual talent and experience under their belts? Is she capable a non-superficial conversation that's not laden with therapy jargon and platitudes?
by Anonymous | reply 469 | July 17, 2023 5:21 PM |
She knew that nobody would have a thing to say to her. That she would not be deferred to. That her title means nothing in that milieu. That she has no talent to showcase.
by Anonymous | reply 470 | July 17, 2023 5:49 PM |
What on earth would Meghan say to women who are actually talented and accomplished? I doubt they are interested in her word salad that is focused on "me me me!!!"

R469: "Meghan received a Gracie (for women in the industry) for either Archetypes or the doco, can't recall which."
Archetypes and the award went to "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex."

I don't particularly believe it, considering the source and considering the two devious bozos. A lot of Will They Or Not will ensue, with loads of anti-Royal Family crap about two losers who have nothing else going on and are desperate to stay in the news, any news.

Radar Online.- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are 'taking time apart' after public backlash, failed business deals, and public feuds with their loved ones.
by Anonymous | reply 478 | July 19, 2023 2:23 AM |
Of course, in Harry's mind his marriage is falling apart because "my family literally cut me off financially." "All I wanted was enough money to get security and keep my family safe." Would he even dare suggest his father is responsible for his marital dissolution? I think so. You know that saying "insanity is repeating the same behavior expecting different results." These dolts are undisputed world titleists for scoring own goals very publicly.
I don't don't expect things to get much better once the court rules on his Mirror lawsuit. I am also eagerly awaiting a new episode of South Park. I hope the writers had the episode complete before the strike.
[QUOTE]The source added that the Sussexes — who moved to Montecito, Calif., in March 2020 after stepping back as senior members of the royal family — are “under tremendous financial pressure to fund their lavish California lifestyle, including their $14 million mansion and huge security costs.”

That has been his standard appearance since around the time of the wedding. Like he knows he has ruined himself and has lost hope. But perhaps he will soon cheer up.

Harry: I need a place in Africa.

Harry: Perhaps someplace that Granny used to own where they'd still be interested in me.

Dimbo always thinks everyone is interested in him. All the tv shows, interviews, PR statements (eg the invasion of Ukraine), and that fucking book about his every whinge and whine...humble he isn't.
And there is intense interest, it's just that's in seeing how much more he can fuck up his life.

“Spare” has become the most discarded book of the summer, according to travel company On the Beach. Over 100 copies of the controversial tell-all have been ditched in hotel rooms, garbage cans and by pools in resorts across Europe.
“We’ve never witnessed anything quite like it. Lost property offices in our most popular resorts are brimming with copies of ‘Spare,’” Chief customer officer Zoe Harris told the Express.
“We thought it was funny at first but, over the past few months, several other hotels have been sending the books back.”
Harris said the company now has “bookcases full” of “Spare” and has asked hotels to “stop sending them over otherwise we’ll never get rid of them all.”

I hate Rupert Murdoch, but, it can't be denied that Hollywood eventually siding with Will and Kate was predicted many times here, way, way before Page Six said so.
Now, I wonder if even WME can rescue this situation.

What can they do in Hollywood? And the way WAAGH! has been discarded, there's unlikely to be a second book.
I doubt Dimbo is conceding any ground to the BRF, though. Still getting high and playing video games, no doubt.
