The bakeries are located in San Antonio, Dallas and Denver. That’s where her family lived. She was creating an exit strategy for herself for when the marriage was over. Elizabeth was calculating for a very long time to end the marriage and then destroy him. Armie had created enemies in three different groups of women - his wife, his mistress, and his girlfriends - and they worked together to destroy him once and for all. So, even though he’s not going to jail, he’s certainly not going unpunished.
