I knew someone like this.

He was extremely smart and popular in high school. No one knew until he came out in college that he was gay.

Of course, we also learned later on that he was manipulative and would cajole and browbeat guys in high school into sexual acts with him, including jerkoff sessions, hand jobs, and blow jobs.
