He took a sabbatical

It was called “his life”

That’s pretty unimpressive.
If this guy was 101 - THAT would be noteworthy.

He’s a retired lawyer. He went back to college to finish his degree after working as a lawyer for 35 years

He got stranded on a three hour tour for 50+ years.

At first glance I was confused as to his receiving a bachelors degree AFTER practicing law for 35 years. I thought one needed at least a bachelors degree to gain admission to the law school.
But, after reading the article, it seems you can get into law school with a three year college degree. Good for him.

R11 it works differently in each state. Each state has their own guidelines when it comes to practicing law, yet alone other countries. You don’t need a Bachelors or even college in some countries to be a lawyer. You can go straight to law school after High School in some countries. He’s not American.

Not a bad looker

He is apparently a lawyer and lives in Canada. How did he get a law degree without a Bachelor's, in Canada?

R14 he became a lawyer in the late 70s. What you need in modern day wasn’t always the case.
Law school itself is 3 years of study. Most schools require an undergraduate bachelor’s degree before entering law school although in some special circumstances 3 years of undergrad might be acceptable. He did 3 years of college but never graduated, so he was able to just go to Law School without the degree because some Law Schools in Canada don’t require the degree, just that you finished 3 years of undergrad.
After law school there is a mandatory year long articling or professional admissions program before writing the bar admission exam. In total you will need four years after you start law school before you can begin the practice of law.
