Beanie Feldstein had the audience loving “Don’t Rain On My Parade”

Thank you for sharing these. I am pleasant surprised by their quality and ashamed of my aesthetic assessment of the actress.

If it were a community theatre production in North Carolina, then maybe. But this is. It a Broadway caliber performance.

The others stand around and... stand, she clutches arms? What kind of production is this? And I like her voice. I'm still a little underwhelmed.

Beanie acted the hell out of this, but it's too small for the show and the medium. Lea is and always will be a floor show, which is why she was so well received. Hope she enjoys her moment, as her career is far less sustainable than Beanie's. Her being a total cunt doesn't help matters.

She looks and sounds like a talented amateur actor starring in a Funny Girl production in Nebraska.

It is ridiculous she headlined this show on Broadway.

She’s probably a nice person to be around though, so that’s something. I’ve liked her in the supporting film roles she’s done. She’ll be fine.

If you go to youtube and search "don't rain on my parade high school" you'll get dozens of high schoolers singing the song about as well as she does.

I'm not a fan of Lea for a lot of reasons, including her singing which I find overly affected, but Feldsteing should never have been cast.

They waited nearly 60 years to do a revival of Funny Girl, and the best they could come up with was Beanie? Beanie wasn't the worst, but she was kind of community theatre.

Mary Kim Kuhny did a better job of it in our production of it at Oak Park-River Forest High School in 1973.
