One of my favorite of all Maude episodes.
I loved when Maude tackled various topics but this is just high level broad comedy, and Bea's absolutely FLAWLESS deadpan and timing is glorious.

I saw a truly unsettling episode today on Pluto.
Walter ran upstairs and swallowed a bottle of prescription pills trying to commit suicide. Arthur tried to revive him (Joe’s a physician). He shouts to Maude to call 911. She I instantly starts bitching at an unconscious Walter shouting “why did you do this to me?!!”
Truly strange…

Maude was my introducction to Bea, it played on reruns in syndication in the mid to late 1980s where I lived. I was like 12 and I remember loving it. With that said, I tried to watch it again in about 2009, I found it tough going to get through.
