We're currently at a time in history where all the adults are dead and all the children are living.

I was born in 1970. I will likely be around to see at least 4 or 5 of them die. It's highly unlikely I will see them all die. Mike Lookenland and Susan Olsen are 9 and 10 years older than me respectively. There's a good chance either or both could outlive me, or maybe Jan and Peter.

And yet it's the baby Partridges who are dying one after another while Shirley Jones still walks among us.
