Is Dollar Tree going out of business?

No matter what time of day I go, whether I visit urban or suburban locations, the shelves are practically empty. I used to love shopping there. Now it’s just depressing.

Who the hell loves shopping at Dollar Tree? The only time I go in a Dollar Tree is for cheap wrapping paper and reading glasses. And then it's only if I happen to be in a shopping center where I stumble across one. I've never once gotten in my car with the intention of going to Dollar Tree.

I hope it's healthy and thriving. I go there all the time. It's great for household goods, toiletries, greeting cards, small food items, etc.

However, I will admit that some stores have a supply issue.

R1 me too, wrapping paper, it's all I've ever gotten (well and tape for the wrapping paper)

I don't ingest anything from Dollar Tree, irrespective of the orifice.

Before I moved to the UK, I would shop at the Family Dollar/dollar tree once or twice a month.

Their dishwashing liquid and laundry supplies were as cheap as Walmart

R1 obviously missed the classic pound cake discussion a while back.

I go there for inexpensive greeting cards and gift bags a few times a year. The Dollar General here is popular which I don't get because stuff there is more expensive than at the supermarket.

I read a Facebook or YouTube comment that claimed Dollar Tree would be rebranding in the fall and no longer focusing on the dollar (okay $1.25) items. No idea if that’s true but they have been introducing higher priced items in recent years though for now they keep them limited to a single aisle.

The 99 Cents Only chain out of California hasn’t been 99¢ for years. Maybe some items are still that cheap but they’re the exception.

Me. They have great tumbleweed pound cakes.
